Beautiful sentiment, about Beautiful traditional rite Mass. I sing chant at my local one, which is heavily restricted by the sad old men in the diocese.
I’m a convert too. Born baptist born again Catholic. Protestant ministers who converted answered the questions I had about communion. Paul says unless you recognize the body and blood of Our Lord, you eat and drink damnation unto your soul. My Dad baptized me and I asked what was the Baptist teaching on communion. He said it was a symbol. That seemed inconsistent with Paul’s teaching and definitely inconsistent with John chapter 6 teaching. The 72 walked away from Jesus when He said that He would give us His flesh to eat and His blood to drink. He didn’t change the message. He turned to the 12 and asked Will you walk away too? The Lord has given us so many Eucharistic miracles throughout the ages. The host that turned to flesh and blood in Buenos Aires was examined and the flesh is from the left heart muscle and the blood type is the same as the blood on the Shroud of Turin. The report also said the the man had suffered and the sample was taken from living tissue. Do your own research. To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible. St. Thomas Aquinas www.miracolieucaristici.org/en/liste/list.html

Gregorian Chant never went away. As a Benedictine Monk we still sing Gregorian and Plain Chant. The third best Choir in the World is San Domingo de Silos. The Vatican Sistine Choir every Sunday will sing Gregorian and Plain Chant. I have no doubt that there are Churches and Religious Houses in the USA that also sing Gregorian and Plain Chant. I would be surprised if Seminaries in the USA are not taught Gregorian and Plain Chant. Ceertainly they are taught in Seminaries throughout the World. Certainly St Mary Queen of Apostles has publicised it, and that is wonderful. If you want it in your Parish ask for it, there are bound to be others like you.

@@michaelsheridan6891 Yes I agree, Gregorian Chant never went away, but I believe she brought it to her community. And I just learned a church near me did it.

You can visit anyone and believe their dead bodies are worthy to be prayed over, hoping they have some magical connection to answer prayers; however, your attention should be directed to Christ alone.
@@charlesvandenburgh7754 I think you have a misunderstanding of the Catholic faith. Yes indeed, a beautiful commentary. Also I felt a beautiful presence coming from him, Something beautiful and peaceful. A beautiful serene look. May God Bless you. Sr. Wilhelmina, please Bless us all and grant that we may all be equal, let there be an end to racist minds for once and for all. Please help our world heal and let love prevail. Amen.
As a Protestant, I’m also thankful when Protestants treat Catholics with respect & acknowledge they are Christians. I’ve been so sick & disgusted by Protestants who publicly & proudly spread the KKK’s haye & lies about the Catholic Church since I was a child. Now that I’ve learned much about the Catholic Church online I’m really red up with the lies. It turns out we are the ones who have also been taught so many lies about why Protestants rebelled. Much of it had to do with rich princes taking advantage of Martin Luther & others so they could seize tithe’s & property from the Church to enrich themselves not because they wanted to serve Jesus.

I want to thank you for being so respectful to Sister Wilhelmina and our faith. I am very grateful. Sr. Wilhelmina started her new order because after Vatican II she began to notice a lot of sisters in her order were giving up their Habits, ( veils if you will), and the new mass began. She loved the Latin Mass and the Church’s traditions. This is why she founded her new order. The investigation process has already begun, and multiple morticians have already examined her and said they have found no evidence that she was embalmed, nor evidenced of any other form of preserving her body. This is so exciting for us in the Catholic Church. Even though she was hidden, she is our sister and we love her as such. In these times, the way things are in the world today, that one is so holy and faithful to Jesus is our hope. this is a gift from God. It is by His hand that she remains incorrupt. God Bless you sir.
Thank you for this video - it was very interesting! I am a convert to Catholicism from being a Protestant. After learning that the Catholic Church is the Church that Jesus started, I ran to Him in His Church! We absolutely love the Latin Mass.
Thank you for the respectful way you presented this experience you had on your visit to the monastery. Traditional Catholics understand this as a testament to the beauty and purity of our life in Christ, hidden and interior in whatever state of life we might be in. And Sister W was indeed a living witness of the worship of our God through her life of dedication and silence and humble service and most of all, contemplative prayer! God bless you and may you draw closer to God through your experience and through her intercession.🙏🏼
The Traditional Latin Mass is beautiful. The Mass shown in the video is a Solemn High Mass with three clergymen (also called lords in some countries) One priest, who is the actual celebrant that consecrates the bread and wine. One deacon whose task it is to sing the Gospel and assist in the Holy Mass. One Sub-Deacon who sings the Epistle (usually from St. Pauls letters). These three are the higher orders (there are 7 in total) and are ordained by a bishop. The Sub-Deacon and Diaconate are the last two steps to the priesthood.

