Hard work Rick! Great tip about the acid to use on copper pipe! I use phosphoric acid on engine parts to clean rust ... works pretty good. I only had the dig for a little bit yesterday in Florida heat finding the septic tank lid for the pumper truck to come today.
I do so much digging in the heat, I should have had a heart attack already! My left toe was hurting me so I was thinking I had gout, turns out it was a piece from a wire brush stuck in my toe. I recently had to fix a septic tank that collapsed from being driven over.
PVC is a horrible water line pipe as it leaches toxins. Polyethelene is a better choice. The glue used for PVC contains forever chemicals but polyethylene is mechanically fitted.

Good thing about Miami not frostline soldering was my life in the past and braising have a great night!
Yes! Even when we get freezing weather the ground is always hot!
Wouldn't PVC be less expensive and corrode less? 😮

i use "K" copper for underground. just unroll it. it flexes easier too. but........ its all in the flux
Yes that's what it was originally. Someone put it in a sleeve but water got in and corroded it at the low spot.
