I very much agree.
Genexus is so dam good its my favorite album from them. Some people find the clean tracks corny but I think they are so atmospheric and powerful. All the tracks speak to me and I can't describe how the last track, anodized and dielectric make me feel. I can go on and on but this Genexus is just the best.

The "clean" tracks, the ones you mentioned along with Regenerate and Enhanced Reality (bonus), are the best on there.
Regenerate is FF's 5 most popular track on streaming. That shows how much people liked Genexus.
Its a masterpiece most of their work is this good but i think gen,obs,dem,aggression,digimortal,soul of are classics. I like all their work and I love the remix albums 2.
To me Demanufacture and Digimortal are bunk buddies, you can add them both into a playlist and hit shuffle and it's seamless, obsolete just felt so different you could imagine it came after Digimortal if you were to place them in order first time listening and with no prior knowledge of the band or discography.

I can't give a full ranking, because I haven't heard the last couple records. But I'm wanting to go back and check em out.

Mechanize is my favorite album too. An absolute pummeling from beginning to end. Masterpiece. Demanufacture and Aggression Continuum are a close #2 and #3.
I did not listen to their new album yet so I don't know where it would go on my list. But I appreciate to see Archetype higher on your list. I definitly need to go back to Genexus because It was The Industrialist part 2 for me (or just more of the same witch it's not such a bad thing). I think Mechanize is a good choice at number one !

Dude, you can't go wrong with Fear Factory. Obsolete is my favorite just because it was my introduction to the band. Transgression did not live up to the rest of their work but has its moments. All the others kick equal amounts of ass so I couldn't really rank them tbh.😛 Curious to know what band you played in that open for them? Can I hear your music anywhere? Sweet list! Cheers!👍

Than you for your ranking. I highly appreciate lists about FF that a) deviate from the usual default setting and b) realize the genius that is Mechanize.
Here's mine:
1. Mechanize 10/10 (Godlike, drumming, production, songs, just breathtaking and super-consistent)
2. Demanufacture 9.5/10 (Unbeatable in terms of influence on Metal and innovation, but beatable in songs, first half is pure genius, but second half is a bit weaker)
3. Obsolete 9/10 (Broad palette of styles that work really good together, very experimental)
4. Aggression Continuum 9/10 (Better than Obsolete in the chorus-departement, but not as diverse, all hits, but overall a bit too samish)
5. Genexus 8.5/10 (Production lacks a bit of bottom end, but strong songs)
6. Digimortal 8/10 (FF at its most simple and groove-ish, great production and synths)
7. Transgression 8/10 (Enjoy this way more than most, production is a bit thin and unfinished, but great experimental record, bonus tracks even better)
8. Archetype 7/10 (Amazing chorusses and some perfect songs, but sounds too much like a demo, Fulber is missed)
9. The Industrialist 6/10 (Drum computer sounds cheap, esp. after Hoglan, first half is good, second half is mediocre, ending is even bad)
10. SOANM 6/10 (An immature version of the band, too long, and I'm not that big on Death Metal. I like the four hits)
At least My tastes change a Lot but depending My emotions or something but My top 10 is

I almost unsubscribed after seeing your placement of Demanufacture! Kidding aside, an interesting ranking. I grew up listening to the band so pretty much every album up until Mechanize has that nostalgia factor for me. I can’t really connect with anything released after that record so they’re all pretty interchangeable, but here’s my top 5:

I was in high school when Demanufacture came out and it hit like an atom bomb. Just really unique compared to what was going on in metal at the time. I stopped paying attention after Obsolete but I've recently started revisiting the back catalog.
No hate for where you placed Demanufacture. You're younger and came up with "newer" FF. It's all good.
Eh I just kinda explored fear Factory as I went through. A few songs here and there lol not until a couple years ago did I listen to full albums by them other than obsolete and genexus

Just finished their discography, loved every album! The post reunion albums are basically all doom music, but i love them just as much.

2. The Industrialist (incredibly underrated, such a banger through and through even though the last 2 songs are kind of fillery)

6. Archetype (has some of ff’s best songs like slave labor drones and tt but kind of inconsistent)

Demanufacture was/is truly exciting when it dropped and self bias resistor/zero signal are truly classic FF songs but all in all I don’t care for the rest of the album.
Obsolete and Aggression Continuum are their best IMO because they have so many damn good songs.
Mechanize (brutal) and Genexus (classic FF sound with more relaxed BCB crooning) round out the best of list for me.
Cool to hear your opinion, you do cool vids.
Fun fact: Burton’s voice never sounded better live on the Archetype tour supporting Lamb of God.

Transgression, I thought, was pretty decent. But yeah, it sounded like it was rushed. Archetype is one of my favorites too.
Soul of a New Machine is ranked so low because you are young AF. Back in 1992 this album was the real shit. Heavy grindcore and death metal stuff was really popular back then, and Fear Factory delivered something that was just simply better than anything else. Easily my favourite album till today.
It’s ranked low because although I really like it… it’s not what I go to Fear Factory for but… I’m pretty sure I explained that in the video

..I found them around the time of The Industrialist's release, and I find that album full of bangers - especially the opening track is arguably the strongest opener imo.
And just listen to how heavy God Eater is, or the sharp riffs on Depraved Mind Murder, followed by the VERY "industrial" chorus, then the heavy middle section (2:19-3:21).
I can't really find a problem with the snare sample, tbh.
Hell yeah the mechanize and genexus love is awesome! Also I agree the industrialist is super solid!

I don't hate Transgression, but yeah still on the bottom of my "favourite." The album was rushed and they had to record 2 covers to make quota. That is why they dropped their label.
I always think people will rate fear factory differently on what they like out of it people are going to rank mechanize higher if they like the shredding part of fear factory but other people will like the atmosphere of fear factory such as myself will rank albums like obsolete

Genexus 9/10. Yes it is my least favorite, Most people rate it in their top 3. This is the only Fear Factory album where I don't like a few tracks lol. Still a 9/10 so an A lol. Every album is A Masterpiece pretty much.

Demanufacture is a killer record but it’s not their best because 2 of the tracks closer to the end have unlistenable badly sung vocals in their choruses.
Mechanize is a no skip record. It’s my favourite of theirs, closely followed by Obsolete!
The pain of knowing noone enjoys soul of a new machine as much as I do.
I reeeally like it, but it’s so different I don’t know where to place it lol

Obsolete has no energy to me or flow. I'd probably rank it around the middle as well but I really can not agree on the comparison with Demanufacture which has such a focused rage/riff intensity about it. I've never understood the hype around it and bought it the day it came out. One of my top album let downs ever. Long live Archetype!

Wow, Obsolete at #5 and Demanufacture at #4?! I agree, pretty controversial but everyone likes what they like and you're not "wrong" cause it's your opinion. For instance, I think Obsolete is their best album and NOT Demanufacture. Most people disagree with me annnnnd I don't care haha. Your list is very different from mine but that's what makes music fun. Genexus is good, but IMO it is absolutely not better than Obsolete, Demanufacture, or even Agression Continuum. I stuck around for the whole thing even if we don't agree cause in the end, you're still a FF fan and that's awesome.

Transgression is better than Mechanize and The Industrialist. Yea, I said it. Those two albums are too cookie cutter modern Djent. At least Transgression tried new things.
