Anyone who thinks De Gea is bad doesn’t know football and goalkeeping. Remember, the main job of a goalkeeper is preventing shots from hitting the net. While he had an average footwork, it wasn’t the worst either, and he also did make some assists from goal kick. As a shot-stopper, he is undoubtedly one of the best of our generation.
The main job of being a parent is to feed your kids, so they won’t die from hunger. Everything else doesn’t matter. You can teach him to do drugs at 3 years old.

De Gea is inagurably the best when it comes to reflexes and saves. Given how bad the defenders were, he still managed to keep us at high ranks (even came second one) in the Premier League and won trophies. Now with him gone, 10 matches the club conceded 18 goals. A clear impact.
You can't tell me put any other world class goal keeper in Man Utd as De Gea was and say that they could do just as good as him. Put him in Madrid, Man City etc etc and he would've won so many trophies. Best Keeper without alot of acolades.

De gea has played with average CB at united ever since Vidic reitred . Only since season he was paired with Varane and Martinez which are a great pair united has had for a long time . Don't understand why a lot of you are not analyistcal in football sense. I heard a city fan comparing Halaand to Ruud Van Nisteltooy I was shocked . Modern football fans are very shallow to football technique and they all care about is numbers . SMH !!
