As a brother in the hood.. this is very unexpected and I didn't know I needed this. And I thank God I watched this in its entirety. And I thank yall brothas for creating a platform for us. Again... thank you from me to the whole 85 South crew. God bless. 🙏🏽
I am so proud of DC. Forreal. He holds so much wisdom and definitely knows, as well as understands Gods word. I pray that God continues to reveal himself to all these brothers in a way they cannot deny. Also want to commend TY for being a true leader and allowing these men to be who they are. He just doesn’t understand what he allowed God to do in this moment.
Yeah except for Karlous and DC cursing talking about "F***ing, pussy, smoking weed and cursing all over the place with a man of GOD in the house, other than that it was a good episode.
I love that Rev. Tye allowed them to be themselves. He didn’t say “y’all can’t smoke around me cause I’m a pastor” . We need more pastors like this. To be able to reach the people who need to here this, you have to go to the places they are. 85 South is not successful just cause these men are talented, it’s because they keep God first. Much love from a black truck driver wit internet in his truck
I think what Karlous was doing went over a lot of people’s heads. He’s clearly a believer but he was keeping the convo going by asking all The tough questions and bringing up the arguments that people try to use about the Bible. Overall amazing episode‼️🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
My eyes dang near popped out when I saw that you guys had Tye Tribbett! As a PK, I grew up in an extremely sheltered/traditional household. Listening to Tye Tribbett and watching him be his young authentic self in the midst of doing the work of the Lord helped me break out of the mold placed upon me as a PK. He encouraged me to develop my own relationship with God in my own way. Thank You for this episode 85 South! 😊 Also, good job Tye in standing your ground against Lous!
Same!!! Everything even to the pk! I couldnt have said it better! Lous was on one in this episode but Tye didn’t back down! Everybody was still respectful and listened to the others point. I loved every minute of it!
DC proved not just where he is mentally, but also spirituallly. There was a moment where his wisdom of the word put Karlous harmless assault on hush-mouth, and Tye absolutely soaked it in. I loved this episode!
Thank yall for this episode. I grew up on Tye Tribbett, growing up in church, and he has always been the way he shows himself now. When I seen yall did one with him, I instantly clicked. Thank yall man again. Y'all really are a bright light in entertainment, not just "black entertainment" 💯
I love this with Tye Tribett!! He said everybody ain’t gonna come to church so guess what I’ll come to y’all! Beautiful deep conversation but so light & refreshing & knowledgeable! God bless everyone!!
When Culture & Kingdom LINK UP🔥 This episode was sooooooo groundbreaking and powerful! I pray every person watching this episode draws closer to God. I cried when Tye prayed because I felt his authenticity! Y’all too real for this episode FRFR💯
Great episode! I agree 😁 Hey Tavia ☺️ it’s Sidney from Morgan Park Pentecostal Church ⛪️ Dorothy’s friend 🤍 What are the odds that I’d come across your UA-cam comment lol I hope all is well 🥰 -Sidney V.
Aye as a church baby and a hood baby, I teared up and just got wide eyed when I saw this junt say Tye Tribbett is in the Trap ya feel me! I could not stop smiling whole episode! Aye yall Legendury 🤣🤣fa this one 85 SOUTH !! This man is a Legend in the Music world not just the impact of his Gospel hits but he has produced on secular songs and done background vocals on billion dollar hits!! This was AMAZING! Thank yall 85 South cause yall always get a lil churchy so this was just great vibes man!💯
For real when you actually study and break it down(takes a minute) lol the Bible is teaching you and giving you the road map to loving life. The Bible is a love letter to us.
I love this episode so bad . They were able to be themselves and not have to filter themselves because of who was on the show . At first it seems they were trying to hold back but Tye made them feel comfortable and they started to just slip . Lol 😂it’s good. Shows people can be different and be in a room and have a conversation and learn from each other without the judgement .
