I did the same when I lived in Chiang Mai. It broke my heart to see all those cats and dogs suffering.

Y'all are life savers. I'm a cat lover and I have 15 cats at home I know it's crazy but all of them were abandoned and no one tried to save it. I'm soo happy there are kind people still out there . Support from me and all my 15 cats

Yo ahora vengo alimentando a diario (desayuno y cena) a una gata y a sus cuatro crías, de 3 meses de edad, además de a una colonia de cuatro gatos hermanos de unos 9 meses, y a todos ellos desde el momento de su destete. Todos viven en completa libertad en mi urbanización en el campo, junto a la montaña, si bien sólo a mí me permiten acercarme sin huir. Les doy pienso remojado en leche caliente, a lo que añado algunas albóndigas de carne en salsa con verduras. Hay algunos gatos más que vienen a la puerta de mi casa cuando se hace de noche para que les ponga su cena. En mi pueblo de 2.500 habitantes somos 8 vecinos, cada uno con sus propias colonias, los que les supervisamos y alimentamos. En Septiembre el Ayuntamiento costeará la esterilizaión de hasta unos 35 de ellos para contener algo su multiplicación.
I love this! Because I have 7 and I also foster and try to find them good homes, but no one wants a cat with FIV and hyperactive kittens. I get shamed for owning 7 cats because of the negative stigma that cats have. My cats are healthy, they see the vet way too often, but when i think there is something wrong. Bam! I was right!

This is heartbreaking. I volunteer for a rescue group as well and we have to feed these colonies every day, and get the friendlies adopted. It is so much work. I commend you wholeheartedly.

Hank, yes they do neuter, people who care for colonies make it their mission to stop the breeding within them and some even go as far as trying to domesticate the ferals to be adopted. It’s beautiful work indeed.

I wish there were more people like this in the world. I'm only 15 but when I grow older I wanna save stray cats and dogs on the streets cause there are no stray animals where i live

There should be some kind of a world wide organization to educate everyone on what to do about the problem of stray animals roaming all over. Cats are wonderful, and so are dogs. But too many of them are just dumped by humans who are no longer able to care for their pets.
@@_squigglylines_ I got five cats who used to be feral. Got them all fixed and turned them into fur babies. They still are a bit wild and not very keen on being picked up. But at least they are not outside in the bitter cold making more kittens.
I do save and I feed happy street cats and anybody can save stray cats like I'm 10 and I do that and you could adopt some cats and kittens irl or on reuse website

@@sydthesquid1527 from the surrounding trees in the park and the hedgehog in the wild I would guess it is somewhere in the UK. They are over run with cats and dogs and have very strict rules in place for breeding even high thoroughbreds

This is very sad, they are obviously domesticated cats that have been dumped to fend for themselves.
That is not necessarily the case. Feral cats innately fearing humans is a myth, they just grow up anxious around humans because they do not have regular interactions with humans. If feral cats grow up being fed by humans, they will respond positively, and these cats are probably a few generations into their colony at that park. People probably feed them semi-regularly, so they associate humans with a positive experience. Large feral cat colonies who receive regular feedings are often like this.
I've got a barn near my house.
The amount of times I've had someone pull up, drop a cat off, then take off is staggering.
One time I even woke up and heard meowing coming from outside, looked out and there was a shivering kitten curled up on my porch crying. It was the middle of winter.
Adopted the thing and took care of it, but people just disgust me.
Sometimes you just can’t pay for another cat and don’t wanna kill it, I know it’s hard to make that decision because I have a lot of cats myself and I have thought of it :(
Pro Copter abandoning them often times means they die of starvation or disease which is a slow and painful death. Better to surrender to a shelter

I am an 80 year old widower and I have my cat for company. I've always loved cats and to see all the little chaps being fed has brought tears to my eyes. God bless those ladies.

I came to watch these people helping kitties and didn't expect to see a hedgehog amongst the group! He just a big spiky kitty to the cats i guess :)
When I lived in England we were told not to put out dry cat or dog food as it would attract hedgehogs who love it, but it's not good for them.
@@dragonlady3852 Depends on the cat food actually! hedgehogs can eat a 30 %protein 10 % crude fat cat food and they will be fine! I have a pet one myself and it what i feed her.
@@VampireRuki That's just what we were told when my family lived on an Airforce base in England. No one was allowed to leave out bowls of dry cat or dog food because they said it attracted hedgehogs and foxes and that the dry food was unhealthy for the wildlife. I never said that they were right. Personally I agree with you that cat food can be healthy for other animals. Did you know that high quality wet cat food is a good thing to feed young blue tongue skinks? And when they're adults high quality grain free wet dog food is great as a part of their diet.
@@dragonlady3852 I never knew that :) Skinks are a type of lizard or salamander right? the only thing we have where i live is tree lizards, black skanks? i think that what they are called and these peach colored lizards. all are pretty cool to watch though.
@@VampireRuki Blue tongue skinks are lizards. They come from Australia and are quite popular in the pet trade at the moment. As they are omnivores they don't require live insects which many people prefer. I have a blue tongue named Smauge and a leopard gecko named Diogenes or Dodgy for short. I also have a cat called Andromeda several fish and a venus flytrap named Aubrey 2.
This reminds me of a book I read as a kid. There were a whole lot of cats and an old couple that took care of them. Very kind of you to care for them all. 🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈
There is know better feeling in the world then to be able to help rescue some innocent lost kittens who really need help and need lots of love and tenderness and kindness. @@muznahashmi9450 ask help from a shelter or voluntary workers to get you connected to people and can tell you what to consider when choosing the forever home for your cats. Facebook groups could also be a good place to start. Make sure the people there are actual animal lovers and care what happens to the cats. and post with a price because it'll make people think twice of getting a cat when it's not "just free".
Are you cabable of spaying and neutering your cats? You can ask help for that from local animal workers, they might donate your cats a free surgery etc.