You brought me to tears with your truthful and respectful description. Thank you! In a world of so much hate towards the Catholic Church, you are a light I visited the monastery and her body too. The only thing I’d like to say is this: those children crying… they were not freaked out. Believe me when I tell you, that they cried bc they felt Jesus’ love. My family history is one of converts from various religions to the Catholic faith, as a child I recall the priest and nuns use to visit regularly the people in their parish even having coffee or a meal while sharing the gospel. My research on Sister Wilhelmina shows, she saw over a hundred nuns leaving that first convent during 60s/70s/80s as they became more of the world. I remember seeing some of these changes and it shocked me, these things Sister Wilhelmina fought against, she wanted them to keep the full habit and the Latin Mass. Some of my non Catholic friends would comment to me about so and so who was a nun but stopped using their clothes in the hospital and classroom, some eventually got married. The Latin Mass is not a play for Catholics, but a sacrifice (un bloody) and while the host and wine remains visible we truly believe our Lord transform them into His body and blood. John 6.53 What God bless flourishes, He rewarded Sister Wilhelmina’s fidelity by miraculously preserving not just her body but the habit she fought for.
Thank u dear writer for the testimony of ur family, Research & ur personal discourse on it. It is insightful ! I ve resently discovered both Gregorian & benedictine chants, through an exosist preist, Who encouraged us to listen to them , bcos demons fear them, So that lend me to being drawn to latin songs & latin prayers, & it's been a blessing for me ,for I always find solace , deliverance & peace in this chants. So I also believe, that , perhaps the lord Has touched sister Wilhelmina to do what she did to restore & revive the church in that way. Praise & Glory be to God , & to our lord & saviour Jesus Christ ❤& to the holy spirit❤ who preserved her body to remain in the state of holiness , for that preaches louder than words! Amen
Thank you for this video. What a dear man you are to have such respect for Catholics. I’m a part of the traditional Catholics Church and even though we get mocked and misunderstood, we still love others and pray to God to give the graces they need to find truth. Prayers for you and your safe travels.
She founded the monastery, she didn't "find" it. Also, you neglected to say the lid of Sister's coffin was cracked down the middle allowing water and dirt to enter the casket. The coffin was lined with the same material as Sister's habit. The lining of the coffin deteriorated, but Sister's habit did not. Only the power of God could keep her from decay.

