Now I'm practically a shut in, arthritis, one knee replacement, need the other done. But I'm happy, thankful. I'm thankful I have your family to watch and put a smile on my face, for one. A wonderful family, couldn't ask for more. Just be good to yourself. Soup looks so good, love it. I also buy that cleaner, it does smell good.

If it isn’t something you’ve tried before, you should definitely try cooking your cornbread in an iron skillet. Throw some bacon grease in it and let it heat up while your over preheats and the cornbread ends up with a wonderful fried crust on the bottom!

As a quick alternative to frying up bacon, I sometimes use bacon bits as a soup topper.
You may notice a difference in the corn bread based on how coarse the corn meal is ground. We like a coarse cut meal.
