Dude, your dark souls 3 asmr video just got showcased by pc gamer, I found it on the dark souls 3 page in my library. The Title: A look at the Thriving dark souls ASMR scene. Congrats I suppose :>
sir, how much do i have to pay you to make a full video of inaudible whispers/sounds like those we get at 2:39:30? because please, i would single handedly make it your most listened to video
The only thing I didn't like in the Remake was how they removed all of Wander's facial expressions and animations of him looking over his shoulder during battle. Also some effects in the flying colossi. Other than that, it's really a masterpiece. Thanks for the video, very relaxing.
I don't even like ASMR, I just hate let's players that yell whenever possible or tip guides that say "this guy is actually easy once you fight him 50 times like I have." ( I miss SSOfhnk :( )
2:33:15 I have been noticing the same thing, weird isn't it? Though when playing the ps2 version it's the same. I think it's pobably rng or some change in my mindset when fighting phalanx because just a few days ago i managed to beat him in one go and was pretty surprised, seeing how it went so badly the last few times. Very good and relaxing Video, keep up the amazing work.
There's too much whispering. I love your Dark Souls ASMR videos since they're narrated in soft spoken rather than whispered voice. Bloodborne is unfortunately also too whispery, though the content and commentary is a ok. I would suggest just raising the gain/volume of the microphone while speaking in a low tone (watch out for the clipping levels) instead of whispering and if you're feeling experimental maybe lower the pitch a bit. Because Barry White sure didn't get famous for the lyrical craftsmanship of his songs. Other than that this was a top notch choice. You've done pretty much just boss battle commentaries so this game that features just boss battles fits like a glove. I look forward to more! Maybe a "Demon's Souls"? Or maybe something totally left-field like keeping the ASMR tone while playing "Katamari Damacy". I have difficulties not giggling like a school girl every 10 seconds while I play that one. So it might be a challenge.
The whole ASMR thing is still in its infancy and will be fine tuned in the future. But there are still some trends worth looking into. For instance the male creators of ASMR content usually have a baritone or/and soft spoken voice. Like Phoenician Sailor, my favourite one. While female ASMR creators almost exclusively whisper. Then there are some who don't role-play or have a script but just produce "tingly" sounds from various sources. Throughout my life I've had the hair raising tingly feeling from speech of both men and women, so I wouldn't necessarily say it's a gender issue. However, they happened as I was close to the person and they were teachers and explained more in depth something I had trouble with as we went through the text book. So when speaking strictly about a speech based ASMR, I've found out that personally, in terms of quality men have the upper hand in the soft spoken department, while women in the whispering department. But then, it's very hard to have a original "voice" when you're whispering. I'm not really a consumer of ASMR except for a few channels, but I would have a hard time in a blind test differentiating between female ASMR content creators. Maybe it's also that most of them are in their early 20s white American (or European speaking American English). Then again, in real life maybe I wouldn't get a tingle from a male ASMR creator but get it from a whispering female one. A variable could be good sound engineering and mixing. If you're going to continue doing this series -- and there are lots of gaming ASMRs, who just present game art books and such, which I don't find interesting -- and want to get better, I'd suggest instead of buying expensive binaural mics to google guides on voice recording and mixing. Depending on your OS -- if you're on Mac, Garageband is free and more than satisfactory, while if on Windows or Linux there should be some free DAWs, otherwise the classic Audacity is free for all three platforms -- there are free or commercial plugins such as equalizers and compressors and you can use them according to the guides to better suit your needs. A good start would be googling "audiobook voice recording guide". And from there you can experiment with the DAW and plugins to get a great ASMR sound to your already great gameplay and script.
Stefan B. Yeah asmr has been around for so long, its crazy how recently its been popping up. Now huge celebrities are doing even. Even wiz khalifa did asmr!
HardCoreGaming HvP It's a matter of time until it'll reach peak saturation. But it'll probably take a bit longer to fade than fidget spinners and Pokemon GO.
Stefan B. Honestly i don't see it ever fading too be honest. People will always be stressed, and want relaxation, and asmr gives us that at our fingertips.
I think this is the 40th time I've fully listened to this lmfao I love it

Didn’t scream, “HOLY FUCK ITS A GIANT MONSTER”. When he saw the first Colossus, 0/10