As a cradle Catholic who worshipped about 20 years as a Protestant and returned to Catholicism in 2009, I’ve seen various reactions to Catholic practices and beliefs from non Catholics. Thank you for this reverent, thoughtful review of Sr Wilhelmina!
Thank you for sharing this! So heartwarming to hear this experience from the perspective of a Protestant. We love the Traditional Mass -- so much more sacrality. And the Chants of these Nuns are heavenly.....!
Thanks for visiting the convent and reporting to us. As a Catholic I will be interested in hearing your thoughts on the Latin Mass. It's quite a hot topic among some Catholics. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Allen, appreciate it. Knowing zilch about it, I'm curious what makes it such a hot topic within the Catholic community? The word that came to mind was "involved," it was so orchestrated with scripted-like movement - but more carefully elaborate. Obviously the language was different, and there were a few instances based on the rhythm you could tell what prayer was being said. I was curious why there were three fathers (if that was a nod to the Three Wise Men or Trinity perhaps - not sure). Also, there was one part where they all sat down for like a minute, but they kept putting on and taking off these tiny hats during a chant. It was so strange, and then they got right back up to continue the mass.
@@52churchesin52weeks Certainly no expert here at all, but as to "hot topic" it has mostly to do with our current Pope and requiring Bishops to get Rome's approval to allow certain parishes to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass :Tridentine Mass". Elaborate, as you say, is a good way to describe it, some would think more reverent as well. Those are my thoughts, in a nutshell. As to 3 priests, sitting down briefly, taking their hats off (I don't recall the proper name for that hat) I have no idea!
@@52churchesin52weeks this is awesome that you went there! The three priests were probably the main celebrant priest who offers Mass, joined with two priests acting as a deacon and a subdeacon. The first deacon was St. Stephen from Acts, and the diaconate is a level of the clergy in the Catholic church, right before priesthood. In a “Solemn High” Latin Mass, the priest is accompanied by a deacon and subdeacon, who are usually priests but they can act as these because a priest must have been a deacon for some time before being ordained a priest. So he still contains the ‘faculties’ of a deacon. When they assist the priest, the subdeacon chants the Epistle reading and the deacon chants the Gospel, among other things they both do. The little hat that they wear is called a biretta, and usually only found in traditional Catholicism. The reason they were most likely taking them on and off is because the Holy Name or “Jesus” was sung during the chant. In the Mass, the priests and faithful are encouraged to bow their heads and show signs of reverence when Christ’s Holy Name is mentioned, which is based on Philippians 2:10, which says “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, &c.” Hope that’s helpful and God bless you.
@@52churchesin52weeks They take the hats off at the name of Jesus .. The Latin Mass which has not changed over the decades since the middle ages and before has been taken away from us. Christians in Rome began using Latin for the Mass in the fourth century... It was because it was an unchanging language , that it continued , ( the meaning can't be changed ) .. the English mass came in during Vatican 2 ... and was made more like the Protestant services ( no disrespect intended , but this is why it's a contentious topic )
I was born a Catholic but as many, drifted away with the world, when I left for College. I truly accepted the love of our Lord Jesus Christ when I turned 33! I only attend the Traditional Latin Mass now after searching and researching the Truth. Enjoyed your video so much. Thank you for your honesty and openness. Even though you are not a Catholic you went after this mystery (to you) with a open heart. Even though we didn’t know Sr. Wilhelmina in life, the fact that her body is incorrupt, for us Catholics, points to the Eternal Father who is the master of all creation. As a Catholic, I thank you for your respectful portrayal of this amazing reality in a time in history when many Protestants bash Catholics. May our dear Lord Jesus bless you abundantly and fill you to overflowing with the Joy of the Lord!
Sir, I thank you for this wonderful video on Sr. Wilhelmina! Your openness and respect are much appreciated. I know Catholicism is mysterious and involves some puzzling traditions and devotions which sometimes cause misunderstandings, but I think you did a beautiful job of presenting this mysterious happening. I sense that the Holy Spirit is leading you in your personal faith journey and that you are following well. I pray that you will be blessed beyond words in that journey to Jesus the Lord. I do truly believe that the Lord is using Sr. Wilhelmina to draw souls to Him and to remind us of the beauty and reverence of the Traditional Latin Mass. There is much more to the actions of the priest than just a play, but that was a good analogy for those who have never experienced it. It is more like what the early Church prayed. Much more respect and reverence is shown by a more poetic and intentional expression of worship to our God. Again thank you and God bless you on your journey to Him.🙏🙏🙏🕊✝️✝️
