    a mechanic just told me this today. My condenser was in bad shape and could be why my a/c keepings turning off. He also mention it will ruin the compressor sooner or later.
    Excellent information. Made me realize these guys were being 100% honest. Amazing....... Thank-you

    Great job
    But I am wondering why you didn't mention condensor blockage that may happened due to debris accumulating? Or it's not that important?
    I am not a professional so I was just wondering about this.

    Hi Robin, great work and thanks for the insights. Had a confusing issue with a GLK350 AC. Only works when water is sprayed on the condenser. Could it be the condenser or a wiring problem? have replaced the pressure switch on the condenser but still having same problem. Pls rescue...

      Hi, your problem can be the fan, if the condenser is overheating the problem can be some things like dirty dryer, fines of condenser or low fan speed

    Most belt driven fan (non electric fan) engines will give you a telltale sign. No cooling at idle. The condenser will accumulate refrigerant oil buildup, and since the passages are very small it doesn't take much to clog and create high pressure on the low side

    leak test by connecting bicycle tire interior and cut to two and connect to inlet and outlet ports of condenser by wrapping a rubber band then pressurized by pumping air to tire valve,afterwsrds submerged to container such as basin with water and check for air bubble.

    I have a cooling problem on my 02 neon. There is no fugitive coolant neither from external source or internal via combustion with head gasket.
    This issue presented at ambient air went from 75° to 100°. If I increase radiator surface via the the heater, it drops engine temp.
    On inspection, my electric fans are no longer coming on. Relay is my suspect.
    Also noticed is the a/c condenser is full of rocks and dirt and fins are bent.
    I believe the issue is the a/c condenser

    Wow. I have been taking my carv to.one garage. First I needed a condenser replaced .. Did that and service always ask to have all fluids. Cecked.. my ac just started blowing hot air. I figured it needed charged. It's a 2005 impala with a 3400 sfi engine. 69000 miles. Next my car would not start dead bettery.. had it jumped. Checked. Showed good. About 4vweeks later same thing. Had to have someone come jump it I drove to the parts store and had the battery replaced with the Napa 75 legend battery. Same as one in it. Even though the old battery tested good. No more issues for a couple of months. Then car just all at once started overheating. I pulled off road added coolant. It seemed fine. After t. Then weeks later started getting hot AGAIN took it in they replaced thermostat & gasket, plenum gasket and did a complete radiator flush on the system. Going again. Then my battery is dead again. Took it in they replaced the fuel regulator on top of the motor. Said it had to be fixed or r it would randomly be dead again. So did that. 3 weeks later I take off and my Guage immediately goes to the red zone overheating. Pulled off killed car. Wasn't over 2 miles from home. Let it cool and started home. When it started climbing I would stop let itt cool. Made it home. Called another place to have it checked. I had it TOWED THERE WAS ABOUT 10 oR MORE miles away. They told me my engine was gone. My radiator, at that point I quit listening. Was so sick. $:6500 TO REPAIR. IM SICK. JUST SICK..NO WAY TO WORK. I LIVE OUT IN THE COUNTRY and I'm 65nyears old. I don't know what to do. The car is beautiful. It looks practically new all power. Low miles 74,000. Should I just go finance another car or try to fix? I'm thinking another car, even though I really can't afford right now. I figure it's a have to case. Thanks .

    How do you know if the insides are clogged?

    • @roughas100
      @roughas100 3 роки тому +3

      If the AC compressor is still working check for a roughly even warm/ hot temperature over the front of the condenser, if you're pretty sure the system has a full charge of refrigerant and the condenser is very hot on only a few tubes that run horizontally and the majority ( say over 60% ) of the condenser is at room / outdoor temperature e.g. 30c then it's more than likely the condenser is blocked enough to damage the rest of the AC system . Obviously you'll need to test during a hot day say over 26c to get a good idea on the condensers internal condition.

    I think that's my problem that air is not very cold through the 2 ducts on the pilot's side. since I checked the condenser and it has several lines a little bent. and the pressures are low45psi and high 80. but it only cools on all 4 sides until I hit the highway. and I already changed the 2 fans. do you recommend changing the condenser? thanks and great video!

    nice video! just have a question, my car is blowing hot air once its in idle not moving, the technician said it was the compressor , but i have a doubt it could be the condenser ? because once its moving or driving cold air blows then when i come to stop cold air is gone, i have check the fan both are running fine and also freon is at top up

    • @erikrodriguez3763
      @erikrodriguez3763 4 роки тому +1

      Randy Michael Egwaras If the fans are both working then I definitely agree with you on the problem being with the condenser. I would say you probably have debris in your condenser or it’s just not working at all. Since problems with the condenser can lead to additional issues with the A/C compressor you may have to replace both. Let me know what happens and if you were able to determine the issue. Hope this helped.

    Do I need to add oil if I'm replacing my badly leaking condenser with a new one? If so, how much oil, 1-2 oz? I know my car calls for 140-160cc overall, but I really don't know how much is currently in the system (like in the compressor). Would it be safe to just say "add an ounce or two" with the new condenser?

    • @toddlavigne6441

      I was told if you don't turn on your a/c then you won't be hurting the system because the compressor is not engaged if the a/c is in NOT on. I'm not a mechanic
      but I'm pretty sure your safe. however it still could be bad for your car. So best check with a mechanic.

      Hi Marc. The reason why I did not use the BMW condenser is because it was in perfect condition - so not much to show for this video. And I did not have a car with a failing condenser at hand. It was more important for me to show the different states on a condenser. Which I had the chance to do with these condensers that I was able to borrow for the video. I believed that it still got the message across. I was not trying to pretend like these came from the BMW: I hope this answers your question?
