Man, you can really feel Max’s absence. Whenever I watch a video from Hercules candies I feel that there will always be a tugging feeling that something is missing well that’s because Max is actually truly gone from the store :(

what is it you miss about him? the Hercules family are great to watch as a whole, they have great personalities and they're funny, but i can't remember ever laughing at anything Max said or done, he seemed quiet and just got on with the work, i just never understood why so much focus was put on him by viewers so maybe you can explain?

How do you make hard candy with a chewy centre? Also have your heard of Kopp kops? Sugar coated hard candy with a chewy centre. Specifically aniseed/liquorice. Very tasty 😋
We ordered some of this spicy candy. It was a big hit for all in the family! My favorite were the flavors with tajin. My son, who I purchased them for, thought the flavors combined with jalapeno were good. He loves spicy things and said they weren't very spicy but tasted good with a little kick.
The additional acids in the chili blend likely caused the odd texture. I’ve tried using the same kind of spice mix in homemade nut brittle before and I had the same problem where it seems to chemically alter the candy. Perhaps if you added bicarbonate to balance the Ph a bit it may help. But better would likely be to use plain chili powder, citrus oils, and then just enough citric acid to get the tang you’re looking for. Just an idea 🤷
I don't eat sugar but have been watching you make sugar delights since you were a little channel... Thanks for being you and always tasting it for me..

I am from south Texas from McAllen tx. For reference about 45 min drive north from Elon Musks Star Base where he is building his starship. Also 30 min drive north from Progereso Mexico. It is nice to see y’all make a Mexican candy or southern style candy. My favorite is tajin watermelon and trechas watermelon with the spice coming in first then ends off sweet. Other then tajin I’d love for y’all to use trechas on candy. And if you use tajin on your fruit in general you will love trechas on fruit. I am sure you can find it at Walmart. And if you haven’t heard or try chamoy gummy bears or worms you should look it up, and try it. It’s a Mexican staple. You will love it. I’ve learned when you try new flavors, or any new food you have to enjoy the food/candy for what it is and where it comes from instead of saying I don’t like it cause it’s not what I’m used to. People need to learn to try new things for what they are and appreciate it. Y’all are doing amazing I’d like to see more of this type of candy or trechas, and chamoy.

If your parcel came from Sydney or Melbourne ot will take longer at the moment as there are a build up of parcels through so much online ordering during the lockdowns. Tell Steve to have savoury pancakes. You could put vegan bacon and vegan cheese on top. Savoury are nice for a change. I don't put sugar in my savoury pancake batter. I put Himalayan salt and Black pepper 😁

Mexican chili candies are the best. So are most of their candy that have some spice to it.
You should try the Tamalitoz brand. They have Cucumber, Mango, even Tamarind. Reminds me of childhood.

Have you guys tried rolling the candy in tajin instead of mixing it in to the batch? That's how traditional Mexican candy does it with hard candies.

I am from south Texas from McAllen tx. For reference about 45 min drive north from Elon Musks Star Base where he is building his starship. Also 30 min drive north from Progereso Mexico. It is nice to see y’all make a Mexican candy or southern style candy. My favorite is tajin watermelon and trechas watermelon with the spice coming in first then ends off sweet. Other then tajin I’d love for y’all to use trechas on candy. And if you use tajin on your fruit in general you will love trechas on fruit. I am sure you can find it at Walmart. And if you haven’t heard or try chamoy gummy bears or worms you should look it up, and try it. It’s a Mexican staple. You will love it. I’ve learned when you try new flavors, or any new food you have to enjoy the food/candy for what it is and where it comes from instead of saying I don’t like it cause it’s not what I’m used to. People need to learn to try new things for what they are and appreciate it. Y’all are doing amazing I’d like to see more of this type of candy or trechas, and chamoy.

But not going to happen. They pretty much made buying from countries outside the EU impossible.

Tell Steve to have savoury pancakes. You could put vegan bacon and vegan cheese on top. Savoury are nice for a change. I don't put sugar in my savoury pancake batter. I put Himalayan salt and Black pepper 😁
