So...those 671 Tritanium should go up to 1376 with 5/5/5 in Scrap Metal Processing and not 2239.

@@danieltan7344 Yeah it's weird how it doesn't automatically fill in the highest buy order sometimes and defaults to 1 isk, even though there are good buy orders. But manually putting in the right amount works like you said, use it myself too at times.

You're not mentioning the cost of reprocessing, so your total cost is what you pay for the item and the cost to reprocess, then you sell for whatever cost. subtract the total cost from the sell and that is what a 5 isk profit if you are lucky.

I've built the spreadsheet and I've got good skills BUT there is ALWAYS somebody who outbids my orders up to margin levels ridiculously small (equivalent to 1% or even negative values for me). How do you avoid this? I try to diversify my orders to minimize the risk but they all get outbit. What do you do when someone outbids your order to avoid loosing the brokers fee? Thanks!
Love the guide. Also love the idea of a chill politics chat channel. I would listen to that all day! A nice thing about the technique you are describing is that it can work well at other ITCs. You can actually buy modules for an even better price if you pick carefully based on what the regional anomolies drop. So for example you could buy up tech 5-7 Amarr modules in Amarr, or caldari modules in Onnamon

3 month , playerbase already down almost 70% after first month. Game is heavily timed based(tech leveling) which is hard for new player to catch up with older player.
Don't listen to snu, this game is about specialization. Sure people might have a three month head start but if you skill into the ship you want to fly you'll do just fine after a month

I guess I don't see how this works. I ran the numbers and buying Mk7 Rapid launchers for 119K even with maxed skills would be a loss after taxes and fees. Buy orders are currently 123k at JIta. with 58% reprocessing you gross 119k before taxes and broker. Maybe my math is wrong? WIth 58% processing figured in: Trit 7,406.60 Pyer 1,795 Mex 613.64 ISO 108.46 Nocx 30.16 that's 119K market value
and mine... I must confess I have not much use for them and my scrap metal skills are really low so if someone can make an isk reprocessing them, then that's all good.

To sell for profit its best for raw ore. But if you WANT the ship. Its much cheaper if you have the skill to get the mats for a ship and make it yourself. Save millions
@@judgemanny9316 Dunno about that. The whole premise here is that you’re paying less for the modules than you can sell the reprocessed minerals for. So by definition, reprocessing from those modules and making the ships would be cheaper than buying the minerals to make the ship... no?
If you have the time and the characters with the right skills and tech level then yes. But each alt costs a billion or so isk to get started, for Omega bundle, the skill chips and such and the big margins are at new tech levels for ship builders, like the upcoming tech level 8. A new alt won't cut it. So you would have to reskill your main to be a builder and then skill up new alts to reprocess, which is even more isk. And then there is the time required, you have to figure out the best ships to build, how much they sell at, you have to gather PI (which is far more time consuming then minerals) and your proportions from reprocessing don't match the proportions needed to build ships.
buying and selling... sometimes you can pick up a decent set of named modules from jita and re-list them.. you have to be aware of broker and market fees so you need to make at least 30%. For an example someone was selling 6x centi-small pulse lasers for 6mil each, I bought and resold for 11mil..
The strength of the excel sheet is that once the price for those few minerals updates it updates the worth of every single module in the game, shows when you break even based on your buy order amount, what your margin is, how much you earn by selling by contract versus selling on the market, with all fees included. That is what mine does anyway.

I read (back in beta though so maybe it got changed) that the max you could get was 61.50%. Which would mean it was additive 30+15+9+7.50 = 61.50%. Unless the base rate was changed from 30%. Sorry dude lolol trying to get same numbers you got in the video, as I've been working on an alt for a couple of weeks to setup something similar and had all the sums as additive. When I saw your video and you had 58.8% I was like... huh, I don't have that, I've fucked up somewhere XD

5-20% profit margin i would say, its a very competetive market. So if he buys stuff with 100 mil, je ends up with 105-120mil, its not an instant ISK market and you can get lucky if there is no buy orders at all, if there is its going to be a bidding war. Ive been scrapping for about a month or 2 myself.
It depends on how active you are. The more active you are the smaller amounts your buy orders can be, which will mean lower broker fees when other players outbid you. I have made over a billion isk a day doing it, but that is the peak I have had. Right now, it's only a few hundred million a day.

Sell now sells stuff for buy orders that are usually very under the market value.. hardly worth the savings on broker fees..

get a destroyer/frigate and try to catch inqui 1-4 anomalies to do

The strength of the excel sheet is that once the price for those few minerals updates it updates the worth of every single module in the game, shows when you break even based on your buy order amount, what your margin is, how much you earn by selling by contract versus selling on the market, with all fees included. That is what mine does anyway.

@@Excoundrel Wait if it's multiplicative wouldn't you then have 70.2%? 30*1.5*1.3*1.2 = 70.2% for 5/5/4. With 5/5/5 = 73.125%. I read (back in beta though so maybe it got changed) that the max you could get was 61.50%. Which would mean it was additive 30+15+9+7.50 = 61.50%. Unless the base rate was changed from 30%. Sorry dude lolol trying to get same numbers you got in the video, as I've been working on an alt for a couple of weeks to setup something similar and had all the sums as additive. @@Excoundrel Cool thanks dude. I checked ore reprocessing with a corp mate, who has 5/4/0. Assuming those work the same, he's getting 52.50% on those skills, which would make the math additive.
Yes it's 60% at 5/5/4. Base is 30%, so if you have 5/5/4, you have 30 + (30 * 0.5) + (30 * 0.3) + (30 * 0.20) = 60% efficiency.

5-20% profit margin i would say, its a very competetive market.
So if he buys stuff with 100 mil, je ends up with 105-120mil, its not an instant ISK market and you can get lucky if there is no buy orders at all, if there is its going to be a bidding war.

It depends on how active you are. The more active you are the smaller amounts your buy orders can be, which will mean lower broker fees when other players outbid you. I have made over a billion isk a day doing it, but that is the peak I have had. Right now, it's only a few hundred million a day.

Buy orders for large weapons are quite bad though, you can get way more contracting them to a salvager directly.

Went from 30% profits on this to now 8% since the video came out as people are literally over cutting and going from a buy order price of 130k to 150k. Instead of small amounts.
A lot of people are also losing money on this now as they dont even make spreadsheets and are just buying. So I think in a week this may even out... but still poor form.
I'm still making fine profits just have to look for the right modules. Sorry I ruined your money making by helping other players get better.
In eve online you make like 2-3% on this shit. We just had it easy in echoes because no one knew about it but this game shouldn't be for elite players only. My channel is about helping everyone enjoy the game not just helping "Aaron fletcher" make his 30% profit margins.
