Cheated? yes. Fooled? no. If you're talking about the panapalooza, I always knew it was _complete_ nonsense. However, few people listen to me, so I might just as well be mildly wised up after the event, just like everyone else.
The traditional music labels management teams were run by many of the same people that had been there since late 50s /60s & didn't seem to comprehend that the Pistols/new bands really just updating what Chuck Berry ,the Who, Rolling Stones, David Bowie had done previously . On the rear of the Clash debut is the name Simon Humphries ,he got the job (engineer) despite working with Leo Sayer ,Hot Chocolate simply because he 'was under 30 years old'
The pistols didnt swindle Malcolm was the swindler he even swindled the band out of millions that's why they took him to court and won John hated him and still does he was only in it for himself didn't give a crap who he hurt in the process
yo did you record the premier? i've heard that the version they released on VHS and DVD is slightly different to the original version. apparently the scene in the theater was longer or something.
There's a few different versions. The first one I had was a bootleg picked up via the NME early 1981, it had different scenes and extra footage, then a few years later I bought it on Betamax which was a different edit to the old VHS I had, then I bought it on DVD and again its a slightly different edit to the Beta version, just minor things. The same goes for The Filth and Fury movie, I have three different versions of that, one is a full hour longer than the released version.
@@ScottishTeeVee your collection is impressively extensive. could you upload all of those versions of those movies somewhere? I would very much appreciate the opportunity to take a copy.

The swindle continues with artists earning poorly and fans getting the same music over and over..a great moment in history anyway....Johnny touring with PiL so all ends well.
Loved it when i was a kid, it's like And Now For Something Completely Different in that it's like a final greatest hits package well put together but reading about McLarens underage sexual grooming antics starting after Johnny was kicked out, guessing McLaren knew Rotten wouldn't have tolerated it so there's only a few key bits i like now but the band was great and McLaren can't sully that, he actually sounds worse than Jimmy Saville. What a sick stroke to pull stripping down a 14yo girl and getting her to impersonate the real Sue Catwoman, amazed he wasn't drained in court for it by all concerned inc the singer from Bow Wow Wow.
The band fucking rocked the music industry, because the record labels could not control them, and only for the stupid mismanager that was maclaren they would have taken over the world
To say they had no talent was lazy and totally inaccurate. @@andchat6241 for legal reason bit of jonesy in cinema were taken out and a few other minor changes.i had a bootleg copy and later a proper video copy.also there are bootleg copy with sting lead singer of the police in a car with Paul cook and a few blokes.this turned up in filth and fury film.on the copy of soundtrack album there are several scenes that were taken out as well a sid cartoon sue cat women sitting on a yellow car malcy and a Helen scene and a different song from winterland wear Jones is not wearing the red jacket he wore during no fun.also dvd has commentary from julian temple which will inform you of great knowledge of the film with rare facts ok.
@@andchat6241 26 hours of footage mr juilan temple still has if not more watch never mind the baubles about Xmas gig 1977 in Huddersfield it's very good lots of rare footage

