I was initially of the opinion I don't need sunscreen.. that was true as long as I was living in India.. but when I faced the summer in Europe, I get white patches on my face.. sunscreen really prevents that from happening.. so u need to use it when the sun is damaging your skin.
I don't put sunscreen in my foot and there is significant difference between my foot and leg above the ankle. We need some type of protection against sun rays.
I don't understand why people haven't normalized the use of sunglasses.. its extremely useful against sun and also against dust which is quite common thanks to never ending constructions everywhere

So apparently there's a thing called "UV index" which you can know from your weather app. If it's more than 3 you have to do sun protection. Not just a sunscreen but other physical barriers like umbrella or helmets. But since we can't be consistent with the weather updates, it's advised to wear a sunscreen everyday to make it a habit so you don't get sun damage
Every phone has a weather app...that weather app has uv index...see that for your living/working area...if that's less than 4 you don't need it...4-7, it will be beneficial to apply...above 7 you absolutely need it....eg: east part of the country barely croses 7 so it's fine...on the other hand south is almost always above 7( bangalore hovers around 10-13) so you definitely need it there..

Something is not right.. there are people like me who rarely face sunshine during the day.. but the skin is damaged or some small issue exists. I think it relates to our health, what we eat, our sleep and gut health. Sunscreen is a bandaid.. real fix is managing ur stress, food, sugar levels, water intake, body immunity and sleep for majority of the skin issues.

Placing cucumber slices on the face for 1 hour at home is better than sunsceen.....it worked for me....I played tennis in hot summer for three months......after that my facial skin got really bad.....after one week of using cucumber daily made my skin clear all the acne, pigmentation and sunburn........

I would say it depends place to place . I have had terrible tans in some cities , while back in my hometown where harsh sunlight is not common , my tan is normal . Sunscreens do help skin that are not genetically gifted or with low melanin.

That's not why uv index is unreliable. Uv index only measures uvb. Not UVA. Uva also damages skin.
In humid hot weather, sun protection is necessarily needed. I have experienced a lot of sunburns and damages due to sun exposure 😢😢😢

I am facing so many problems with sunrays and I used more than 15 sunscreen from past 7 years everytime i fails because every sunscreen gives me bad experience when ever I use sunscreen my skin bacames more sensitive and now my face totally damaged I am not using any sunscreen at present and my skin now better then earler I have liteches planes pigmentation and the only remedy is i must apply sunscreen but now I am not using any sunscreen now my skin better so please follow your skin how it's reaction i blindly follow doctors
Not familiar with that condition. But you could be allergic to an ingredient in the sunscreen

I'm from hyd and I hv nodular acne and hyperpigmentation my doctor asked not to use suncreen 😢 . I hv a habit of using it and not wearing a suncreen doesn't feel nice donno y😅

Kya bakwaas, sandalwood pulp, sandalwood Lepa and turmeric is more than enough. Tanning will just make my skin yellow and brown from white and I have no issues with that. For God's sake, let us breathe, we are not Americans and Koreans with all kinds of skin treatments and toning and all. So hectic!

It's ayurvedic and it works perfectly and sandalwood is a natural protector from UV rays so we have used that since ancient times when sunscreens didn't exist. I say specifically for sandalwood pulp of pure Indian origin. Red sandalwood pulp is even better.

Go to a new doctor then. Sunscreen should be applied to sun exposed areas. Thick weave fabrics can help protect from the sun, as well as shade, sunglasses, hat, long sleeves, pants. Burqa and niqab ftw
