I know that they've grown up, but you can genuinely see how happy they were in interviews like this, especially comparing it to their last interview on The View a few days ago. It was horrible.
If it wasn't true than they would let it affect them. They would simply ignore them or say in the public (not on twitter) that it's fake instead of "people GENERALLY think we are in a relationship"

I love how Harry walks off and "sleeps" and then comes back after like 2-3 mins. It was so adorable,he literally just lied down in the bed and look as though he was gonna go to sleep, it looks so adorable!
this is actually a really good interview. the boys are completely relaxed and honest and straight up being themselves. yeah it's less than 5 minutes long but it's a lot better than some other interviews that are 10 minutes of them being asked stupid shit.
