I learned these jumps the hard way. Flew off one my first week of snowboarding ever and landed flat o. The table top. Bone shudderingly loud clap. Feared them after for years until i tried it again, nailed it. Flying off of a big jump at highspeed is my favorite feeling ever
Absolutely 100% facts. I couldn’t agree more. Overshooting a landing is flat out terrifying on a big jump. You have the time to process how bad what’s about to happen is going to be.
Tough to overshoot that jump though. Landing is massive! Knuckle has been responsible for more injuries for me than overshooting but overshooting generally hurts worse in the moment.
@@PDidHe-ws2ifI lived in Breckenridge for a decade hitting freeway daily. It’s not built anymore for some reason. Little park is still built but one year watched a friend tried to clear this true table no one was hitting and he flew over the landing and ended up breaking his back. Worse accident/injury I’ve ever seen skiing and I’ve seen plenty. Horrifying
Why do we build ramps like this? I feel like we could def make it so that worse case scenario people aren't coming up short and landing on flat ground.
Dude that’s a serious fall. Spine injury type stuff. That kind of air requires the transition into the landing to reduce momentum. He not only hit like flat ground but there’s a lip and he cased it on that like a wall. He basically flew that entire distance like falling off a building. Is he okay? Lol
that’s what im wondering! it’s my home mountain but im guessing they had the park crew from the springs build that monster kicker and the boys just wanted to rep
Someone should make a platform for just boarding and skiing so i dont gotta keep skipping lame ass trend videos n stuff. All i want is the shreddin vids!
Snow is to wet, the run in he wasn’t going faster as he got closer, so knowing he was at max speed with that long run up when he should have more is red flag 1, red flag 2 is the jump has wet snow, so the jump is going to eat a lot of speed, red flag 2. Proper jumps have a defined start location to know how much speed to clear them.
Looked like he was going way to fast for suck little air. I bet if that lip was cut down 10 ft he would have floated that! That lip is like scaling a damn mountain
How tf are you supposed to get enough speed on a lip like that😭😭
Lip was bigger than a building haha
Hit it in the morning when the snow isn't sticky like mashed potatoes
That jacket alone looks like it’s eating half his speed.
Colder snow tbh
Wax
I was like oh he’s going quick then I saw the jump. Oh he’s way slow
このチョッカリでデコるって、キッカー設計ミスやら
I thought the same till I saw the ramp . I was like not enough not enough notenough knuklessssd
Wa xxxxx ur board
When going fast-as-fuck isn't fast enough 😂
that was slow AF actually
He wasn't going fast at all 😂
Fast af huh? Lol nah
Sticky wet snow slowed you down a lot, that looked so damn painful… hope you’re doing alright homie.
You’re supposed to use different waxes depending on the temperature…
@@stevezeeTeesnowboard boots keep your feet attached to the board.
Heyman, this reply does not apply at all to what he said
@heyman8820 that isn't even correct. LoL bindings keep your boots connected to your board.

ouuuuch
Lol this is a custom jump built for pros. You've never hit anything close to this
@@tykeboy16😂 no need to state the obvious
That's some sticky snow that's why
Wym?
@@trashedandbashed3871😢o late in the day. Soft.
never waxed his board once
Shit place to build a jump that big as well
That little adjustment slowed him enough.
haha crazy jump
That style jump makes the air time look better than it is
He clearly dosnt know how to land either
Landing on flat grounds hurts so bad. It starts at you ankles and feels like from there on up everything bone shatters!
I’ve felt it in my nuts coming up short slapping the deck on jumps. You’re 100% right. Still much better than overshooting any day of the week though.
@IAnonymous3 Bro I felt it in my nuts too! It hurt so bad lol
Hope he is ok, because i see the snow is kinda melted and maybe took some of the "impact force" 😑
That take off was not good. Ouch. Hope he's ok
He’s ok
"Lets make the biggest jump ever at the bottom of this green"
When the lip is taller then the actual mountain 😂
hahaha not ideal
Anyone else realize how slow he was going before he hit the lip? 😂
Amazing work Ryan
Hahaha only filmed this one
Oh hahaha😂❤
That must have hurt
Yeah, absolutely no reason to laugh. He is out with the wrong people.
As rough as that is, I'd rather case a landing than overshoot it.

