Nice video! Great editing and music choices. The drive from Kamloops to Salmon Arm is one of my favourites, the Shushwap area is so pretty.

I am so glad to read this. Thanks for the kind comment. It really is a spectacular drive. We cannot wait to do this drive as well as others. Where have you taken your Ioniq5?

Hello! Been wanting to take this trip for a long time, so I'm looking forward to seeing how you got on with the Tesla. Obviously you have the best onboard EV route planner, so that's going to help you! I've had my Ioniq 5 just 6 months but wasn't able to do any road tripping this summer. Soon, I hope!
I still have more to watch, but wanted to pop in and say that the "tunnel" at 8:55 is actually the Great Bear Snow Shed. That part of the mountain is prone to avalanches so they built basically a cover for the road so any avalanche will just slide on over it.

Thank you so much for your kind words and comments. I hope you get to do this drive in your Ioniq5 soon, I'm curious to know that the journey is like for other EV's.

i am taking the trip this week to Edminton.. wondering do i need any speical adapters etc for this trip or just rely on Tesla Maps and its own charge stations.

Hello Fahad, my advice would be to check the road conditions before and during your trip so you can track any road closures due to forest fires. On our trip we only used Tesla Superchargers and it worked flawlessly with our SR+. We didn't have to use any other charging networks, and we charged more than we needed to incase we were delayed anywhere. I haven't done the drive to Edmonton, so I am not sure what that path looks like.
Have you used abetterrouteplanner.com ? This will help you see the stops in advance of your trip and help you plan it out.
      I hope that helps.

Will do similar trip in mid August (Vancouver>Banff>HooDoosTrail/Bandlands>DinosaurProvinicalPark), so thanks for preview. And, recently outside Abbotsford, I had an 18-wheeler deliver a rock to my 3-week-old Tesla breaking the windshield, so your fears are well founded.

Thanks for your comment, Sean. So sad to hear about your rock chip. While we didn't get any from our trip, I got two chips in the last three weeks, one that's become a foot-long crack, the other has remained a small chip. So we are going on our 2nd windshield in over a year.
You are going to have a fantastic trip, it was an amazing drive.