How is this sad? Its like humans forget that cats were once wild animals! Cats unlike dogs go back to their primitive ways when abandoned by humans. These cats are fine, they can feed themselves and will take whatever humans give them. How would you like it if someone came to your neighborhood and started spaying you because they were afraid their might be to many of you? Dog are different because they don't normally go back to their primitive ways but not cats, cats are fine in the wild, where they belong. Also I have seen when feral cats trust humans too much and humans come and steel their babies to put them up for adoption. The mother cat cried for a week looking for her kittens. Now that is Fucking heartless!!! People for get these cats have feelings! I was furious that they did that they didn't even try to take the feral cats just stole her babies and it was an SPCA worker in Petaluma California.

I agree. At first, i only have 1 cat. I noticed that she seems secluded from us and always mad. But when i decided to have another cat, her attitude greatly changed. She becomes more playful and love cuddles.

Glad that tabby got adopted and i hope the other b&w guy also gets adopted soon. And thanks for dealing with the situation well. Giving those hungry furry buddies food and water was the most amazing gesture. I feel some rescues spays neutering have to be done in there. And they need more food and water for sure.

I wish they wouldn't have separated the two kittens. Cats hunt alone but they still need each other's company. Cats are not anti-social. Always adopt two kittens together!
Littermate syndrome is an issue though and can cause major issues down the road
@@pucamisc afaik this issue is more prevalent in dogs, not so much cats. I adopted 3 kittens together because I didn't want them to be separated, and it's actually a lot easier for me because they play with each other and I don't feel bad if I'm busy or don't have time to play with them, they keep each other entertained. They also separate from one another when they want their alone time, and I haven't seen them actually fight one another yet. I used to have a single cat and always felt bad because I knew I didn't have as much time to play with her as she would have liked. So far my 3 seem a lot more active and happier to have each other.
KittehFaye I guess it depends. I had two kittens that we got from the same litter After one died of liver failure around 2 the other died a few days later mysteriously

I was walking my dog a couple of weeks ago and when we passed this house that has a bunch of cats which are not taken care of I saw a black lump in the driveway across the st. It was a kitten and it was alive...barely. I ran home got my car rushed back and got her. I didn't have time to "ask permission" and in my eyes they weren't deserving enough to try and tell me what to do with that baby. I rushed her to the emergency vet where they told me she was so anemic bc of fleas and had flies on her bc she had tapeworm so terribly they were coming out of her behind. She had some type of virus and would need a blood transfusion. They told me to run the test it would be $1500 and treatment would be $2000. They told me she was extremely unstable and weren't sure if shed pull through. I had to make the decision to put her down which I hope to never have to do again. I just couldn't afford the treatment and she was suffering. One of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. They allowed me to come inside and hold her while it happened and I just kept telling her she's loved and that my cat and doggies in heaven will take good care of her. My bf and I took her home and burried her under a tree in our yard. I named her Aura, after the Greek goddess of a gentle breeze. I know her little spirit lives on. Rip my little Aura 🖤

@ApplePie i started fighting through tears typing that yesterday. I'm sorry I left out she had a virus and also they said shed need a blood transfusion bc she had so little blood. I edited my original comment. But yes that particular emergency vet is literally double every other in town. The office visit alone is 135$. And the only other hospitals are available 24hrs to patients they already have not new ones. The euthanasia was $140. I went there hoping her treatment would be close to 300 bc I'd rather put that toward helping her fight. I just didn't have $3000 and I didn't think shed make it through the night to wait for another vet the next day. In the end they waived the office visit fee but I literally couldn't even spit out my cc # when I knew what it was I was paying to have happen. It was awful and that feeling stayed with me for days. I probably seemed crazy to everyone there for how upset I was but idc I loved that little cat the second a saw her.

I had a dream like that once, where a talking dog named Oscar had brought all the cats in the world because they wanted to talk to me, when I saw them all I freaked out and ran away, then thought that was rather rude, and went back..this scene in the park looks exactly like the dream...on a more serious note, my daughters and I hand raised 3 kittens who had been dumped at the shopping centre where my daughter worked. They were barely 2 weeks old, so a lot of work, but they are 18 months old now and thriving. This is really heartbreaking to see. Poor pussy cats. 💔
This makes me so sad to see so many cats without a home
They are wild animals
But maybe they are living happily together
