In this video i show off my work in progress confederate army. These miniatures are from the Perry miniatures plastic range from the confederate infantry box set. Hope you enjoy!
Longstreet had a Corps, not a Division, at Gettysburg. The Divisions under him at Gettysburg were Hood, Pickett, and McClaws and an artillery reserve division.
Kepi's were not actually as widely used as miniature painters think. The forager cap is what they get confused with them a lot, which is similar in appearance, but not the same hat. Kepi's were more commonly used by officers.
Perry plastics are wonderful. Great faces and perfect rifled - muskets.
I agree they are great! I really like their metals aswell

You’re right! I had only dipped my toes into the American civil war at the time of making this video :)
@@KingMATTtheSuperior you weren't entirely incorrect. At one point Longstreet WAS a division commander, just not a Gettysburg :)
thanks :)

WELL DONE BUDDY

Yeah I confused the Kepi with the forage cap for ages! Like you said it’s very similar to the kepi.
@@KingMATTtheSuperior I've sometimes seen it referred to as a Forage Kepi, though they're of two different designs.
