Love these ladies! Grew up Saturday night bath, getting ready for church tomorrow and the Lawrence Welk show before bed. I sang my way up the stairs! I am so grateful to have the chance to see them again! Those were truly happy days!
Today May 2024.....and l so remember these sisters.....on the Lawrence Welk show. I was so very young then and l enjoyed them to the fullest as l did the entire case. They are unforgettable and beautiful voices....and beautiful dresses and hairdos. Those were the good ole days for sure.....
The Way We Were.....is the most touching song ever. The lyrics is really true life.......we all have a "way we were" somewhere in time to remember......❤️
I watched Lawrence Welk (and Hee Haw also; it was a tradition to air both shows back to back for years.) The three things as a kid I will always remember: the accordion player, Bobby Burgess (just after leaving the original Mickey Mouse Club) and his dancing; and The Lennon Sisters, who individually were incredibly both very beautiful and gifted as singers and whose abilities to harmonize and sing the same note(s) together were mesmerizing/hypnotic. Time and I both froze when they sang together. Great memories…
Janet is so cute! They all are but she’s my favorite
All such beautiful woman, very talented👍🏻🎶
Oh how I loved the Lennon sisters
Many years of watching you Saturday night with my grandmother. So many wonderful memories. I identified with Janet, being close to her age and similar in appearance. I even had the Lennon Sisters paper dolls. Thanks for sharing with my family!
Watching the Lennon Sisters perform just makes me feel good. Such beautiful, talented, sweet ladies. No one ever forced me to watch Lawrence Welk. I love the show and wanted to be a Welk performer. Unfortunately, I have no talent
Hello how are you doing today 😊😊
I was so jealous of these girls, still love Lawrence Welk
@@tamlarse where are you from?
Wow! Nice to see these ladies! Always loved to watch Lawrence Welk Show mostly to hear The Lennon Sisters sing!
I watched the Lennon Sisters all on my own….no one made me. I remember my Lennon Sisters paper dolls. I loved them as a little girl and now as an “older” girl. ❤
American icons😘 Thank you for so many years of lovely music. My favorite, May you Always.
I love The Lennon Sisters! Since I was a little girl, I have loved to sing. I love them. My sisters and I would sing everywhere we went. My dad and I watched Lawrence Welk every week.
Hello how are you doing today
I always loved how grounded they were, this comes from parents who were grounded in who they were. Thank you for sharing the memories. So glad to hear them again.❤😊
Ladies, we had this huge 9-inch black and white television. Often, the picture was snowy! We loved it. What memories!
I remember you from 55 and its great to see you now. [ will be 69 and remember you in 55 and l never forget you. If you see this please. Let know
the sparseness of comments here underscores poignancy for those who really remember, are grateful and also were changed by the shattering of innocence which I also remember; God bless you and the people who made it possible for me to appreciate you in real time
I used to watch them all the time.Loved them ,beautiful ladies😊
I watched them on the Lawerence Welk show every week and I even had paper dolls of them.
Hello how are you doing today
You were beautiful then and remain the same in our memories, in our hearts. Thank you for your dedication to making us happy.
Family speaks what they are now and achieved.. i live to hear tbeir voices who melted together to produce a great and remarkable voices... GOD be with you always Lenon Family... from Davao City Philippines...
Hello how are you doing today
Beautiful ladies, and yes watched you with my grandma. 💕
I never heard them sing but sometime in the mid-60s a box of books and games were given to my family. In one of the boxes was a Janet Lennon novel and from there I would somehow find other Janet Lennon books in different places. So it’s quite needn’t to actually hear them sing!
A Song For You written by Leon Russell. A great classic tune too!
Voices that always make the heart happy. Be happy too.
Charming video❤
Yep, my parents made us watch you. I'm so glad they did. Everytime a date would pick me up for a date, the Lawrence Welk Show was on. I want to bring my kids to Branson to see you. Keep up the great work, lovely Lennon Sisters! Ps....I am #5 of 7 kids and love coming from a big family.
Absolutely loved this video. I learned a lot about my favorite group. Thanks!
To dream the impossible dream. 😊
LOVE, LOVE, ALWAYS LOVED THEM
Just wonderful
Não as conhecia ! Que lindas!
This is nice, no political speeches and other crap, just wholesome entertainment.
I played with Lennon Sisters paper dolls when I was a kid.
They are very pretty and talented. Lip sync but are classy women and wholesome. Nice to see in this scary world.
👏🙂
♡♡♡♡
Whereis the 4th one ?
Like the Lawrence Welk Show, Lennon Sisters🥰😊🎹🌊🎼🍿🧈♀️🌐🌎🌹🚭🖖🛡️🖼️🌞☕🫶✨⭐🌠💫🌌
What happened to the forth Lennon?
There were actually 12 children but they lost a baby girl when she was a year old, after being hit by a car.
Weren’t there 4?
Hi my name Tony Davis I am your cousin
No
Coalgirl100 tf u mean no
They lip sync a lot.
Not quite.
Just thinking they’d look much better with tats, ripped up raggedy Ann jeans, piercings, blue/pink hair, black nails and a bull ring in their nose.😂🤣🤣
I watch a lot of old video’s and movies just to see ladies dressed like…..well, ladies. Can’t beat ‘40’s designs for women’s clothes.
Sorry, but I was married to a man of 9 kids.. Catholic kids way back.. too many kids..ok I guess if you can afford them, but usually the older ones took care of the younger.. I don’t think that was fair… another thing was if you can afford them, maybe ok, but if not..enough w the out of date hand me downs… he was embarrassed his entire life! Yes, I watched them too on Lawrence Welk show… but these huge families weren’t always the best they portrayed… it’s a freaking litter of kids! I knew a lot of these families & they have skeletons just like the rest of us… can tell the truth here..l 😮😮😮
I agree with you, and especially after reading their book. Their parents could NOT afford the number of kids they had, and that is why their father pushed them and kept them in the business...for the money. They said flat out that they paid for, by performing, a room to be added on to the house, so that they could have a freakin bedroom, and their father bragged about it. They also absolutely were parents to the younger children also. They seem to adore their father but he was clearly a controlling taskmaster in every aspect of their lives, including pushing them to perform at every opportunity. Janet was just 8 or 9 years old! Extremely similar to the Osmonds' father, and the Cowsills' father and the Jacksons' father were monsters.
@@su-rv2uq I'm glad they were pushed into showbusiness or we wouldn't have such Beautiful Music, The Lennon Sisters and the Osmonds are spectacular entertainers, we dont have much of that these days
I disagree. Children are always a blessing. There is no perfect family, and they obviously still love performing and always have a brother or sister to call and socialize with, share ups and downs with. There is nothing wrong with children helping out the entire family. Teamwork, generosity and developing one’s talents are all wonderful things to learn starting at a young age.
So shallow.
what a boring show....and the dialogue is embarrassing, with very little auditence reaction.
