I absolutely love seb as a pundit no nonsense at all
Sebs the only one who will call it out. Even media professionals tried to make excuses for him.
He worked for Sir Mark no bull
The camera isn't blind: Doyle dropped his hands, thinking he'd won; and the stewards turned a blind eye.
since I subscribed to Racing TV I see almost daily bad riding, poor judgement, some out-and-out fiddles none of which Stewards act on so I'm glad I no longer bet as the racing is not open and fair and Stewards are clearly involved in a conspiracy of silence
Stewards have a snide bet on?
Thank you Seb for having the guts to speak on this instead of watching the rest of the "gravy train" not wanting to upset anyone an burying their heads in the sand.
Well done, Seb, for calling it out. It's a shame the people in power don't have the guts to do so.
You have a former champion jockey telling you that hes stopped riding and youve got a presenter whos probably never ridden a horse in his life making excuses for him. That presenter is ridiculous
He's a complete knob
You are assuming the presenter actually believes the views that he is offering up, as opposed to playing Devil's advocate in order to have that line of argument debunked.
Plain simple cocky twat thinks he's going to win a cheeky neck but got caught out thinks he's something shame godolphin dnt think it cos w buick is no 1
Doyle should have the decency to say I made A mistake but comes out with crap
@@seanscanlon9067..It’s ok playing Devils advocate to a point, but he pushes it to far & sounds ridiculous. Let’s just be honest & say it as it is.
Disgrace. Didnt ride out to the finish, thought he’d had it won so dropped his hands. Tries to put the blame on the horse but it’s his fault. He wouldn’t be riding a horse in a group 1 like that.
Agree, hard enough to pick a winner,I'd be pissed off if that was my horse
As a former jockey I utterly dismiss his excuse that he thought he was about to part company with his mount. That is a lame excuse from a rider of James Doyles experience
Seb 100% correct as it is jockey error plain and simple, when the horse started to drift left and then right before the incident he didn't stop riding then, he just switched his whip hand to straighten the horse up and continued riding whilst doing it - he thought he had done enough to win and stopped riding just before the line and the horse horse seeing the way the course goes quite sharply left has veered left as he stopped riding and that was just enough for him to lose the race.
The reason the penalty is so harsh is to ensure that jockeys ride out to the line and quite simply the Stewards have not done their job and they have set a precedent that could cause more trouble if another jockey presents the same argument when a similar incident to this happens again.
Seb Saunders not afraid to be honest unlike a few ex jockeys that work for at the races . Jason weaver was asked his opinion on it yesterday and said he never saw it lol 😅 . James Doyle didn’t intentionally lose the race but he made an error not riding the horse out simple as . James has the gift of the gab and got away with an obvious suspension .
The video is clear this has nothing to do with the gift of gab.....
Jason Weaver should not be allowed to give his opinion in the pub never mind to the public on mainstream TV
Seb is 100% right the presenter makes Derek Thompson look good and he once called a man a beautiful lady
The presenter most likely agrees but is playing Devil's advocate.
😂😂😂
Seb spot on and if you are on a horse that's unbalanced it's your job to correct that by using your whip - which Doyle does until he stops riding 30 yards from the line and the horse starts moving left after that happens.
The other presenter might be playing devils advocate but really he just comes across as somebody who shouldn't be taken seriously on anything.
He is what u call a yes man
Stewards should be stood down for believing his BS
Makes me mad how incompetent stewards are. A lot needs to change, the rules and stewards are archaic.
James Doyle rides for the boys in blue ......... Comprende
@@Marjopolo302 He doesn't any more, he left that job.
Not that it would matter even if he did, considering Frankie Dettori was suspended for dropping his hands on one of theirs in a classic and losing a place.
Seb was spot on not like some of the other presenters who like to sit on the fence for the good of racing.Seb 🤙
Bro literally compared driving a car with a wobble in the road to a horse racing at a racetrack, I can't breathe
Hollie clearly was riding out to the line, James stopped, it's as simple as that. Seb is a legend and knows his stuff unlike people like Chapman
Pat addery was one for dropping his hands too 🤣🤣
He should get 56 days for lieing..... If you must take the jockeys words as truth then there are no reason for stewards anymore.
6 years
*lying
The correct spelling is "lying", not "lieing". "Lying" is the present participle of the verb "lie", which means "to be in or put yourself into a flat position". "Lie" is an irregular verb that doesn't take an object. The past simple of "lie" is "lay".
Just saing......