As a cradle Catholic, and now a lover of the Traditional Latin Mass, I find myself very intrigued to see Protestants open to learning about our Faith. Thank you for a beautiful and, what seemed to be, an objective summary of your visit. I would love to see you explore the Traditional Latin Mass. God bless you! Sister Wilhelmina, pray for us.
As a Catholic, it is nice to hear from a Protestant perspective. Love your commentary. Indeed it is a play, a play back of Christ's sacrifice on the Cross
Thank you David. Excellent job. I hope there will be more bonus material. I like what you did talking about what this could mean for Catholics. Aspen English's (comment) point that this could happen to all kinds of different people... I get it, could be a fluke. In this case it happened to Sister Wilhelmina. If she had been Baptist or Methodist, we would have never known, and if we had, we would respond something like, "huh, ain't that something." These, however, are Catholics, and they do things a little differently. Is it so strange that God would speak to them meaningfully in a language that they understand? I don't think so. I think that He will speak to you in the language and particular dialect you understand. Which reminds me, a saw a cardinal zoom right past my windshield on my way to work, a couple of days ago; it made me think of you and gave me courage going in to work. Cheers.
Thank you very much for a very respectful comments and opinion about sister Wilhelmina and the Catholic church as well. Am catholic and here just subscribed to your channel. Be blessed always.
Thank you, David. I am so glad that I found your channel and I had the joy of listening to your wonderful narrative. As you spoke, your sincerety and honesty struck me more than words would describe.
You are onto something when you describeed the The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass as a play. Actually, it is Liturgy, it is a participation in the marriage feast of the Lamb. The Creation of the world is Liturgy. It was ordered and structured by God.. So is the traditional Latin Mass. That is why you were so moved during it. It is the Mass of the ages, which the Fathers, Doctors, and Saints of the Church worshipped at! All of salvation history is played out msytically in the Tranditional Latin Mass. When you worship at it, you enter into the realm of eternity, because that saving act of Christ which happened once for all in time and space, is a perpetual self-offering of Christ to the Father in eternity. To truly worship, God you must have a Sacrifice and the only worthy Sacrifice is Jesus, the Lamb of God, and we unite ourselves to His, as Saint Paul taught in Romans. Therefore, we Catholics obey Our Lord when He said "do this in memory of me." For God, memory means make present by the power of the Holy Spirit. And He also said, "My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood HAS eternal life and I will raise him on the last day. " Therefore, God makes eternity present by the power of the Holy Spirit in Mass. Thank you for video! God bless you!
I totally agree the singing is angelic. The mass itself is the highest form of prayer and as catholics we unite to celebrate the sacred mystery, and not be an observer of an act. I also liked the fact that the ladies wore veils..slowly coming back to what it used to be. To God the glory in Sr. Wilhelmina.
God bless you for going there and showing this to everybody. I think the Lord is trying to tell us to be humble and holy like this woman and I also think it’s a message with the Dodgers hosting a fanatical anti-nun group. These are wholly women who have given their life to God, and they pray all day for all of us, which is so beautiful. Everyone should look at her life and how she lived because the Lord is sending us a all message. These holy women pray for all of us every day, trying to bring everyone to the Lord.
Honestly, God is wonderful. So wonderful. I can't begin to tell my experiences. I remember one of the first rosary processions we had many years ago. I was a child. Around 4 years old. My mom was, and still is, a member of Blue Army. She took my brother and I along to the prayer. I first hand saw our Blessed Virgin Mary appear in the sky. I will never forget. Nor will I forget the many times I have experienced God Almighty first hand. Even till today. I fall short from time to time. But I don't joke with my God. And I always tell him that my greatest desire is that he can beat his chest with so much joy and pride at my dying moment and say, "Yes! This is my son." God has helped me sooo much, even at so many times that I did not deserve it. God is real! God is good, and very amazing.

