Just a note on Etrade. It's transitioning to Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC. I had until next week to move my accounts and moved (no fees) to Vanguard. That's why I sought out this video. 😊 Very helpful!
Another great video Jennifer, thank you! I was using my Fidelity acct for Agency Bond research & then purchasing in my Vanguard IRA, but I learned how to search Vanguard easier now after your video.
Do you have any idea of how often/likely it is that these agency bonds might be called? Most have very short periods until the call date. Given that we're likely near the top of the rate hiking, and many are predicting that rates might start falling next year, it seems likely that a lot of these bonds will be called as the issuers seek the refinance at lower rates.
One question: do you have a tool to monitor all your assets (from different brokers) in one place? I mean, let say you have multiple callable cd's or bonds, you have to keep an eye on them, right? Or is it just check your email? (I'm guessing you'll get flooded with thousands). Thanks!
Wow great question!! After this video I was thinking of going on my vanguard and buying them and the first thing I thought was I need some way to make sure I’m not missing things either as they come due or what if something happens and my beneficiaries need to know where my $ is…. Hopefully not any time soon but if there is a tool she can recommend that would be awesome! Thanks for asking
All the brokerages have to make money some way. Schwab does it partly by keeping your funds in low interest bank accounts unless you move it. Not sure what Fidelity’s practices are, as I have not used them. In defense of Vanguard, their funds have some of the lowest expense ratios around.
Question regarding the call feature of agency bonds. If they are called, can they call just a portion of the outstanding, or does it have to be the entire issuance? Thanks
I want to thank you because I have learned quite a bit about fixed income through your videos and have purchased Treasury bills through Fidelity recently. I am curious about the software that you use to record and edit your videos as a fellow UA-camr I'm quite impressed with how professional your videos are. #Bluecloudtrading

Agency bonds on E*Trade (step by step)
Just a note on Etrade. It's transitioning to Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC. I had until next week to move my accounts and moved (no fees) to Vanguard. That's why I sought out this video. 😊 Very helpful!
Thank you, please include Etrade in all of your suggestions.

Congrat! On all the new subscribers. Well deserved!
I'm on ETtade. Thank you for your guidance on the agency bond journey! 💖
Yes, I’d like to know about Etrade
Thank you so much for the free financial education.😊
Yes on E*trade please.
Interesting, thank you! I never thought about agency bonds. In my opinion there is really no credit risk.
Good info as always, thanks.
I don't like paying ANY commissions on bond purchases either, Jennifer! 😊
Would you consider making a video on the tax implications of buying an agency bond above and below par? Vanguard only issues secondary agency bonds.

Well done! 6.24% might look pretty good if we go into a deflationary spiral and stocks head lower.
I’m with Etrade, but I have an interest in this if you come out with an E*TRADE tutorial

I have etrade, please discuss how to buy MMFS via etrade.
What happens when the bond matures or is called? Is the money then automatically transfered to your settlement fund?
Yes do etrade agency bond.
Thank you for letting me know how Vanguard is ripping me off. I transferred all the money I could to Fidelity.

Did you want to purchase a bond that matures in 2038?
is there a problem with that?
I think Agency will call back far before 2038.
@@gregh7457 only a problem if for whatever reason interest rates go up instead of down in the future; no guarantee of agency call back.
E*trade please

I understand that Fidelity does not charge fees for secondary bonds. Is my understanding correct? Thanks.
