I love love love everything!!! But that's no surprise, I knew I would! I can't tell you how inspiring this video was, but also the fact that you have done things over time! It took my husband and I 5 years to redo our kitchen, and we are still working on things. So when I see what you do, it not only motivates and inspires me (because your taste is incredible!!), but makes me feel like I'm not alone when it comes to doing things over time in my home! Aw thank you Stephanie! I'm glad you found it helpful! Yeah, I totally think doing things little by little helps... I know if I would have done ALL THE THINGS right away when we moved in, for one, it would have looked totally different because I really had time to think through it and get what I really wanted, but mostly, I got to do it exactly like I wanted and focus on each part separately. Would have been a little shocking (financially) to do SO much at once like all the bathrooms and a big kitchen reno. It's less shocking little by little... haha

Looks so beautiful! I love the tile in the shower!! What oils have you been diffusing?? I use to use oils a long time ago and just never really got all the hype... But about 3 months ago I started using young living oils and I am obsessed! So I am so curious what others peoples favorites are!
I like lavender in our bedrooms! In the kitchen I use Thieves or Palo Santo (that's my fav!)

I’m in love with Olivia’s bathroom! We’re thinking of doing a similar shower with the glass. The only reservation I have with it is if it’ll be hard to give little ones a bath with the glass part not being movable. Have you had issues with that?
When they installed it, I got in there and marked exactly the point where it would cover the most, but still be easy to access. Olivia is a little bigger now, so it's not as big of an issue, BUT if you have babies, I'd skip the fixed glass for sure. You want to be able to have easy access! But it has been really nice!

Olivia's bathroom 😍 Everything looks great. I love the grid paneling in the foyer. I agree with you, I'd rather have a big open foyer it makes a huge difference. Do you pick out everything yourself or does the contractor help with design? Love these videos, thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Thats an awesome question! A little bit of both! He can literally do EVERYTHING. Design, everything. But I'm pretty "set" with my style and how I want things to look, so I usually pick the colors (paint, etc), and give him the overall idea. He really worked his magic in olivia's bathroom! I explained some little things, but he came up with everything in there. He brought me all the tile samples and hardware and I ultimately chose those, but he pulled it together and dreamed it up.
For the foyer, that was my idea and I showed him inspiration pics. Then he got creative and made it perfect, making sure it was perfectly lined up and symmetrical and that everything made sense.
The island was my idea- I gave him the pics of exactly how I wanted it to look, picked the counters, and it was really important to me for the counter to have that shape and look a little different.
During the process, while I had them here (haha), I came up with the mirrored cabinets to cover the little "junk station". lol I showed him a pic of how I wanted the cabinet doors to look with the mirrors and they custom built them for me.
So it's really a little bit of both!!

You're so right. But I never feel that I have to justify anything to anyone. What I share is exactly what I want to share. It's just that I have a UA-cam channel where I DO have an audience that asks A LOT of questions. So after doing this for almost 10 years, I kind of see what's coming and try to answer (or explain) as much as I can as I talk about anything going on that I think people may be interested in. And omg a 1922 home! I dream of an older or historic home one day with tons of character. Nothing like that! xo

Hi Tiffany ! Thank you for sharing with us your update home decor.. I need your wise advice please.. My husband and I are thinking for quite some time now about buying our first home we have a family ( 2children, 15mth & 5yr) the thing is I am torn about if we need to buy a « brand » new house like nothing needs to be done about it and we pay a consequent amount for it or if we go for a house cheaper but things need to be renovated.. as a 1st time buyer what would you recommend us to do what would be the wisest decision to make.. I really don’t know towards which plan to go... please I need your help and advice Tiffany ! Thank you so much if you decide to reply xx 😘
Oh man that's so tough... I really hate to give advice like that to someone because I can honestly see the benefit in both. But personally if it were me, I'd buy a house that may be a little older (not tooooo old), that functions well but may not have all the pretty finishes you'd like. So you don't feel like you NEED to update things right away. Live in it for a while before doing anythign huge and really think about stuff. Then you have time to save for each project. That's what happened with our house. We liked the lot and the neighborhood and it had a big kitchen, basement, etc... But everything didn't look like I wanted. So initially we saved a ton of money vs buying new. Then we fixed it up over time.
Compared to buying a new house that is new, but still may have very plain basic bathrooms and kitchen that kind of fools you bc it's new... you know? It still may not be exactly what you want, but then, it's hard to justify redo-ing anything bc it's new and you already spent so much. So it just depends! Congrats on buying your first home! That is such an exciting time!!

they're all gross. Just kidding, (kind of). When I vacuum, I'll occasionally hit the return vents (those get extra furry), but because we have allergies, we get our ducts professionally cleaned every few years and always change our filters in our actual units every few months. That makes the biggest difference!