I was born into the Catholic faith and community. I am one of seven children in my family who stayed in my church until it closed and merged with two other churches. I still attend. Two of my sisters came back to the faith. Others choose different paths. My son who was raised by me in church ( my ex husband wasn’t very religious either but Catholic). I fully believe pray, heaven, the Holy eucharist, in miracles and all the mysteries of the church. The others are taking with the world materialism 😢. I pray all the time that they come back. My 91 year old Mother prays daily, hourly for her family. My point is that faith and belief seems to be, must be cherished and wanted. You need to maintain it and research it and pray for it. The world will try to steal you away from God. It truly is a BATTLE for our SOUL! The devil is tricky and very deceptive. Pray to God daily and ask for his PROVIDENCE!

We veil because of the angels, as St. Paul said. There is a spiritual hierarchy and symbolism. Women represent the bride of Christ It is also the reason St. Peter's is domed. The dome is the veil of the Church, the bride of Christ.
@@52churchesin52weeks well, we ladies like beautiful, feminine veils and present ourselves to show reverence to God. How would we all dress to meet the king and queen of England, or the president of the United States? We are coming into the presence of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. That's why it is scandalous for people to come to Mass in shorts and immodest clothes. God told Moses to remove his sandals on Mt. Sinai because he was standing on holy ground. We to stand in the Presence of Almighty God when we enter a Catholic Church. Jesus is there, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. And people should dress midestly and appropriately when they enter the home of the nuns and have respect for the Sisters as well who live out holy modesty before Our Lord.
Good job with this video. Very respectful of out Catholic traditions. A couple of clarifications, Sister Luc Gabriel, O.P. was the first nun to have a #1 hit with the song 'Dominique' in 1963. She is also the only Belgian to have a #1 hit in the US. The other priests in this Mass are actually deacons. Unlike their protestant brothers, Deacons in the Catholic church are ordained clergy. Besides her body not decaying despite being in a coffin that had collapsed and filled with water and dirt, her clothing remained in tact even though the fabric inside the coffin had rotted.

Your religion is a religion that the entire Bible repeatedly warns you all not to be deceived by. But you all being completely spiritually dead and blind, the Bibles repeated warnings mean nothing to you. For it was for this that you were all created. Repent! "What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:" Romans 9:22 KJV "But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;" 2 Peter 2:12 KJV "But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves." Jude 1:10 KJV
I dont know your name but may you be joyed by the mysteries and richness of the Catholic faith and may you be one of us one day. God Bless. Thank you for showing me Sister Wilhelminas' story.
Thank you for this open-minded and respectful report. Was struck by your describing the Mass as “like a play” - I assumed you did not mean a play in the sense of “entertainment”, but more in the sense of “planned” and “carefully choreographed “, with every gesture being significant. If that’s what you meant, that’s exactly right. Mass isn’t like a TED talk, where the congregation sits back and gets taught. It is an act of worship from beginning to end, and the actions of the priest (or priests) AND the congregation are part of that act of worship. It sounds like you were at a Mass where everyone took that aspect (the “choreography “) very seriously and carried it out with devotion.
my dear I really love your observations, they are not called lead father but the celebrants or the ministers of the Holy Eucharist. surely the protestants do not believe about the sacraments and saints, I don't blame for it as a catholic I only pray for all to reach that level of faith in God with the special way to attain the sainthood.
Yes, the fact that her body is incorrupt along with many other saints; is a sign of the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ that we too may share in his resurrection and glory. We too will receive the gift of a glorious body and the happiness of eternal life with him. This transformation begins with our Baptism and receiving of the Holy Sacraments of Confirmation, Reconciliation and participation in the Holy Eucharist which is His Holy Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity (Emmanuel - God with us). For those who like Sister Wilhelmina who carry their cross with Christ will share in his glory. There is such depth in His Promises and Teachings! Praise be to God! Alleluia! I hope to be in that number!

Our faith is made up of many of those religious and ordained who sing; The Benedictine Sisters of Mary in Missouri; The Dominican Sisters of Mary in Ann Arbour, MI; The Carmalite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart in Los Angeles; Friar Alessandro; The Monastery of Christ in the Desert, near Santa Fe, NM; just to name a few...
Because of your respectfulness and your open heart in witnessing of GOD'S gift to humanity of Faith and Tradition established by The Father through Jesus His Son united with His power the Holy Ghost I have subscribed to your channel. I hope and pray for you in your journey of faith. One's mind can't conceive what gifts and graces God has for a soul who is present to the Mass of the Ages. Attending the Latin Mass gives witness that Jesus, The Lord is truly, truly present. He humbles Himself so we His sinful and weak creatures can be in His presence. All reverence due to God is presented most beautifully in a Latin Mass. The Modern Catholic Church unfortunately has given into laxity and irreverence.

