I think the headsmens made a bad play right at the start of the first round. Your leader took 2 damage. You didnt have to attack with him so soon. He would not die to the leaders attack( if he was im wrong here) but you could have waited at least another round to see if the gorechoseb leader would attack the wielder of the blade. You made him to vulnarable right at the start.
After rewatching the game several times in the editing I wholeheartily agree. All I can say is that it's much easier from the sidelines. In game, when you see a good opportunity to score obj (and in this instance) get two condemn counters early it can be hard to keep your head cool and play the waiting game =)
Not only that, but the positioning also wasn't very good. Against aggro warbands like Magore's or in this case, Dromm's, who likes to stay at the middle of the board, you place the ghosts as far back as possible, especially the Wielder because he can't be revived without a universal card, then spend round 1 giving condemned counters and wetting the blade as Dromm tries to come closer to you with his 3 hex move. Then on round 2 you go ham as you don't need to charge the wielder, just push him a few hexes
All true thinhgs. Would probably deployed more in this fashion were it my second tango with these lads. But I also had a couple of move forward end phases so that probably influenced my setup. Thanks for chiming in! =)
This format is excellent! Really well put together. Thanks 😊
Thank you!
