My favorite guy and my favorite song. Brilliant! Perfect! Well, almost . . . I love your final shot, and it goes well with the music, but I was hoping that the final shot would be my favorite 'Buster moment', which was when the front of the house fell down 'on' him, from Steamboat Bill, Jr. That was a helluva stunt, and probably made a helluva 'boom', like the end note of Don't Bring Me Down, which is why I envisioned this stunt at the end. RIP, darling Buster, and to you, and the Lovely Lads of ELO, thanx so very very much, gentle men, for the magic, music, and memories. To the Creator of this marvelous video, thanx muchly for sharing!
Buster Keaton died in 1966, 13 years before Don't Bring Me Down was released. Don't Bring Me Down reached Number 3 in the UK Singles Chart in September 1979. It later became ELO's biggest hit in the US, reaching Number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also reached Number 1 in Canada and Number 6 in Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.
Wow yes the music is appropriate but I was expecting the Animals "Don't bring me down* with a fantastic build-up at the very endI didn't expect this video to be so fantastic this guy's so agile like all the other stars in The silent era I don't know how they do it. Folks using computers now gotten so lazy. Appreciate all these trail blazers like buster here.
Thank you for capturing the sheer physicality of the great Buster Keaton! Great video and perfect music. He did all of that except the pole vault. Most of the time his subtle acting is overlooked, like the scene in the tunnel of love when he comes out all beaten up--his shrug and sideways glance at his tormentor is priceless. This is definitely a favorite Buster video!
@jenlikeshorses From what I've read about him the only stunt he didn't do himself, which was done by another, was the pole vault into the window. He tried for a long time but couldn't master it. Lee Barnes, the Olympic pole vaulter, did that stunt. So for the hill tumble, I would believe my eyes.
I just watch this again and I have to admit this is one of the best videos I have ever watched.... it really is, I'm not just saying that. Be proud of the job you did on this one!
I know that Uncle Buster would certainly smile & tell you this is very good, Your editing and creative ability are superb Well Done - should be on an Academy Award program in Hollywood
This was fabulous. Great E.L.O. tune to go with your video.. Buster was amazing, funny and just adorable!! Thank you so much for the video, loved it :D
@chembukkavu Well I just put one more of these up, so the next one will probably emerge in about a month or more out of boredom and procrastination. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great job. I'm interested to know how they did the scene where he leaps from the top of the hill and tumbles down...he simply couldn't have done that for real...could he?
@ebhiggins90 Yes you're right and part of the reason is it would take him too long to train for it. For many years Buster always regretted not doing that stunt.
@ElKayeVideos Thank you! I'm sure that yours is great too, the song is just perfect for him! It's really great to find so many people who enjoy Buster as much as I do.
@laudanutube That`s from the feature classic Seven Chances. This is the film that also has Buster dodging the boulders going down the hill and being chased by a mob of women through the streets.Great film!
My favorite guy and my favorite song.
Brilliant!
Perfect!

What is it about Buster Keaton? Besides the fact that he was and always will be the best ever. My hero.....
Mr. Buster brings me up because my flirtings are like his, hehehe
Perfect use of music being that he was the one of the silent comedian actors who fell down the most!
I do believe Buster would of approved of this clip.
Wonderful ~ Buster and that sports car ~ Oh My !!!

Aww what a guy though! No real special effects back then and he did all his own stunt's! That's pretty cool when you think about it!
I just watch this again and I have to admit this is one of the best videos I have ever watched.... it really is, I'm not just saying that. Be proud of the job you did on this one!
How did I not find this before? I love Buster and ELO!

A perfect song for Buster Keaton montages!
Excellent combination of video to music it was a good pick me up I was born the year he died and he certainly was a talented actor! 😁
Love ELO and love Buster. Thanks for combining them ;)
I still think no one has surpassed him for physical comedy. Also epic level ELO song.
A terrific Buster Keaton tribute. I absolutely loved it!!
From a lifetime Keaton-o-phile-------
This was a delight!
Thankyou!

The Best of all Times!

Great video edition by the way...
I loooove these mashup videos. Most of my favorites are based on dance, but stunts are kind of related, aren't they?
Well done..perfectly synched to this song...:)
Zero dislikes, I see.
Quite as it should be.
@chembukkavu Well I just put one more of these up, so the next one will probably emerge in about a month or more out of boredom and procrastination. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Very very nicely put together. Too young to watch Buster Keaton but it fits his antics. Nicely done
Great job. I'm interested to know how they did the scene where he leaps from the top of the hill and tumbles down...he simply couldn't have done that for real...could he?
He did every stunt himself I think, save for the pole-vault into his girl's room. Not for lack of trying, but in the end he had an Olympian do it.
@ebhiggins90
Yes you're right and part of the reason is it would take him too long to train for it. For many years Buster always regretted not doing that stunt.
so brilliant thanks for putting this on
@ElKayeVideos Thank you! I'm sure that yours is great too, the song is just perfect for him! It's really great to find so many people who enjoy Buster as much as I do.
Buster Keaton was a genus inncredable stunts all done in real time
Hahaha, love this!!!!!
this really made me smile! ELO and Buster? Brilliant!
Fantastic job!!! Love it!!
Excellent job editing!!
Thanks, he kind of lends himself to this song very well.
I don't know how he did all those stunts without special effects or a stunt man. Clearly, he was a nut for film. He's also incredibly funny.
@laudanutube That`s from the feature classic Seven Chances. This is the film that also has Buster dodging the boulders going down the hill and being chased by a mob of women through the streets.Great film!
Woohoo! Great job by you! Buster is so cool and my hero! : D
Amazing editing! This is probably the best Keaton tribute I've seen on UA-cam! Great job. :)
Genius

Excellent job!! I edited a Buster video to this song many years ago, but I like yours as much if not more! : )
I also like the version you edited.
GREAT fun! Wonderful editing. Will send the link to all my friends to cheer them up! When can we expect the next one?
l o v e t h i s ! ! !
a real combination of form and content, both best here.
B
very kool!!!
Love it!
Good stuff, Sparky. Do some more.
This is wonderful...so well done and the music makes the scenes more hilarious. What film of Buster's is shown at :44 in?
Seven Chances, I believe.
@nateandsophie: Hazel :) But they were a golden-brown hazel, not a greenish-brown hazel.
Very good job at the editing
Made me laugh. Great job editing! =D
They should make a Buster Keaton biopic movie.
Dude you have editing skillz. I loved Keaton's fancy foot work to the hand clapping in the song. What software did you use to create this?
Uhhh...is it just me or does Buster look like the actress Maggie Smith at 1:48? Hahahaha...
@kenglonely The Playhouse. It's a short.
@1strwbryblondnc Thank you!
nice
Wonder if anyone has showed Jeff Lynne this.
2:02 what's the name of this film?
The Playhouse, I think.
Todo esto sin los ordenadores de hoy en dia!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
