    Trading with a small account? You must tune into the video to find out why you should stay away from blue-chip stocks like Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN).
    Now how can you find potential opportunities with solid risk/reward? If you have a limited amount of capital, you can focus on low-priced stocks. They’re volatile and can make exponential moves. You can capture a piece of the momentum - if you prepare.
    Focus on stocks under $10. Look for price action, hot sectors, and decent earnings.
    Gaming is a hot sector to keep an eye on throughout the holiday season and into the beginning of 2021.
    Gamestop (NYSE: GME) is just one example. Watch the video so you can see this chart. It’s got an activist investor pushing them to make moves. Plus, they’ve announced deals with Microsoft and Sony. And each time, the stock spiked.
    Pay attention to the breakouts and the big volume. The stock continues to run, it’s a former spiker, and it’s a real company. That can check a lot of boxes for a lot of smart traders.
    This is no penny stock … It has billions of dollars in sales. But sometimes stocks like this move like penny stocks. And when these lower-priced stocks make multi-day moves, you can go for a potentially longer play with a swing trade.
    That means you don’t have to burn through your day trades when you’re under the PDT. You can catch multi-day moves and still leave yourself some buying power to day trade, too.
    Just because you’re under PDT doesn’t mean you can’t trade. You just gotta know where to find those trades. And learn different strategies.

      Hey Tim, I'm new to trading. I just joined your team and I'm excited to grow in this profession. I would like to get better at swing trading. I want to know what to look for when entering a position and know that I'll be safe enough to either get out cutting my losses or get out to lock in my gains, while keeping my day trades available. Thank you for all that you do.

      Darn low priced stocks like JKS was doing or SRRK the last few days. What about SCKT on the 22nd? I think the 4-5 dollar range is better because a run of $ 0.30-1.00/share is reasonable when they do take off and I find they can make a run more then once in a week. KXIN on the 16th, opened around 1.30 and flew to 13.40 on the 19th. Pretty solid return I'd say.

    I agree with you on combining Swing and Day trades Tim. I am on a PDT rule and currently this is what I am doing too. I see my account getting better - it is taking time. But patience is what I am counting on. One thing that bothers me - bag holding. Sometimes, I miss the exit point and hold on to a day trade which becomes a swing after holding it too long. This is due to inexperience that I am holding for too long and hoping that it spikes up again. $CNTG, $EVK, $SCKT from yesterday. Would you perhaps point out some tips on best exit strategies for beginners under PDT please ? Really appreciate you sharing trading knowledge and skills free here. Be blessed !

    PDT question. If i buy 300 shares at $1.00 and I sell 100 shares at $1.05. sell the next 100 shares at $1.10 and the last hundred shares at $1.15. is that considere to be 1 round trip?

    • @jonathanallsman2580
      @jonathanallsman2580 3 роки тому +1

      No, thats 3 trips. If you bought 100 @ $1.00, 100 @ $1.05, and 100 @ $1.10 the SOLD all 300 @ $1.15, then that would be one trip. Reason is you are essentially creating one open order but making 3 closing orders in your example. In my example you would create 3 open orders but only one close order. Would be no different than if you bought all 300 @ $1.00 and sold 300 @ $1.15. Hope that clears things up.

    • @claudesaint17
      @claudesaint17 3 роки тому

      @@jonathanallsman2580 I called and ask. They told me. it's 1 round trip. If I buy a 1000 shares. Until all the 1000 shares are sold. The trip is not complete. So, one can buy a 1000 and sale 500 and the next 500 later.

    So get your account above $25K and avoid this PDT rule. If you fall back under you probably need the PDT rule for your own protection. 👩‍🏭
