Don't know how long you have been out there doing you thing. Be smart. I helped a guy build a ranch out in NM in the late 70's early 80's. I built all of his corals, and planed two sections for center pivots, then built the center pivots. I warned him to stop there because he was 100% dependent on man, meaning nothing was going to grow without money feeding the meter. He kept building out. Ended up loosing his ass and took a lot of people with him. Man can not force is will on the land long term. I'm 4th generation rancher farmer. At one point we had ranches in NE, WY, and NM. When I took over NM was the first to go. If I had it to do over I'd never operate a farm that required irrigation. Supplemental water is one thing, but dependent is something completely different.

We still count on rain fall and are only providing supplemental as needed. However, we are in farming country and pumping is a large part of farming.

Must have been doing something wrong. Because I won’t waste my time dry farming. Irrigation plus a lot of alfalfa is what pays my bills. The cattle pay the property taxes and electricity. If I don’t irrigate then I’m out

Killin me. If you insist on opening a joint up you have to grease the o-ring. That's the preferred method to keep it in place while you put it back together. You can beat the clamp back on... or simply wiggle the joint while applying tension to the clamp. Wiggle on the x plane... then the y plane or go in a circle. I know you didn't ask my opinion.. but f side roll sprinklers. They are a colossal pain in the ass. Keep them staked down when not in use. Mother nature loves to turn them into pretzels kinking pipes in the process.

Understand, I did end up putting grease on them