Seb sanders was 1 of the most strongest jockeys i knew in the finish for him to tell you this you got beleive him
Thanks for saying how it is seb
We took starmer on trust and look whats happen the guy talking though is ass 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Well said Seb tell it as it is stewards no idea.
well done seb saying as it is,should have been suspended
Why aren't they talking about how it was ridden inside the final 3f too? He pushed at the horse on and off, took an age to go by the nearest one, then never touched the whip again after tapping it once, eased up with half a furlong to go while the other horse was right beside where James was sitting. Anyone would think the horse jinked its head at the line because he was being purposely pulled up.
Spot on Seb!
seb was honest his buddy was being a coward
If that was an apprentice then they’d be banned
Well done and we’ll said Seb. Maximum respect. Of course he stopped riding and of course he is guilty. Ask yourself this … if Ryan Moore or SDS was up would it have won? There is your answer. He cost that horse victory. Doyle is talking out of his rear end and thinks we’re all stupid.
Seb has 35 years of horse riding the presenter seems amazed at Seb's view. Doyle deserves to be banned for 28 days a FACT !!!!!
💯 he has stopped riding that horse
Agree.
Presenters lost plot.
James thought he’d done enough. Poor judgment
The presenter is playing devils advocate. He’s presenting the alternate point of view. That’s his job.
Cost me a packet
@tq6892 no he's a journalist
Seb is correct, He dropped his hands a 28 day minimum ban.
Seb was a damn good jockey. Presenter is a desk jockey and to be frank he's clueless
Should be suspended for 28 days stopped riding simple as that
well said seb, they were scared to ban doyle because of his retainer and how it would affect the big races later in the year, and matt should have grilled doyle last night instead of agreeing with every word, he was scared incase he didnt get any interviews if he criticised doyle, as buick who is doyles best friend would prob stop interviews in support of doyle, and many others if matt criticised him last night, so wee seb totally ripped him a new one and everyone online agrees with him
I can’t understand why SEB hasn’t been given grumpy Jason Weaver’s job 🤔.
Seb Sanders will boost viewing ratings, we like people not afraid to call out jockeys when they mess up !!
Weaver is well bolted in on the gravy train. Him and his fellow ITV racing mates all need clearing out. Talking to viewers like they are fools much of the time.
Because seb tells the truth and won’t be turned into a robot that is told what to say
Seb didn't mince words and called it straight. The other guy tried to defend the indefensible and sounded like a total clown because of it.
56 days for lying like that 1 m8
Finally someone on a racing channel calling this nonsense out
I've always liked Doyle and think he just made a mistake as opposed to trying to get beat. He thought he had it won. He did get very unlucky on the line to lose the head bob. However, he eased up and should have been suspended for it.. In light of his overall record, they could have given him a light one but it's not a good look for the sport to hand out long bans for one strike too many and no ban for careless riding on a short-priced favorite. The stewards need to remind themselves that, even though they're not supposed to bet, betting is the lifeblood of this sport.
He tried to be clever - got caught out. Still a ban though.
@@EssydykNo, Controlledemotion is correct, he thought he had won and was was a little more clearer of the eventual winner and that the second jockey would have also eased a little at that time, it's nothing more than a error, a bad error admittedly and deserved a 15 day banning.
Chapman, Weaver & Fitzy are very quick to criticise bad rides by foreign jocks, but dare not say a single word agaist a British jock..... All yes men.
Doyle should be banned for 28 days!
Seb Sanders is absolutely correct in his opinion, unlike Martin the presenter who is looking for excuses for Doyles riding , Doyle completely messed & in line with the rules his should of been banned for the 28 days ,far too often the horse racing tv presenters or those that summarise are in favour of the jockey they simply haven't got the courage to criticise a jockey ,all they say is that it wasn't the jockeys finest hour ....Weaver ,Harvey ,Josh ,among others are pathetic on tv ....we need the likes of Seb Sanders given far more airtime than what he is given ....well done Seb for speaking the truth
None of the presenters on ITV racing would answer the question of what was the difference between Doyle and Shepherds ride for one to be banned and the other not
Yeah fair play to Seb, for too long presenters and interviews tow the party line, that was an error of judgement from Doyle on a 5/6 fav, must be some frustrated punters out there. Presenter was playing devil's advocate but can look stupid when it obvious.
Like James Doyle as a jockey however on the occasion he is full of BS and should be suspended for a month minimum. All credit to Seb for calling it how it was we need more pundits like this not 1s that refuse to be critical towards jockeys when they screw up like Doyle just did
There's a reason why godolphin stopped using him.
