Good job. This was a very underrated movie that showed that poverty knows no race, gender or ethnic group. Excellent performances by all of the main actors. Just an all-around good movie.
Me and my mother used to go and pick scraps of coal of an old slag tip. A neighbour showed my mother what to pick. We were very hard up my mother struggled for years before things got better. We lived in the Rhondda valley south Wales. Happy but hard times makes you appreciate things when you get them.😁❤ this is a good movie.
I blame SEA HUNT for all the swim masks, snorkles and swim fins that our parents bought for us. And even though they were crap, those cheapo snorkels taught us how to bite, use our lips, form a seal and swim for hours. Of course, I blame SKY KING for making me learn to fly and buy a Cessna 310 (eventually). It's still one of the coolest planes around, whatever airport i land. I DO get tired of explaining the mask. "I'm not a bad guy. I'm not a robber. I just wear a mask..."
Grew up poor in West Ireland. The Govt set up an aforestation organisation to buy up farms around here 30 years ago and bought up every small farm that came up for sale. Now that Govt Subsidiary is doing deals with Wind Farms and getting a fortune from the land. So the small farms would have been viable with just one wind turbine (which the Govt depts knew would be coming), but they wanted the people gone and the land put beyond use, except for themselves.
We call that eminent domain here in America, and it's essentially a legal way for the gov to steal your land. Your only hope is a high dollar, powerful lawyer..
This was an incredible movie. We make any visitors to our house watch it if they are staying overnight. I lived in Texas for a decade or so, it was really filmed well.
Great scene in an AWESOME movie!!! _Hell or High Water_ is terribly underrated!!! I bought the DVD, and watch it at least once a month! It's one of the best things to come out of Hollywood in the past decade!!!!! Heck, I'm hopping off to watch it again now! 😁
I was scrolling to see if I was the only nerd to notice that 😂 is not quite that valuable, but at least worth what they stole, probably more even in rough shape. They were dirt cheap then. A lot changes in a few years!
They needed guaranteed fast money in hand! And had a clear cut mission with very limited time.. Also that one robbery was unPlanned so they had to do what the had to do... and did it
Before the 20 second mark of this video. I was searching for this movie. 1:39:00 later I'm back. It was a very good movie. The cinematography was excellent. I found my self really apart of the film.
I’ve watched this movie several times and it’s excellent in every way it’s realistic and gritty , true to life I recommend it to anyone who likes heist movies or just something different 😊
I’m from this area and know all these towns. It is an absolutely dump. The people there have such a bad poverty mentality that they think making $1 above minimum wage is good money. One place in town had a fence made of mattresses around their yard
That's some Redneck genius thinking right there! When the mattress rots, you're left with a spring fence. And a dollar over minimum wage aint bad if you get good benefits 😂👍
This was an awesome, poignant movie which hit hard. It also had a great cast and acting and some nice twists on a fairly done to death storyline which made it fresher than it should have been. Even though Bridges basically played the same character from RIPD and True Grit, he gets a pass because he does it so well. Ben Foster had some of the best scenes, I especially liked the Comanche showdown in the Casino. "Don't chase me Chief".....
We have some of those where I live! On a bad day, that's what you get! On a good day, they're kind as Angels. Just don't rile them! They don't care if they die, and they just might take you with them!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Complicated but highly improbable plot in this movie. Background is poverty. Two sets of characters. One brothers set and second two arguing cops. Casinos and banks are settings. Exhausting plot. Barrysaid
They say hard work don't hurt you I had multiple strokes heart and brain hard work made the company rich me alright living with the state get a good 401k plan retirement plan something I wish I had
Sooo can I gut a bank robber with a gun to face of does it depend on angles of his face running while shooting...Just asking as I like in NYC...Where we give up our life savings then try and hire million dollar lawyers to litigate for decades
I love how Americans born in this country complain about being poor, yet people still come to this country with nothing, work hard, and achieve the American dream. I grew up poor, worked hard and achieved success. Life is what you make of it.
This movie sucked. I didn’t like it. Just my opinion. Too emotional. Like a 15 year old kid trying really hard to be cool by wearing sunglasses at night smoking a cigarette. Just my opinion.
Good job. This was a very underrated movie that showed that poverty knows no race, gender or ethnic group. Excellent performances by all of the main actors. Just an all-around good movie.
Definitely one of the better movies in recent times without any woke stuff.
@@Billy-bc8pkwhy coz there weren’t any black folks in the movie?
"Being poor is like a disease..." had that disease all my life, back when I was 6 years old working in the fields from sunup to sunset.
Strange! The character must have forgotten to cash in his white privilege cheque.
@@christopherfleming7505 I tried that, they said my check bounced and to get my poor ass back to work XD!
Found the racist snowflakes
Exactly, if I wanted money, I worked in the cotton and bean fields back in the sixties as child.
yes, but lots people do and have to live with some pain, it's better and wright to live with own pain then with pain of others caused to them

Probably more realistic than most stories Hollywood puts out there these days.
Uh, it's been comic book franchises for the last two decades, so yeah.
Underrated movie. Now all good movies with a story are class B rated. What a petty.
A fantastic movie all round. The actors, script, story, everything works perfectly. One of my favourites.
Good to see Jeff Bridges in this movie, used to watch his dad in Sea Hunt back long time ago.
I literally just started watching that series. I think it's pretty neat. It's a shame we can't have good shows like that any more.

The father was comical in “ Airplane “ movies 🍿🤣

Disgusting! Typical career politicians!

Brilliant run down, very enjoyable. Thank you.
Thank you kindly!
this is one of the best movies to come out in a long time.
If you have not watched this film , I would insist that you see it , You will not be disappointed . Acting / Dialogue/ Script, Brilliant .
The music for this film is by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis! In other words, absolutely incredible soundtrack
They burried a 50,000$ car for 7,000$ 😭

Also, maybe just get jobs
Thanks for this recap. I saw the movie a while ago and liked everything about it. I appreciated your recap.
My pleasure!
I always loved this movie. Modern day outlaws, doing the wrong things for the right reason
Maybe they could get modern day jobs and pay their modern day bills? 😂
This is a great movie that I return to often. If you haven’t seen the whole thing, you should. It’s excellent.
This was a criminally under-rated movie. Same goes for "Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang."
I love this movie, I saw it in the theater with my father back in 16.excellent acting by all concerned! A great film!
Thats an excellent movie, great story and awesome actors, very well done!
At last a film that I have seen! A great write up on video on it thank you.

I still get a kick out of the waitress asking them what they don't want. Wouldn't want to tick her off.

Good grief just watch the movie! You don't need some idiot to narrate a movie you can watch for yourself! Amazing!

Good film, poverty, gun crime & racism are social issues, pay attention
