However, Mariah's musicality is so intact, her sheer amount of runs is hidden behind the overall phrase of the melody. In turn, she knows she's a technical beast but still chooses to never let that overshadow her words. I just love this woman.
too bad she did not cherish her God given talent and abused her vocals way too much starting from 1997 and it all went downhill. She should have stopped singing and rest when her vocals started to crack and become husky.
