Jesse....you understand that if you sacrifice yourself to save the dog while Cthulhu roams the world....you aren't actually saving your dog....rather you're sentencing all dogs on planet earth to certain death.
This is one of the greatest games for comical failures! We love playing it. We've lost in the first 15 minutes before, or 1 move from winning. We've also won with some hilarious shenanigans. So much fun we've introduced many friends to it now.
This is a great game. I have been painting the minis - Old Ones and Monsters - just too many investigators. One hint on playing the game is that resting is really important. Need to keep the stress down for those re-rolls. Then you can keep those companions alive.
Well played gentlemen, thoroughly enjoyed watching you fail and condemn the world to madness. Been considering getting this for a while now, I think it’s time to treat myself.
This is the current endeavor of my weekly gaming group. Five players and so far on S1E6 for Cthulhu. Easy to teach casual gamers, models are rad, and we love this game. Extra dice are a must, but they're hard to get right now. I have to say, Quackalope consistently makes videos of games we're either playing or considering backing. Quality content, keep it up! QUACK. Thoughts on "Betrayal on the House on the Hill" before I crack it open after Season 1?
Betrayal is not my favorite game - I find the randomness in the events and the group needed to get a good play - hard to find! However - people love it for a reason! It’s a mad time and if you have a group ready to dive into the weirdness :P get ready!
Although the base game is perfectly fine, some scenarios are frustrating in that the rules triggered once the haunt begins can be fairly muddled (to be kind). If you are playing with non-gamers and s/he becomes the traitor? Not good. Based on many plays of the base game and 1/2 of Legacy Betrayal, I recommend Legacy. And then you'll have a custom base set for the future!
This is an epic game which I love to play with my fiancé :D Everytime the game is different and it is always fun to play the different characters and episodes. We never lost...until now I guess. Seeing you lose here probably sparked something in the universe ;)
I hate setting this game up! Finding the right tiles is always painful and so is storing them. They fit so awkwardly back in the box...smh... This game can go from fun to surrounded by monsters with no way out but to die in a single turn. Fun? Sometimes.
Nice play throughout... helping me to understand that it not a game for me.... I would really like to see what you both think about Machina Arcana 2.... in contrast...
LOVE this game! 😍. It's fun in many ways and deeper than one might think, which allows players to improve by making the right moves at the right times considering all the skills, items, companions, insanity traits, etc. Have played it several times and most games go great. Only lost quickly once, but that was my fault for being careless 😅. Lost other times because I've been introducing it to many people and let them do what they want, but they're willing to play again once they get it 😌. GREAT game! 🤩.
I keep seeing people die playing this game. I wanted to get it but it seems just so hopelessly depressing and terrifying lol sure thats kinda what the genre is about but if you're losing most of the time i'm not sure I'd find that fun. I guess i could house rule a few things to make it a smidge easier.

Enjoy the show xD you won’t be disappointed!
This game is a blast everytime! Most games I've played finish on a knife's edge. Love the Pulp - over the top stories this game creates.
One of my favorites! One great add on to this game are those cheap little doors you can get off of Etsy. Makes diving up the rooms a lot more clear.

I love this game!! Even when I lose which is a lot.

This game is absolutely incredible. My gaming group adores it. I sure hope they make more seasons
I agree - I want a copy xD
Great gameplay gents! I forgot QVC was a thing until you mentioned it!
Great video! This game is probably the best game in my collection and I got it from KS so there's really lots of stuff.
I’ve been playing this one like crazy 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
It’s very very fun :)
@@Quackalope just a raucous hoot 😂
would love to see you guys play boardgameco's unplayed cthulhu wars
Thats a great game! Love it! I painted all the minis too so it looks even cooler!
Oh!! Very very nice :)
I APPEAR!!!!!!
This game looks super fun! But one sure fire way to ruin a winning streak is to play a coop game with Jesse that depends on dice rolls.
:D I did my best!!!
I've proven that I am an even worse dice roller than Jesse :)
This game looks amazing! I almost backed this. I'm hoping I can get hold of a complete set some day
This is one of my favourite games.
This and HELLBOY. 😎
Great vid .
This game or MoM which one I should buy?

@@Quackalope Thanks for the candor, and I have such a group. Keep doing what you do, thanks again.

So quick question, when was the last time you won a coop game?
Yes.

Hello
Hello!
I would do whatever it takes to save the dog! I'm very disappointed at you Jesse :( (my dog is as well)
Maybe a 3.5% drop in gooberness would make you more watchable. Lvl toughness first next time
Nah, likely would not help.
It's pronounced Rill Yea! :)