i think going faster as opposed to slower is less chance of injury. speaking from personal experience anyway
Man i’m biting my lip 🫦 I remember my first jump wasn’t even that big but it hurt so bad cant imagine the pain hope he’s ok 👌🏻
The only part of the mountain I ever worry about😮💨
That didn't look fast in the first part... then I saw the jump and was like that's DEFINITELY not fast enough 🤣
I was thinking the same thing.
My knees felt that😂
Gravity is man's best friend.
More wax! And more tuck!
I don't think there's a worse feeling in the world than being that dude
That jump in person was so psycho to watch. The photos don’t do it justice.
That made my ACLs hurt just watching it
big oof

Two fractured heels coming right up .
That shit hurts so bad
He rolled down the windows with fear face, better call hot dog Hans for some pointers
Those ooooo sounds 😂
Oh yeah Seven Springs!

What is that giant ass kicker mound? The down must be ridiculous.. ouch
The fluoro wax ban is a bummer...
Its nice to see Im not the only one that does this haha overshoot>undershoot as scary as it is
Sitting here with a fractured heel watching that 🤢🥴
Same 😂
Before I even saw the jump i was thinking "going kinda slow tbh" then i saw it and ..😮
Everyone worried in comments, sure he’s fine.
He was all set
I’m confused the yellow 7 tally logo is Seven Springs resort in Western PA, but this is definitely not Seven Springs lol. Can anyone explain?
リップ見えた瞬間、絶対スピード足りないと思ったらやっぱりそうだった😂
You can literally hear his speed getting killed just starting that ramp with that awful snow.
Oh, that's brutal
Dude was going so freakin slow once he hit the incline. Shoulda known
Slow down because of his stance right before the send, snow/wax combo too though.
sticky spring snow
I certainly couldn’t hit that jump, but maybe more pop and bringing the legs up longer?
That's a nice hit
too little speed
Yeah uh they need to fill in a good 20 ft of snow in front of the jump 😂😂
That long ass take off took all his speed. Probably hit that twice as fast for a middle landing
Sweatshirt slowed him down.
4-6 heartbeats
woah
They should’ve built a steeper drop in. Sheesh
He looks like he was slowing down the whole way leading up to the jump
That was a bad form - he wasn’t even going into an arc
He practically stopped at the top of ramp
And that’s how I lost my knee the first time
Those were painful second thoughts…
That's how I broke my leg and never rode again after .. knuckle sandwich
Yeah and the guys chuckling at that landing…
Snow looked a tub bit sticky there rip knees
This reminds me of those problem runs at the Olympics where so many pros get hurt, they have to change the course. Lol. Just made wrong
bad engineering haha
Feel it in my knees😢
big knuckle
I have a question 🙋♂️, how do people manage to stay that flat to go that fast? Like are they just standing flat footed, no heel or toe??
The footing before the lip is flat af hope they put a huge roller before it or something
😮 decent speed here 😂
Oooooof that's gotta hurt
That’s gotta hurt
what’s with the 7 springs logo?
that’s what im wondering! it’s my home mountain but im guessing they had the park crew from the springs build that monster kicker and the boys just wanted to rep
He probably broke his leg there
That ramp sent him up not out. I dont know if there was enough speed to be had
Posible tabla mal encerada o sin encerar, no?

HOW MUCH SPEED DO YOU NEED !
More😂
Makes me wince every time
Wax! Warm weather.
sticky snow haha
That looked off balance and tentative from the run up to the pain
Bad jump design?
Plus slow snow
Damn that hurts
You r ok ? hurts a bit in my ankles and knee, if i watch this 😮😮😂
Flappy bro
I love it
hahaha
Definitely needs to lose that parachute of a jacket. Basically needs a speed skater suit.
At least he slid down a hill to Cushin his fall
Jesus christ in heaven I don’t think anyone can hit that unless you had a mild-strong wind down the jump
need the rocket boosters

Brave to even attempt when it's that slow
Speed are good it’s more how they drop the land
This was at Crystal, next to chair 6. I was there in person the run up was nuts
Gotta get a coat one or two sizes down, things way too big, catches a ton of drag
A back flip would've got him there 😅
Im not a fan of how it dips / levels out before the incline. I'm sure it's engineered correctly. It just looks off to me from this perspective.
snow was so slow
Sweatshirt slowed him down
sticky snow
Break out the wax!
He didn’t even check speed
No helmet either, he’s trying to shorten his snowboarding career
Ouch.
I did that once and bruised the bottom of both of my feet so I couldn't walk.
No helmet too.. smart
not the case!
Needs 1 more Red Bull
