and nobodys saying that only boygroups can own a concept like this. What people are really hyped up about with this "oh this song was originaly for a boy group" is the fact that sadly kpop world is very sexist and you dont see a woman doing this type of songs often, even if its a girl crush concept it is still a "im dancing on high heels with pretty makep im a bad bitch" type of style and this song done by everglow in their pants with such a powerful choreo was so refreshing to see and everyone is just happy for a small step towards big changes in a kpop world

@@Luna-pp4ch im not trying to compare them per say, because dancing and music is genderless. However in most cases the choreographers and companies designate different dance styles, song styles and moves based on whether its a girl group or guy group.
We all know that female idols are equally skilled. They can kill those hardcore “boy group” style dances. In this case im happy everglow was given a chance to do that “boy group” style and of course they killed it because theyre everyglow and theyre talented. My hope is that this is the start of companies looking at dance as genderless and allowing their female artists to have more variety in the type of dancing they do for title tracks. We see female idols go hard and crazy in cover songs, original choreography and sometimes bsides so why does the title track have to sell this “girl group style” Female idols have deff been going hard in the recent years when it comes to the music side so that is changing, and its time for the dances to change up too.
TLDR companies are the ones that have created this “boy group” “girl group” type of dance despite dance being genderless. Everglow killed this, and female idols in general are highly skilled and should stop being put into the stereotypical “feminine” box when it comes to dance. Hopefully things will change, and this comeback showed steps towards that.