@@user-jy9gi1wb5g I would still have Doyle over Buick
@@user-jy9gi1wb5g godolphin never stopped using him he moved to ride for a different owner off his own back 😂 they said they would even use him again in the future
One of the great things about this is the people who come on saying 'have you ever ridden a horse' have been put into persepctive
Firstly the guys name is Sanders not Saunders . Secondly Sanders struck a horse in France 32 times that’s why Matt Chapman makes jokes about it . Betting shop punters are thick as two planks and would run away if stood anywhere need a racehorse.
What’s that got to do with anything. People have the right to their opinions whether you like it or not. Doyle stopped riding & thought he’d done enough. That’s Seb’s view & the view of many others, but you don’t have to agree.
James stated to the stewards that he felt the horse become unbalanced and so stopped to correct that ...yet the slow motion shows James stopped riding whilst the horse was still running straight..crazy!!
I love Seb's straight talking...Legend
who's the presenter making every excuse under the sun pathetic
Strong words? You don't need to be an ex-jock to call this out. It was obvious to everyone, and that includes the media who as per usual don't say anything. I don't know if Kelly is trying to play devil's advocate, but in this case there is no other side to the story, so he just comes across as foolish. The BHA should pick this up and correct the mistake, but they won't because like jocks they are not bothered about punters. This just provides further evidence that the sport is run by a bunch of clowns.
Doyle should've had the guts to hold his hands up for his mistake, he stopped riding and got beat because of that.
Absolutely correct, but he chose to tell lies. We all make mistakes & he’s clearly made one here, so be a man, own up & take the rap.
If we'd defended as well as Martin is here we'd have won the Euros.
Even Stevie Wonder could see that he stopped riding the horse. Total BS from James Doyle and a superb a summary from Seb Sanders. Its an embarrassment that he was allowed to get away with it.
Someone tell this presenter who seb is 😂
Seb called it right, he stopped riding, stewards should be replaced and banned. I didn’t have cash on the horse, but I would have been livid with that ride
Doyle isn't the best jockey in a Fighting finish but I'm very confident that Doyle dropped his hands thinking he's crossed the line. I agree with seb.
I was absolutely gutted at what happened here , was the last leg of my 25/1 treble , but that's racing isn't it. Sometimes it's not the horse that loses for you
It shouldn't happen, though, mate. He deserves a ban. We all saw what he did.
@@mattlondon2242 oh I agree with ya, I was quite literally celebrating my bet coming In but very quickly realised what he did . I bet a lot of people lost a lot of money on that race
Sorry to hear that mate. Tough one to take.
That is gutting. It's hard enough getting winners as it is, without getting a kick in the nadgers because of the ineptness of an experienced jockey.
Love you Seb
Thank you for being brutally honest
Unlike others
Brilliant bit of analysis.
Should get at least six month suspension.
More if he has a history of bad behavior.
eggzactly, jaqmes doyle was 2 lengths out and he stood up dropped hands sat down and dragged it left! give him 1 year suspension and a 500k fine!
@@DavidC1Absolutely rubbish, he assumed that he was a little bit more in front of the eventual winner and that the second would have also eased a little believing he was beaten, honest error, and deserves nothing more than a 15 day banning.
If you look, easing off is more than likely what caused the horse to hang left. He eased off well before the horse moved (which he claimed happened first and then he eased up) nope. Again, he literally got his ass in the air and relaxed well before that horse moved.
It’s refreshing to have somebody like Seb have the guts to call it as he sees it & as it is. James Doyle thought he’d done enough to win & eased right up. He’s then told lies to the stewards about losing his balance & they fell for it saying they’d take it on trust which is almost unbelievable. It’s saved the bookies a load of money because he was a short price favourite & it’s no consolation to the owner or trainer.
I totally agree with seb sanders with what he said about james doyle 100 percent that he did stop riding the horse just before line / belfast northern ireland
It doesn't matter to most regular punters that backed James Doyle, if the horse had won they'd have spunked the winnings in the next few races
The punters agree with you Seb but they won't get there Money back when trust goes the sport suffers, he dropped his hands and got caught simple
This has been going on for years. I am not surprised that why stop putting on my lucky 15 stopped all together
If that was a young apprentice sky would have said he deserves 35 days well said seb
Its about bloody time those who are responsible for turning a blind eye in the BHA to be held responsible for disgraceful decision making like this .The whole Stewart system has been highly controversial and has remained unchanged since the sport has almost began. This happens everyday right accross the uk and ireland ,perhaps not as obvious as this ,but its probably one of the only sports that has had a shambles of a reputation regarding stewarts yet absolutely nothing has changed ,and punters will continue to be short changed unless something is done immediately.
