Excellent drumming: refreshing to see someone play drums subtly and gently, honouring the sound of this particular musical style. No need to show off, pure, classy music.
I'm a hip hop, old school R&B fan....I happened to come across this group on an Indie TV channel the other day; since then, I've been hooked. I can't get enough of this group. Her voice; their chords. They are in a garage, playing music - chill as hell, .and they are putting out greatness in such a nonchalant, unassuming fashion. I'm blown away at how good this group is - WOW!!
One day, I was listening to this in my headphones when I got back from school. I was walking up this hill and the guitar solo started to happen. I felt so good and happy and had a sudden urge to thrust my fist into the air like the ending scene of the breakfast club. I didn’t do it and I always think back to how great this moment would’ve been if I had. This is one of my greatest regrets.
Me in 2035: 'Dad, why'd you name my sister Rose?' 'Because your mother loves roses.' 'Ah, thanks dad.' 'No problem Men I Trust - Seven (garage session).'
Watching from a foreign country, preferred shape is dodecahedron based on the chill vibe low key being emitted by Men I Trust - Seven (garage session).
Brilliant performance - love the way they always look as though they just crawled out of bed to play a few chords; so pleasantly laid back; nice change from others
Based on their music videos and live show recordings I would 100% agree with you. But after seeing them live back in November I gotta say that you absolutely want that man playing that solo.
@@hugzzer8078 Sounds like an overdrive or fuzz, the wah, an electric guitar with humbuckers. But check out this little secret: you must put just an airy palm mute to give the tone a shape. I've seeing a few comments about how people want to see them live. GO SEE THEM!! They are excellent live, I assure you. One of my favorite songs by them and I was super pumped that they played it live. Emma actually played the solo portion when I watched live though, it was just a dope! Love u guys.

So glad I was able to catch them last year here in Denver. Great show, touring for a fantastic album. Stumbled on them quite by chance by listening to the local NPR jazz station late one Saturday night, and they played "Lauren" on there. So, I had to go look it up and figure out who the group was I'd just heard. Love at first listen.

This video makes me deeply nostalgic for a time that was objectively quite bad. It brings to mind this completely ineffable sense of temporary comfort, this sort of ephemeral memory of certain nights in the winter of 2020 where I was playing this over and over and over again. I wish I could be transported back there, if just for a little bit. Just to remember what exactly I am so nostalgic for.
