If you are doing away with the small battery you have to take our the fuse on F42. LoL. And then remove the negative wire for the small battery. No, I'm not watching anymore of the video. I'm 10 minutes in and you don't have a clue.
The way he is doing it you dont need to remove any fuses, there is 2 ways to do it, one is his way and one is the way you explained, he is doing it correct
I’ve tried a couple different ways of deleting the AUX battery. So far what’s worked best for me has been to remove fuse 42, run the positive up to the main battery, and disconnecting the AUX negative from the battery. I don’t believe that the AUX positive cable needs to be connected to the main battery but that seemed like the safest place to secure it. I didn’t want it just dangling around with electrical tape. At some point I’ll go through the whole wiring harness and remove all the AUX wiring but for now it’s been working great for over about 2 years
I have this problem right now I deleted the auxiliary battery I connected the positive with the positive in main battery but the auto start stop sign still shown What you did to remove the sign fron dashboard Thanks
I did not remove anything but the aux battery. And then hooked the positive aux to the positive main battery. Cycled the jeep on and off and the light went away.
I disconnect the negative from the top side that goes to the aux. According to what I've researched & pulled the F42 fuse. The start stop still works not sure it should be?? I don't have any lights on dash. How would I know if the aux is really not connected?? I did not go down to aux I only disconnected the negative from aux where it connects to top battery. Any help appreciated.
If your start/stop is still working then you don’t have it disconnected. What I’ve done in my video has worked for me. I DID NOT PULL ANY FUSES. just a fyi
Just finished with my 21 gladiator rubicon 24k miles. This was the second time that light came on. Was not going to try and deal with the dealer ship again. I did the aux battery delete just like you showed. Didn’t remove the fuse, the light went away at first start up. I do have a mini tazer to help keep it off. Is it needed to upgrade the main battery to a 750 cca?
Pull fuse. Remove negative from aux battery. The batteries are wired in parallel you can remove the negative cable tape it off and you must pull the ESS fuse
That didn't work for me. I pulled the negative from the main battery going to the aux battery and taped that end up. I pulled fuse 42 for ESS and I still get the Stop Start unavailable warning light in my 2021 Sport Unlimited.
I keep getting aux switches unavailable battery needs charging i don’t know if thats the main or aux but i want to upgrade the main and eliminate the aux totally and you almost scared me out of doing that…lol…my aux was replaced last year and the main tested ok so i have no clue why im getting that message.Im not getting the avenger message so its mo a coin toss do i do it or not do it….
Good to know i guess ill have to get a bigger battery since mines has been in there since 2020.I just dont understand why im getting that message and not the avenger sign im beginning to think the main has a bad cell.
Aux battery killed my main battery. I got a yellow top optima, pulled the fuse(f42), and disconnected the aux negitive. No bells or whistles, or any warning lights on dash, AND start stop still working!!! Not sure I did anything wrong, but jeep running like a champ now. Go figure:)

You are correct I don’t know I’m going off of what everyone else is doing. And it did work without removing the fuse.

Thanks for the info! So far all is working fine. Just putting the positive aux cable on the main battery I did not remove the fuse.

I have saw others do so but as now still on my factory main battery with no issues.
Pull fuse. Remove negative from aux battery. The batteries are wired in parallel you can remove the negative cable tape it off and you must pull the ESS fuse
I did not pull any fuses and just have the battery removed with the positive to the positive on the main battery and no issues as of yet
@@ChadMyers73 it likely would have saved you from having to tie in the positive wire from the aux battery. Glad it’s working well for you.

I did this! Guess what, my start stop is working on my 2020 glad
It cleared my light but start stop is not working

Why is the Aux battery even there for???
You know I really don’t know……
When you stop at a light, and the ESS shuts off the motor, the auxiliary battery keeps the electronics powered while the engine is not running
Pull #42 fuse
Did have to pull any fuses
