New Hampshire Ice Fishing- Big Pickerel and Family Fun

Beautiful day on Little Goose Pond in Canaan, NH. Les' $800 propane Auger wouldn't start, so Plan B called for a manual auger. We caught fish all day: Perch and Pickerel. The Large Mouth Bass alluded us. Interesting, there was open water and we wonder if the Large Mouth were more located there avoiding our shiners. We were blessed to have our Otter friend back. Les landed a big Pickerel! His commentary is legendary.

Perkins pond down in Newport produces some great pickerel.
When we ice fished there a few years ago we caught 4 of them in a few hours and the smallest one was 20 inches.
