I watched your video for the 1114 cage. It took me forever to get it set, but I did. I think a closer look at the lever arm or a diagram would help. Thanks, I did get it done and your video did help.

Have watched this several times and still can’t set the trap .
No directions on how to set, I had to watch this to find out how. IMHO Concern with releasing, subject to getting hand bit - POS and returned it.

How do you let the animal out of the trap?
For me, one of the advantages of this design (12" x 30") is that there are no springs or catches to fool with when releasing an animal. When approaching the trapped animal, keep a scrim of some kind in front of you (I use an old shower curtain). Drape it over the trap and keep it there until releasing the animal. The animal will calm and be much less fearful of the trip. To release, simply place the trap on the ground, remove the scrim and roll the trap over gently with your foot. The rings will fall to the open position, as will the door. Out goes Woody. Or Rocky. For this reason, be sure that the trap can't roll over in an enclosed vehicle. I put a concrete block either side of it for the trip. Don't take chances with a trapped animal. Assume that any animal you catch could be rabid - dress for the occasion and wear leather gloves when handling the trap until the animal is released.
In simpler terms, turn or flip the trap over/upside down, the rings will slide down the bars, and the trap door will fall open, on its own.
1. Catch your animal,
2. Prepare for release, clothes, right location, buddies/helpers, ect
3. Overturn the cage, (upsidedown) with your foot or a stick and step back to make space. The trap door will fall open.
4. Wait for your animal to walk themselves out, or help shake them out of the cage. 🙂
Not good because I'm trying to catch a cat it steals the food in leaves the cat is too light
I have the xl version, you gotta set the pin as light as it'll go without setting off. I set mine past the groove,, never on it
Doesn’t work. Animal puts head into bottom of door and the rings go up
