Sorry never mirror because then it becomes symmetrical, faces are never symmetrical. Mirror only if you have to, when the face texture has so much light on one side it appears abnormal when on the model. Just erase the other side, especially when you have good front textures like that. In other words don't be lazy, always choose quality over shortcuts.
When you have to mirror;
1) mirror it as a different lawyer
2) crank up the opacity
3) Flip it of course
4) line up the overlayer with the underlayer ( you will see that when you mirror how unsymmetrical faces are.
5) erase the edges so that it blends with the side of the face
6) take out the opacity ( it should be blended, if not do a little more blending)
If you do these steps you should have a pretty good texture of the person.

@@SouLeozinho Thats only by your own choice. You can edit each side separately. Its pretty easy actually. Its a good tip. Flipping it does make it look worse as it is unreal & ruins the natural shading, which is like one of the points of using a face texture. Its a good tutorial though, not hating.

@@geekfreak0416 Defract plans plans sharing texture template on google docs. I should know asked him the question just now on Twitch. So don't use the male texture template if you are planning to make a female caw or else it would look off.

I made a great face with just my phone camera picture. Uploading it from my phone and in game editing. I had a lot of bright spots from lighting so i added face paint to the bright parts and matched the skin colour, little darker then the normal skin colour you want then put it in the bright spots and lower the opacity. Repeat until it looks decent

I swear, Affinity makes things alot harder then Photoshop sometimes, haha. I could see what you where doing but in Affinity it takes alot more work-arounds to get to the final product then It would for photoshop. But, if it works it works.
Also, You should've shown how the texture looks in game as a "final product" look, because I know that custom facial hair is going to fade out at a certain point, but it'd be interesting to see where at what point the fade begins on the texture, if that makes sense.

photoshop is still probably the better program but affinity is all i've ever worked with XD i have to use workarounds a lot but i've gotten used to it haha.
most of the chin stubble did fade out but i did it more to show it was possible to add some to the face if you wanted haha.
