I hope people can appreciate how many times he is asked these questions… About his ankle etc. And every time, to every person he is talking to, he is constantly a gentleman and considerate and NEVER acts like he’s annoyed or bothered to talk and repeat the story or answer the question. Always is happy to talk and laugh and he genuinely means it. Good hearted soul.
LanceHenryPT yes. Lots of respect to actors who you know are asked the same exact questions for months and still at the end, treat it like it’s the first time they’re hearing it. Tom is definitely one of my heroes.
To me, it takes someone without an ego to do the stunts he has. Because to hang 120 stories up off the burj khalifa, I'm thinking your mentality's got to be, "eh, if I go splat, I go splat, and if I don't, I don't, whatever."
LanceHenryPT yeah, Tom always seems enthusiastic in every interview I see him in, it's great how much energy he has. He just clearly loves what he's doing, and that's great.
My ex GF knows him pretty well. She says he is exactly like you see in this interview. Pretty much obsessed with putting out the best movie possible no matter what. His work ethic and dedication are amazing when you consider he has nothing to prove. Amazing guy.
Gotta hand it to the man, as much as I love Bruce Willis and Harrison Ford, those guys got so jaded and lazy in the latter half of their career, while Cruise is just getting better and better and still as pumped and driven as he always was. Got a lot of respect for the guy.
We all need to see a Mission Impossible-James Bond crossover. Imagine if you were watching Ethan Hunt in a mission impossible movie and James Bond walks in and they work on a mission together. Because of what Tom Cruise has turned mission impossible into, this would be one of the most memorable scenes in cinema history.
I enjoy them in their own movies as well. In my opinion, I think James Bond is more famous than Ethan Hunt despite the long history of both. I think seeing them together in a movie would help put them on equal level.
I love how he has respect for other actors. And frankly tells how he loves Bond Movies. He knows deep inside that actually there's no competition. He is the King.
Prince Sid. Nice observation. To me it is almost like he was all smiles and enjoying answering any question until 2:23. Then he gives the media-training-answer. When the interviewer insists at 2:34 he seems done, still shows his media training with smiles, persists in not answering the question, and then ends the exchange by walking away... probably to the next interviewer in line and/or because his publicist outside the shot signals him?? Anyway, he persists with style and class concerning this subject❣️🤩👏🏽

Not to sound korny, but you can just see a person, and see that they are continent with life on a whole other level. He really loves his craft, he loves talking about , and his dedication shows that. Him and Henry Cavill always look like they are interested in the conversation and just....a gentleman. Really people to look up to, no matter how old you are.
"I don't want to fight him, I like his movies... a lot" meaning, "yes of course I can fight Bond and break him." Bond is nothing without any of his gadgets Ethan Hunt will win every time.
He's being polite. In a fight, Cruise would wipe the floor with Craig. Cruise is a far bigger action star for far longer -- and he has serious fighting skills as we saw in Last Samurai and MI2 -- both films with Japanese and Chinese fight masters. Craig is rugged but not really one to deliver a stunning fight scene.
Lotus Sutra I dunno. Unless as part of an actor's normal workout routine (not just prepping for a movie), he actually spars, I'd say it's a toss up as to how they'd fair in a street fight. Also, whether or not he keeps up any skills learned from training for roles. For example, I think Mark Wahlberg can probably fight as he has an actual boxing ring as part of his own gym and says he often spars with friends he grew up with who love trying to knock him out. At the end of the day, fight choreography is just that, a choreographed set of moves that makes the hero look tough as nails and highly skilled.
We can all laugh at his crazy religious beliefs and nutty antics. But Cruise is the ultimate movie star - this guy would risk life and limb to entertain audiences and works harder than anyone during the promotional circuit. One day I'm gonna miss seeing him run or ride a motorcycle on the big screen.
He can beat Daniel Craig easily in fight because he's been in shape since beginning he's tough Daniel showed toughness just by bond character but Daniel can't do stunts and all its just Tom cruise is so classy gentleman thats why he said like this
It's too bad scientology snatched him up. He seems like a great guy and he's lost his wife and practically his daughter because of it. He always puts on a smile for his fans but I feel like he's hurting inside. But I love his movies and hope he never stops, he's the real reason I still go to the theater, movies generally suck nowadays but he's amazing. I love that he does his own stunts and limits the use of cgi, if any at all. Fantastic!!
