Erm do you know new year is over 3 weeks away, get creating🤣🤣🤣I’ve got a cheek like, the amount of uploads I’ve done lately 🤣, great video mal, I love how you’re learning so much in such a short time yet look like you’ve been doing it for years, glad you’ve found a hobby that you love and is keeping you entertained 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼your doing amazing 👌🏼😘
I should of be more clear, heather I was meaning to those who subbed to see the results, it won't be until the new year. sorry it was correct in my head at the time I uploaded lol
Very very interesting Mal! Dont those baby bristlenose plecos look super cute!!! Love the professor segments 😊. Look forward to seeing the results mate. Oh btw congratulations on reaching 600 subs!!! You over took me like the bullet train would have if i was in a steam engine 😂😂😂😂. Merry Christmas to you and your family and have a happy new year 😊
I’m going to do exact water changes of equal proportion Not so much for nitrate but to lower the hormones in the water Don’t want the growth stunted Sorry for got merry Christmas buddy to you Saffie and the kids and hopefully my dream comes true about you know what 🤫
Finally someone noticed that and the fact I used water with nitrate in it to not loose it through starvation in a nitrate free start Cheers for watching Gil buddy
Great Video Mal, I’m interested to see how this turns out. And I seen it in the comments already but this will hopefully not be that last video till next year 😁👍
I unsuscribed in protest because I'm not waiting until next year for another video😡, but i don't want to miss the results so i subscribed again. I just wanted you to know i had unsubscribed in protest 😂
Bahaha... You sick animal ...going to have nightmares You are really doing your homework on these biorocks I need to get some more bristlenose... On no singing.... Ten little 🐸🐛yum yum Merry Christmas...
Hi. Will be interesting but the test tank only has the surfaces of the tank for bacteria. The tank with the rock has tenfold more for bacteria. I don't know how to do a fair test other than to dose a cycled rock with ammonia and test the fall off of nitrates after it has converted to nitrites
It’s only to see if it removes nitrates with anoxic bacteria Ammonia and nitrite will be covered by the sponge and the aerobic bacteria I couldn’t fairly compare a apple and a orange when it comes to surface area This is the only way I can see to accurately record nitrate only I think
@@aquariumdelirium I look forward with interest to the results. I think this has more chance of hosting the relevant bacteria as not moving unlike a canister filter where airated water is forced through under pressure
I’d love to think it will work Russell, but I’ve got a feeling the deep substrate and undergravel filter played a bigger part in the 7 months review finding, and like you said the plants growing in and taking more nitrates in But fingers crossed because it’s not cheap and would a extra water change would do the same reduction 👍
@@aquariumdelirium to be honest with you I use white BBQ brickets as these are made out of white pomice I just smash em up with a club hammer to the size I want. Wicks just as well as biohome is inert and a fraction of the price. Even the main filter media company uses white pomice but they don't say it removes nitrates. Next time you are on JTs live stream I will tell you were I get mine from. Richard always says white pomice raises the pH even said so on one of his videos but he is a salesman and what is his main goal to sell his stuff lol. Them in the know use white pomice. I might just do a video on it and post biohome verses white pomice wick test no difference ha ha
Great upload, Dr. Delirium. Or should I say, professor Mal xx
Cheers Iain
No problem, brother. Brilliant upload, by the way. You're getting too good at this..

Hope so it’ll help you loads comfort zones pushed 👍👍👍
But in a good way 👍👍👍
Interesting Professor Mal. Having the Biorock already seeded (possibly) with denitrifying bacteria, one would expect to see a result fairly quickly.
Finally someone noticed that and the fact I used water with nitrate in it to not loose it through starvation in a nitrate free start

Nice one love the tap conector where you pick it up from as looks the same kitchen tap as mine
Home bargains lol
I’ve dinted the tap with it and I’m scared to take it off until I get a new one 😂
