Quel document incroyable!

Fast and accurate, listen to some of the other recordings to appreciate her marvelous talent and obvious love of the guitar. Was she the best? Who or what was or is the best? There must be hundreds of the "best" living and passed on. I like Ben Woods playing in his favorite niche.
I'm renaming it " Flight of the Wasp ", kid sister of Flight of the Bumblebee ". All kidding aside, this performance is, without a shadow of a doubt, THEE greatest ever ! !! ! ! ! ! ! . Bar none !! Her control of voices had me fixed in a trance, in ecstasy during the whole 'story' !!...... Here's something astonishingly related to it: May as well deem Presti as being even quicker than presto or prestissimo! !!
Toll. Da könnten sich machne junge zeitgenösssiche Top Gitarristen einiges abschauen.
Stéphane Nogrette, third below, says it all. I'm quite drained from eulogizing Ms. Presti beneath her other videos. Although there have been and are so many great players, Ida Presti's playing is preternatural, to be compared with few other musicians, some of the great pianists and violinists: Glenn Gould, Jacqueline DuPré, and Ravi Shankar played in Ms. Presti's strata. Whoops, there I go again! I won't even apologize . . . LMAO!
For some musicians it doesn't seem fast because of their temperament and mastery of their technique. If she were alive and able to comment on the speed she would say that the speed was appropriate for the music. Pianist play it just as fast. ua-cam.com/video/-P8BQVhOv5A/v-deo.html
The mediocre recording quality cannot dim the sound of a huge technical facility (Yamashita and other super-virtuosi would be hard pushed to match it) and, above all, great musicianship. Is the recording on a 78 r.p.m. disc from her youth, or a later recording on a 'domestic' tape recorder?
I'm a huge Yamashita fan and both Presti and Yamashita are able to play the Bach pieces marked presto or presstisimo without breaking a sweat but I would have to give Presti the edge in interpretive skills.
Muchas gracias.
She was undoubtedly the world's greatest female guitarist.
This is true virtuosity. Every mood in the piece is perfectly represented. She was a genius.
Inarrivabile virtuosa e lo dico da chitarrista.Memorabile interpretazione!
She will always be the Queen of classical guitar.

Hell, that's fast! Whilst preserving a beautiful sound. Wish she was still with us.
This is amazing. Fastest Asturias I have heard yet.
Sublime! Merci Christian pour ce document rare!
Immortelle Ida Presti

Nobody, yes, nobody could play this piece better, including Segovia. Her tremolo is out of this world. How can anyone come close.
in this piece though there is no tremelo
Yes there is.

SUPER!!!!!!!! BRAVO!!!!!!!!!

utterly amazing!
Best version imo
So fast and so clean!!! Two minutes faster? Ish. Yet, it just works.

Crazy thing is many of her recordings were done when she was 15 years old.

Damn she was good ...I play the same version ..... from my old teacher Prof Adele Kramer ..:)
Ida Presto presto la tiempo magnifica presti presto wie Staubsauger rückwärts
Eccezionale!!
Prestidigitation!
Wow.
She's 'smokin'!

Probably the fastest version I know of this piece. And speed adds nothing to it, on the contrary.

too fast :( but sound is exceptional Ida + Bouchet...
Bouchet? Lo dudo. Más probable Julián Gomez Ramirez.
Too fast for you maybe - but fast enough for me, you see.

She completely screwed up Asturias, what a crap.
Congratulations on posting up here the most foolish comment ever !
Here comes Minotatauro di Chieti to critisize a talented artist's performance 56 years after her death! What a delicacy!
