Taking Action on Addiction - Don't Let Addiction Steal Their Dreams

This is the official campaign video for Taking Action on Addiction - a large-scale, multi-partner, public-facing campaign.
It aims to reframe existing perceptions of addiction and build awareness of the causes and nature of addiction that improves understanding, reduces prejudice and enables more people to ask for and receive help. It calls for addiction to be treated as a serious mental health condition, and for increased access to treatment, support and care so that recovery can be possible for everyone.
This film was screened for the first time at the Taking Action On Addiction campaign launch at an event in London on October 19th 2021, hosted by Ant and Dec who introduced a keynote speech from Her Royal Highness The Duchess Of Cambridge.
Addiction is never anybody's childhood dream
but it can happen to anyone, from all walks of life.
It cannot be treated by ignoring it or hiding it away.
Recovery is possible. Addiction doesn’t have to be the end of the story.
We can all Take Action on Addiction and stop it stealing any more childhood dreams.
