I've fully beaten this. It has some cool aspects to it. 1. Easy to play casually, and can be set up for one handed play in settings. 2. It can get intense and has fun min/max mechanics, particularly in the late game. 3. Just a nice old school vibe.
I don't like, that in those games, you have to grind additional stats, before you're even able to finish maps. I'd rather have systems like brotato or hades, where you can make it harder for yourself, but you don't get basically punished from the start.
you can actually finish the first stage on a fresh account on the first run, but you have to pick the optimal powers and now how they interact. if he had chosen needles and upgraded it to level 3 instead of orbs and lightning the story would have been radically different
@@TheMadJoker87 you're proving my point. You have to have luck to get the right build, it's not about the skill while playing. Like kripp mentioned, movement speed doesn't matter, because at some point they just come from everywhere and if you don't have enough DMG, you're done. Hades rewards skill with movement and even with brotato it's possible to run around your enemies.
Are you claiming to have 'beaten' hades on your first run? Because that game also has meta progression and it would be quite a stunt. Brotato also has unlockables that make your future runs easier, as it's common in the genre, but it's not required in order to beat your first run.
@@satanasteguarda Maybe then that's proof I'm not as good as I thought I am. Because in this game, I find the number of enemies from all direction at the end phase very extreme. And I struggle to believe it's predictably achievable to win, without any extra stats.

my only issue with it is that it kinda gets easy to quick,it starts decently paced,but a few perma upgrades in,a few big items and you are a god
Please try Death Must Die, great rohuelike/bullet heaven game, cheap and very fun to play with a nice simple visual.
