  • State of the Arts tells the story of the Scheide Library at Princeton University, one of the finest collections of rare books and manuscripts in the world. Privately owned by William H. Scheide, the collection was begun by William Scheide's grandfather before the Civil War, and continued by his father. The library holds a very rare collection of Bibles, including a Gutenberg, medieval manuscripts and incunabula, printed books on travel and exploration, Americana, and music manuscripts of Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven.