Seb rode over 2,000 winners and would have ridden against James many times. One former jockey would be more likely to defend a current one if they truly thought he hadn't made an error. Seb believed James made an error and with all Seb's riding experience I cannot disagree with him. Seb states his view and backs up what he said.
Sebs right in defence if any James felt he'd done enough but horses are unpredictable at best
You can make the case that a suspension is warranted but at the same time believe the jocks claim that he grabbed up to avoid a possible situation.
good man Seb
I backed the winner and thought I was beat.
If a claimer done what Doyle done they would have got 28 days
Seb is the ONLY one who will say it as it is.
That presenter trying to put words that suit the script into sebs mouth, well done seb for telling the truth and calling out these lying rats
is that presenter a mate of doyles seems to be defending him everytime seb makes a point about his riding and the length of ban listen to the voice of experience
THEY ALL WORK WITH BOOKIES SHITZZZZZ
How does Callum Shepherd get an 18 day for his ride at Kempton aboard Thorntondale Max and James Doyle gets away with this ride. It's happening more and more lately, Alec V's ride at Bath was a disgrace as well. Make all jockeys ride out to the line on all mounts and it takes away the need for 'spineless' stewards.
He wouldn't call him Mr Saunders because his name is not Saunders.
Yeah ??
Comparing a car to a racehorse ??
Ridiculous !
Listen to him !
That's what you've got him on there for !
Richard Hughes done it week in week out. Got nothing.
I think he did win the race ... there are some dodgy looking photo finishes at Windsor, they need to check the finishing line because it does not look straight
Stewards makes good sense prevail over emotions, this james Doyle incident is totally different from the paul gosgrove incident and other like that. James Doyle horse suddenly became erratic, independently just as James explain it wasn't because James apply some unorthodox actions that causes the horse to lost these are animals only themselves knows what goes through their mind, James Doyle did well to stay on board and save lives and limbs or it's safety first,or else we would be having a different conversation right now.luckly for the sport many of us who are giving verdict on incidents like these aren't stewards,or else we wouldn't have any jockeys to ride our horse's.
Even Seb Knows That James Was Riding Carelessly!! Bettors Were CHEATED Out Of This Race!!
Seb called as he seen it, just like every normal punter with half decent eyesight who backed the second knows they were robbed by his error of judgment. Should have owed up to it instead of some lame excuse.
So did Harry Davies on the fourth.
Stopped riding, Doyle should have held his hands up
Shocking ride, but Callum Shepherd gets 18 days
well said seb, doyle eased up and was trying to look cool
Got rid off sky racing years ago that presenter is a clown if it was an apprentice rider he would be destroyed by this clown
The same happened today in the cycling in Spain; rider celebrated too early, and lost the win..........No action taken.
Well said Seb 100% correct
Martin trying to get Seb to change his mind and Doyle tried to look cool at the finish seen it happening several times doyle is at fault 😊
Seb is right , it’s like a car going into a skid, the last thing you want to do is put on the brakes , Doyle made a mistake and I’m sure today he feels worse than anyone about it .
Doyle's ride was worse than the King Power horse's ride imo.
Spot on Seb - 100%.
I love James riding... but he stopped on the horse.
10 days... or the 28 days - simple as that.
What am I missing. I can’t see the horse jinxing or unbalanced. Also I can’t see Doyle not trying.
Nobody is saying Doyle is not trying, but he eased the horse up & got beaten. It’s a mistake & he should have owned up & been honest, but he didn’t.
I see jockeys not ride out to the line every single day. The amount of times ive missed out on places coz a jockey gives up because he aint gonna win. They should remember people have e/w money on too.
Placepot money as well
Wow is that presenter Doyle's agent
It happens every week
Fair play Seb Sanders called it as we all saw it.Havent seen any other ex jockies so called pundits speak uptick Fitzgerald and George Baker jockey coaches I'd like to hear what ye have to say. Also no mention of it on tv today at the york festival silence is deafening. No point making TV programmes promoting racing if you can call when a mistake is made and punish appropriately.
He's trying 2 cruise thru the line but been 2 clever, doyle & the presenter r the only 2 who think James is rite, the king power was worse
James is a great rider but hold your hands up Doyler
