Do you not think the the static would be edited out unless it had a purpose? Did your heart beat faster? Did you have a startle reflex? Do you think you listened to all that crap out of Eric's pie hole, or did you listen, against your volition, to what the static said?
Fascinating talk, especially from the engineering perspective. This does not delve deeply into how to propose a problem for solution using QC, but the challenges of building a practical machine are well described. I have to agree with another commenter that there are some blasts of noise in the soundtrack that nearly sent me over backward in my desk chair. I'm sorry I didn't note the times. The subtitling is pretty good and you can pause when he puts up his graphics so that you can read both, thereby allowing one to listen on mute.
Thanks for hosting this lecture GoogleTechTalks by Eric Ladizinsky: Evolving Scalable Quantum Computers. Mr. Eric Ladizinsky is the Co-founder and Chief Scientist of D-Wave Systems who visited Google LA to give this talk on March 5, 2014.
It would be nice if the bursts of static were edited out of the audio.
Just hit the first one, and it really made me jump.

Why do you even care to play his lecture?
@@annieladysmith that’s what I was thinking . It’s like a psycho electro weapon
did anyone notice Eric do some weird quantum shift at 55:38
this day and age humanity needs thease difficult problems solved once
and for..
.. all .. for good!God bless!!
The wave function of the guy asking questions at 1:10:10 seems to be collapsing.
Was that Peter thiel asking the question

Google in 2014 talking about quantum computing....480p.

You really fucked up the audio
thanks for uploading this
I dunno, but that little flash of him X's 2 @55:38 is ironically freakin weird.
This is really mind blow.
Thanks for this!
I would like to know if i am allowed to share this video?
This was in 2014, where has the technology evolved in 2017?
I would say that they have made big time progress and sometimes we can almost see it. Just my opinion. #mandelaeffect
I think at 16:35 you can hear someone's mind being blown.
thanks.
Why would I spend Sunday afternoon watching an hour long talk on quantum computing? Because #science!
i cant wait when i get quantum computer in my cellphone (PCphone by that time?)
Google has working quantum computers and selfdriving cars, but they haven't yet mastered the arcane science of audio mixing.
+lolongo Agree it is long process to implement such thing. it takes time for testing etc,
16:30 rip ears
#Google hires the best programmers on the planet but yet cannot fucking remove the ears killing noise from their recording.
+Petr Peller Scared the shit out of me.
unless it was other worldly.. why would that happen right then.. weird as fuck 55:38
It’s not by accidentally apparently
30:30 quantum fluctuation
Great stuff .... I now understand quantum mechanics .... NOT, but getting there ; - ).
electrons/photons cant be identical having different charges
Define other uses, Google. What other uses could there be for this.
+IPWNUNinjaQuick are u kidding? there could be countless applications
March in L.A every body in shirts except the guy with a new jacket, from New York then is it
I want a quantum DAC for my HiFi made by D-Wave 😉