This is a nice interview

No worrys
almost all rock is programmed more or less, but damn I do like what they achieved in the end. feel sorry for a guy tho - but hey it's life.
Such an interesting time to be alive. Sadly I wasn’t.
i was shit but better then now
Funny how McLaren looks kinda like Rotten.
And also sid
Temple looks like a clean and drug free Sid
Inabilitys has musicians" WTF? . The film was a joke from start to finish. As rotten quoted. The film was a swindle. A cream puff is what mclaren showed to the world.
'Ever get the feeling you've been cheated'yes we do Johnny the line is more relevant today in 2021.
Especially the U.S. on Nov 4th 2020
Cheated? yes.
Fooled? no. If you're talking about the panapalooza, I always knew it was _complete_ nonsense. However, few people listen to me, so I might just as well be mildly wised up after the event, just like everyone else.
Sid IS the punk❕
rest in anarchy 🩷
Don’t let the truth get in the way of a boring story.
Julian Temple looked a bit like SiD [a clean version] he could have replaced him if only he knew how to play bass 🎸
"cultivate hate, it is your greatest asset, force the public to hate" Hmmmm I think MI5 may have been involved with the script for this movie
Not just the script (or the movie).
@@TheChadTI agreed
WHOA!!
And only 4 years later in 1984 the Jesus and Mary Chain were born….😊
Saw them at the Barrowlands in Glasgow 1985, short but sweet 🙃
Amazing movie and soundtrack,.literally tells bands what to do and more so Not what to do concerning the delusional record industry.X
Thanks for watching and commenting Robert
God save The Sex Pistols
Inability as musicians!!!! What the f-k?!
yo did you record the premier? i've heard that the version they released on VHS and DVD is slightly different to the original version. apparently the scene in the theater was longer or something.
@@TheAtomicPunkLmao Unfortunately they get blocked at when I try to upload them, noting at all I can do about it
@@ScottishTeeVee could you put them on a different website? or make a torrent containing them? if you did the latter i would seed it
Its all very well being the fantastic schemer manager but you had to have the music.Mclaren was dead lucky he had the band that did NMTB.
Poor old Sid really wasn't the sharpest knife in the box. He was bang on about "the man in the street", though.
THANX !!!
I know j lydon doesn't favour the swindle airplay but being a pistols fan like worldwide I was 12 and still watch it from time to time great band and punk was 👍
"Who killed Bambi"???
Russ Meyer
0:41 "the group fragmented in bitchy anarchy" 😂 this whole report seems to totally buy into McLaren's narcissistic version of events, but that just might be the best way I've ever heard the Pistols' breakup described
Thanks for watching and commenting Sam
@@ScottishTeeVee I'm also Scottish BTW, middle name is Fraser
@@samwindmill8264 Well you are one of the very few Scottish viewers, here in Scotland this channel is almost unknown, most viewers are from USA, Russia, Germany, Japan, Brazil, Canada. Have a great weekend Sam 🍻

The swindle was a gas.
Vive le Rock
GREAT BAND!!!
But so so much more...
🎩🖤🎩
They failed at destroying rock and roll and were actually the most rock and roll band of them all . The honour of destroying rock and roll goes to Ed Sheeran.
@Sam Myers Sheeran destroyed music.
@@nasskhan4543 it was balls way before sheeran,he is carrying the torch of moistness......i hate moist music.
Musical inabilities!!!? NMTB is fantastisch.
Hot Topic and JCPENNY needs Sid Vicious Vive Le Rock T-shirts Black in the Men's Department in small medium large XL 2XL
DID Y'ALL KNOW THAT SID VICIOUS HAS AN "ALLEGED" LOVE CHILD?! SHE WAS BORN IN OCTOBER 1979 AND ANNE BEVERLEY REFUSED MULTIPLE DNA TEST UNTIL SHE PASSED AWAY. SHE HAS A VERY KEEN RESEMBLANCE AND HER SON LOOKS IDENTICAL TO SID AS A CHILD.. I CAN'T SAY CERTAIN THINGS COS OF LEGALITY BUT I BELIEVE THAT SHE IS HIS DAUGHTER. ❤
Even here they are promoting the swindle lol
Yup.
Malcolm screwed the band in so many ways, may he rot in hell.
You wouldn't know a talent if you stood on one, certainly not your mum lol lol
?
Couldn't play? A horrific murder? total bollox
Хмь Прикол)
What a load of bollocks, it was McLarens fantasy not reality
The film not the band
The band fucking rocked the music industry, because the record labels could not control them, and only for the stupid mismanager that was maclaren they would have taken over the world

@@markduncan3246 yea he even said himself he filled his suit with wads of $ and flew to paris.....
Talc-y Malc doesn't come off well in the film; sort of a psychopath, and deeply creepy
That's so sad the old ladies comeing up and weeping over that smybol. Sid is a loser.
To say they had no talent was lazy and totally inaccurate. Never Mind The Bollocks is an amazing album which has genuinely stood the test of time and John Lyndon’s ‘Public Image’ are masterpieces in their own right…each to their own though… I’m off to listen to ‘Cardiacs’ whilst throwing bricks at taped episodes of Britain’s Got Talent!
*Lydon 😉
Saint Germain de la Pres is no ghetto. Malcolm is a Jew though.
