Great video! Thanks! Its a funny thing, Ive had hydraulic clutch KTM dirtbikes since the first year they had Magura hydraulic actuation. Never one problem, rarely if ever even bled a system. Trouble free and worked great. Now I have a 690, and it seems like ever since the 690 had hydraulic clutch actuation, they have had this same problem and I guess still do? I have a 2021 690 and everything works great, but I dont want to lose use of the clutch lever out on a ride in BFE. The parts look the same as the dirtbikes had externally, but they had an O-ring inside from the factory, not a seal.
Hi. The sitting size is 2mm in width. Why did you use 2.5 oring? I found it to big using 2.3mm oring. But the piston diameter is 24. Did you use 22mm oring to stretch into size? Is it better using 24x2?
@@masterverkstan ok. Got it. I’ve just put mine oring on it’s place. Will try fitting it in cylinder soon. Do you fill any unusual force when moving the piston with new oring? Does it move easily ? thanks
@@masterverkstan i have a 2014 so mine must be the old one that needs to be updated. Mine dont have a spring or the outside rubber seal. I heard a pop and clutvh havent been disengaged since i can start it in neutral but soon as i put it in gear it stalls out
I am having the same issue but I am hoping I just need to change the fluids as its not engaging all the time. If it is the o ring, do I have to change the oil? I just changed it 800km ago.
Hey brother im having a oil leak coming out of my slave cylinder area i known its engine oil not brake fluid what could cause that ? Push rod seal ? Bad slave gasket ? Please let me know man im stumped
Hello, Quick question. Can you do this procedure without changing the engine oil? As in, is the clutch push rod sealed or if I take off the clutch slave cylinder casing, will the engine oil come out too? Thanks.
Hey, quick question! Would this work with a 16 smcr? I have absolutely zero idea if it does but i noticed theres no fluid in my master cylinder. Anyways, since this is 2years old, how is it holding up? Better than OEM? 😂
The mirrors are “bar end” mirrors. Often use on caferacers or custom bikes. No problem to mount on the handlebar. Video here: ua-cam.com/video/lphl2X8-pHc/v-deo.html
Riktigt go hoj för övrigt :)
Hi, have you had any issues after fixing it? I ordered o-ring from KTM but it's just too thin, nothing like the original. The size you're using looks much better.

Great tutorial!! Good view angles, everything explained clear and to the point.
The music, epic choice. Thank you
Wow, actually a good choice for music for once, love it.

No problem on ’21. They have the ”updated” slave
90 have always had hydraulic since 2007
My engine light and oil light turned on. What could it be? Same time my master cylinder was leaking
Hi. The sitting size is 2mm in width. Why did you use 2.5 oring? I found it to big using 2.3mm oring. But the piston diameter is 24. Did you use 22mm oring to stretch into size? Is it better using 24x2?
Yes, I use a 22 x 2.5 epdm oring on the original “failure” slave piston. This is only for the -19 to 21 Ktm 690 bikes, and 18-21 701 hsq
@@masterverkstan ok. Got it. I’ve just put mine oring on it’s place. Will try fitting it in cylinder soon. Do you fill any unusual force when moving the piston with new oring? Does it move easily ? thanks
My slave cylinder dont have the rubber seal on the front side just the rubber seal on the diameter how could mine be missing?
The slave cylinder is on recall. Don’t know how the “new” one looks inside. So you’re slave maybe is the updated one. year model?

The 14 have a different problem. Google it. This is just for the newer 690 I think
@@masterverkstan could that pop i heard been the slave cylinder ball push valve going out? What else could it be?
So all that fluid goes into the transmission or the motor block?
Yep

Absolutely best to change oil! Brake fluid mixed whit engine oil is not so good lubricant 😂
Does the ktm suffer from oil starvation while in a wheelie, do you know where the oil pump is located?
Keep the oillevel at high and there is no problem :)
@@masterverkstan you mean top point of the oillevel glas?
Yes@@leau7732
@@masterverkstan You are awfully patient with some of these questions.
Hey brother im having a oil leak coming out of my slave cylinder area i known its engine oil not brake fluid what could cause that ? Push rod seal ? Bad slave gasket ? Please let me know man im stumped
Slave gasket. Look behind the front sprocket, it may come from the gland
What’s the outside diameter of the o-ring ? About to order mine to fix it
22X2.5 mm. Epdm rubber
Can this problem cause a new slipping clucth?
Nope. This problem is that you don’t can clutch at all.
the ring size 22x2.5, is it the same size for DUKE 690 2013?
Don’t think so 🤨
Hello, Quick question. Can you do this procedure without changing the engine oil? As in, is the clutch push rod sealed or if I take off the clutch slave cylinder casing, will the engine oil come out too? Thanks.
Yes you can do this without oil change IF the seal not is damaged. With a damage piston seal, there is brake fluid mixt with the engine oil!

In sweden/europé the manual says 10w60 as first choice, and 10w50 is secondary.
