Nice! I have done the bus ride to and fro from Brussels airport! The Lijn bus ride takes forever, where as train is much faster. When I have much time at disposal, I do the bus
Nice video But a few things, I think it's better off getting off at Rogier as it's a 15 minute walk to City Centre there is also the shopping mall City2 and a tram/pre metro that will get u to Centre in 4 minutes and cost about 2.50
Hi Arvind! Brussels Airport isn't really a hub for long-distance buses, so I would recommend looking at the omio app to see if there is a train or any options by bus that might suit you. You could also fans the de lijn bus to gare du nord, and then change there for a flixbus to sloterdijk. Hope that helps!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Tks for your quick reply. One more thing I would like to clear. I have got my Schengen visa of Belgium from Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC. I wll b flying from Mumbai Airport to Belgium. I have my hotel bookings in Amsterdam. I will b travelling to Amsterdam from Brussels Airport from bus or train. Will there b a problem in immigration?
Granted, the train shuttle is completely overpriced because of that damn stupid Diabolo surcharge but the "regular" (STIB/MIVB) city bus at €4.50 is well worth the expense if you travel further than Schuman or Place du Luxembourg, as the price includes a connection - actually, as many connections as you like - to any other bus, tram or metro line in Brussels within 60 minutes.
the €6.90 Diabolo fee thats in that train ticket is the real kicker for the airport train. that fee is suposed to go away by 2045 when the tunnel is to be sold back to Infrabel after paying off its cost
Come on, guy, if you're familiar with Belgium you should also be familiar with the pronunciation of Dutch (Flemish) words. "Lijn" is not pronounced like "Line". Dutch is not German! A Dutch/Flemish IJ is pronounced as in "rain" (and the same goes for EI, by the way).
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Never mind and thanks for the tips that you share. Another option with De Lijn is to take bus either 359 or 659 all the way to its terminus, Roodebeek. It's a quick ride (1/4h or so) and convenient, as Roodebeek is next to Brussels's biggest shopping centre and offers a metro station with super fast connections to the city centre.
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Yes. The option that you suggest (with actually several possible lines to the North station, I believe, not just 272) is the best if it's the downtown area you're after. Mind you, there will be more options within a couple of years, with a De Lijn tramline to Brussels North station and a STIB/MIVB tramline to... I don't where exactly but within Brussels anyway, as it's STIB/MIVB.
I don’t know why I got recommended of this video, but my advice would be, if you are traveling as an international traveler, which would be quite difficult at the moment, but anyway, 9 euro is pretty much a reasonable price for a transport from the airport to the city center which time saving and more convenient, it’s not expensive at all, just don’t be too cheap when you are traveling, if you dont even want to pay 9 euro, dont travel then, staying at home in bed the best way to save money.
I will politely disagree. We all have different budgets and I respect that some people value time or convenience, whilst others would prefer to have a bit more cash in their pocket to spend on other things than getting to or from the airport. Thanks for watching!
@@helloantoniotraveladventures Sorry I might sounded a bit harsh before, but me as Chinese, we don’t get much of free time/holidays to do a lot of traveling, especially international ones, even for me personally I’ve traveled very often internationally due to my work, I still would prefer the easiest way not the “budget saving way”. Maybe we have different concepts of “budget saving”. For instance, I saw many people in Europe buying coffee or small breakfast on the budget flights, but Chinese people would never do that since we could get the same thing much cheaper at the airport before boarding. I guess that would count as”budget saving” as well. So, different concept. In conclusion, we maybe like to save money from the “experience” instead of “time” or “convenience” when we do international travelings.
Thanks for your opinion there, really interesting how different cultures approach travel. I try to travel as often as I can, so budget saving tends to go towards extending my experience.
If you would prefer to spend 9 euros, then spend them. If there are people who prefer to pay less, let them pay less. If you do not want to travel on the budget, then, don't, and stay home. Yet if some people want/need to travel with a small budget, it is none of your business, actually.
Thank you, from Nova Scotia, CANADA. This was very helpful.
Glad to hear it!
If you are only in Belgium for a short while, you can also get a single for about 2.50€

It does take a bit of time! I find the best way these days to get to the airport is the stib bus. But that's because I now have a stib card 😂
@@helloantoniotraveladventures . Thanks. Yes, certain Stib buses have a shorter route to the city. But in Lijn bus no such option.
You're right. De lijn takes a while but good if you're short on cash at the end of the month 😂
thanks a lot. is it possible to travel from city to charleroi airport for cheap
Check out my other video about that!
interesting this video, can you make it for a trip to another destination in this city...

Nothing wrong with one euro fifty with de lijn!

Which is other bus for city Center cost around 4.5?
7 euro with STIB
Does kids are free if adults have valid ticket?
No idea I'm afraid, I never travel with kids here. I think they get a reduced price ticket
