- LMS Jubilee 45690 Leander would be the motive power for the Cumbrian Coast Express . The tour started at London Euston that ran over Shap to Carlisle with 45690 taking over the train from there and running back down the Cumbrian Coast to Carnforth .45690 moved from Carnforth to Carlisle with the support coach early doors and is seen at Oxenholme . The return sees the weather make a turn for the worst and we see 45690 at a wet Holme Island.
Ldone really so great and great video sharing friend 👌👌🌹thanks friend for sharing stay connect friend 🌹🙏
Great video despite the weather. Nice to see no diesel on the rear and thus a really authentic sound as the train passes.
Wow, your videos and channel are amazing!!
I remember and love steam locomotives and old slow trains!!!🚂🚃🚃🚃
Despite rain on the windows for half the coastal run, it was still a good day out and thank you once again Steve for sharing the views that we miss onboard
My pleasure Alan, didn’t set off early enough to get the climb out of Dalton so Holme Island was as good as it got 😂☔️☔️
Wonderful, again!
Thanks Alan, really appreciate the feedback 👍
Well filmed in adverse conditions Steve , thanks for braving the elements. Brian
Glad you enjoyed it Brian , weather forecast was right sadly 😂☔️
Nice one Stephen. A wet day for it and good to chat before. Thanks.👍
Thanks David, good to see you again albeit in horrible weather ☔️
Super video Steve, thanks for braving the rain. Well done 🤓
Glad you enjoyed Anthony, been wet before so all in a days filming 😂☔️
I was on the Lakelander that was sadly cancelled because the line was blocked north of Church Stretton.
That was a shame Robert as I was looking forward to seeing 46100 on Shap again.
Another excellent shots Steve. A rather wet day. All well worth it. Kind regards C&A
Thanks C&A, at least the rain was from the side 👍
Good footage Steve despite the murky weather at GoS. Glad you got the Jubilee's positioning move. I went up to Greenholme from seeing (you and) Scots Guardsman at Galgate to see her exhaust beneath me over an hour early as I crossed Scotchman's Bridge. Take care - Chris
Thanks Chris, only just caught it at Oxenholme and wasn’t going to bother with the return but changed my mind against my better judgment 🤔😂
Good shots Steve, horrible conditions on the coast, shame for the passengers really not being able to see the great views
Thanks Austin, wasn’t the best weather for filming or looking out of the windows as you say 😂☔️
Steve, Shame about the weather but nevertheless great captures. Regards, John
Thanks John, not the best weather as you say and oddly the Jubilee didn’t open up as I expected 🤷
You were really unlucky with the weather for the return leg. I was at Prospect and the weather started to turn as the train was passing so really lucky.
Thanks Alistair, set off late so didn’t get the climb out of Dalton but Holme Island was nearer 👍☔️☔️
Excellent footage there Steve of Leander in the rain. Was that it's last mainline run? What loco was to be on the cancelled Lakelander?
Cheers 😊It was supposed to be 46100 ☹️
Oh I see. Better if was the B1.
Well Steve certainly a bad day for videoing at Grange-over-Sands but nice 👍
Tell me about it Graham , par for the course I suppose and good to see you again albeit in crap weather 😂☔️☔️