Catholic faith is a family faith, saints on earth are united to Saints in Heaven. Doesn't matter where we are in the world, our Saints and holy people belong to ALL Catholics, we can go to mass anywhere in the world and participate, feel at home. Catholics visit incorrupt bodies of St Teresa and St Padre Pio and others.
You are completely lost and deceived. The cult of catholicism is the false manmade Godless religion of the accursed. Repent, and learn what the Christianity of the Bible actually is.
You can visit anyone and believe their dead bodies are worthy to be prayed over, hoping they have some magical connection to answer prayers; however, your attention should be directed to Christ alone.
@@charlesvandenburgh7754 I think you have a misunderstanding of the Catholic faith. Just because bones of Elisha brought soldiers back to life, or Paul's hankerchiefs was used by God to bring about healing does not mean glory is taken away from God. Just because a Catholic saint has a body is that didn't corrupt and the honor bestowed onto that person does not mean anything is taken away from God. This nun is incorrupt able because God made it so. And we glorify God for these miracles.
@charlesvandenburgh7754 - you have a distorted view of the Catholic faith. Saints are our brothers and sisters alive in heaven. They pray for us, with us. We pray to Christ and they pray with us.

All Masses when done properly are beautiful.
The original articles of faith of the Church of England describes the mass as blasphemous fables and dangerous deceits.

John 6.53
What God bless flourishes, He rewarded Sister Wilhelmina’s fidelity by miraculously preserving not just her body but the habit she fought for.
All Masses no matter which rite are the sacrifice of Calvary

God isn’t interested in the Latin language. It’s dead and it doesn’t hold any power.

Cheers.

Impressive sir. Especially since you are not Catholic. Nuns gave thousands of us first class educations. Forever grateful.

This is my son."
God has helped me sooo much, even at so many times that I did not deserve it.
God is real! God is good, and very amazing.
That was a great summary. It’s a beautiful miracle

This is really interesting. I would love to see a video about the Catholic Church. My grandmother was a devout Catholic all her life.

@@52churchesin52weeks she really fought to keep them that's why she left the previous nuns coz they did away with them
We veil because of the angels, as St. Paul said. There is a spiritual hierarchy and symbolism. Women represent the bride of Christ
It is also the reason St.
Thank you for this video and your perspective. I recommend the go-to book on these cases: "The Incorruptibles: A Study of Incorruption in the Bodies of Various Catholic Saints and Beati" by Joan Carroll Cruz.
@Father J. Marcel Portelli ,...There is no one who has died who is alive. And, there is no one who has died who is in heaven.
Your religion is a 100% fake manmade fraud. It is a 100% different religion to the Bibles religion of Christianity. Your religion, catholicism, is the manmade religion of the accursed of God, of the spiritually dead and blind, of the vessels of wrath, and the brute beasts made for destruction.
Your religion is a religion that the entire Bible repeatedly warns you all not to be deceived by. But you all being completely spiritually dead and blind, the Bibles repeated warnings mean nothing to you. For it was for this that you were all created. Repent!
"What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:" Romans 9:22 KJV
"But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;" 2 Peter 2:12 KJV
"But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves." Jude 1:10 KJV
I appreciate your respectfulness in reporting honestly your observation.
Alleluia! Praise God! Alleluia!
To God be the Glory! Sr. Whilamina, pray for us.
my dear I really love your observations, they are not called lead father but the celebrants or the ministers of the Holy Eucharist. surely the protestants do not believe about the sacraments and saints, I don't blame for it as a catholic I only pray for all to reach that level of faith in God with the special way to attain the sainthood.
Thank you for this! ❤️
Thank you for being so respectful
Thank you so very much. for this.

Lord, keep and bless us all who trust in You. Unite us again: Catholics, Protestants, Anglicans, Orthodox. All Christians and those who are seeking You with a pure heart.
Amen.
Beautiful church, I’m hoping to go see Sister Wilhelmina later this fall. Truly beautiful gift from God.
Dear Sir; I for one am so glad you are seeing this, but so you know the Benedictine Sisters that Sr Wilhelmina founded, are NOT the only religious or ordained in the faith to sing for their bread.
So much much more to share but Our Blessed Mother will teach you everything you want to know about Her Son JESUS and His One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. GOD Bless you and keep you. Pray for us Sister W.
