I had samurai Leonardo in the playmates line back in the day. So this is hitting, all the nostalgia buttons for me. About the whole racist controversy over RVD. Ppl just want to complain and cry racism in everything. When RVD was wearing the rising sun on his singlet, he was paying tribute to Japan. RVD has wrestled in Japan. That's the problem with these snowflakes. You can't pay tribute or respect for a culture, without them labeling you racist. For all those ppl I got two words for them. But not the two you're thinking of.
Awesome unboxing and review! The Samurai Leonardo figure looks incredible. Super 7 really nailed the details on this one, especially the armor and weapons. Can't wait to add this to my TMNT collection. Thanks for the thorough review and sharing your thoughts!
Good-looking figure! The Super7 Ultimates figures usually look very good. I’ve mentioned before how I could do without all of the extra accessories, though. Christ, you need a huge Zip-Lock bag just to hold all of them! 😂 ~Damon
Is he as loose as we've all heard? I want to grab this guy but if his hips are waay loose then idk. Also, how did you switch out the hands and the head?
i have this figure. legs are super loose where they attach to the shell. i tried to fix with kiki and it's still loose. i think it is their turtle design as i have the same issue with standard turtles. also to the poster below asking about neck pegs. my 2nd head would not fit. i had a similar issue with the glow turtle having a second head that won't fit. i had to sand the inside of the head and use sticky tack to get it to work. so the neck joint could easily snap if you try to force heads that don't fit.
so, the rising sun flag is NOT a symbol of racism. It is the flag of the Japanese navy. Misinterpretation got it tagged as a symbol of racism. It is not the flag of the Third Reich, that is a symbol of racism and genocide. Peace and history for all.

No loose hips here as of unboxing. I pulled the head and hands off and replaced