My uncle is a pastor but he once was in the street change his life around. He knows I’m his “nephew” and when we have convos he just talk to me about life in general as my uncle not a pastor but I respect him more for that. I also loved this episode
Man I wish Chico Bean was on! TYE gotta come back with the full cast, This episode touched my heart and for those irritated by Karlous trust me them questions gone save souls! You don’t think those who don’t know God and even those who do know God don’t have questions 🧐 Everything works for the good of the Lord!
This is what I’m talking about. Jesus wasn’t in no brick and mortar, stained glasses, suit and tie, reaching people. He met them right where they were at. This is real conversation. Not pushing religion but going at it from a spiritual humanity perspective. Loved this!!!!
By watching his episode I could tell that Tye Tribbett was ministering to those brothers while they was interviewing him and I could tell that this interview impacted their lives

I love this !! I’m happy Carlos came with those hard questions bc it’s helping somebody who was doubting God . Or someone who don’t know God and desire to know so in order start you have to start somewhere you have to come from somewhere. You can’t always wait for them to come to you, you have to meet them where they at and sometimes you gotta go down to the ghetto to reach the people who need a word on the inside so I appreciate Tye Tribbett coming to the 85 south show sit in the trap because he’s setting the tone and he’s starting a movement little do we know.
Got to say, Tye Tribbett explained things so clearly and well in the episode. Showed that we can ask and wonder a million what if questions , but there are some that can be answered. Loved this episode💯
Thank y’all so much for this episode. As a Christian, it’s hard to not feel ashamed when you’re not following the thus thous and those. Stay blessed my brothers. Pray that God allows me to meet y’all one day. I’m not just a fan of you guys collectively but each of you all individually.
The episode I didn’t know I needed 🙌🏽 love how objective Karlous is. Love how Tye is non judgmental and DC knowing the book is top tier. Shoutout to Clayton because he’s Clayton 😊
I don't know why, but when I read this, I was like... yup this one! I was not nowhere near ready, but I know exactly what you mean by "The Episode I didn't know I needed! Straight genuine!
This was a good episode! It was like ghetto Bible study! I love a little comedy with my Word! This episode WILL be a blessing to someone who doesn't know Jesus. Karlous....great interviewer! Love y'all
So happy to see so many people were helped by this video. I love it when the gospel is taught in nontraditional settings and reaches individuals who may not be in a church...
This was so AMAZING! That prayer at the end though! Phew! God Bless your son and servant Pastor Tye with an overflow of You! In Jesus name. So let it be!
Back in 2006 I had a devastating accident that crushed my heart my family decided to take me to Church one Sunday the Choir sung his song “Everything” it sent a Spirit through my soul that brought me to tears. Thank you for that Song Mr Tribbett
Thank y’all so much for this episode. It was a wonderful discussion about life, the Bible, good, and bad. Ways to better yourself, and what to look out for. I feel like this was the episode I needed at this point in my life to encourage me to go pick up my bible, study more, and to try harder to be a better person. Thank you so much, and I hope God blesses all of us.
And this is what ministry is all about!! Meeting people where they are (streets, trap, club, park ect..)and showing them the love of Christ. No judgement. Just love!! Revealing how amazing the love of Jesus Christ is to them. Great job man of God!! Pastor Tye Tribbett!!
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Legendary episode. Perfect way to open up the dialogue and meet people where they at. This podcast is rated number 1 for black people who don't make it to church all the time but listen to gospel music when times get hard. This episode is for the people that Rev Future was talking about when he said " Fuk what you heard, God blessin' all the trap niggas"
I enjoyed every BIT OF THIS!!!!! Lord continue to bless this Podcast and everyone who's a part of it and cones to it in Jeaus name Amen!!!! Thank you Tye for being the man of God and your honesty because those who don't believe will believe. You represented God RIGHT.
Whoever's reading this, i pray that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
my grandma on my dad’s side (rest in peace) was literally the only person in my fam that used to take me to church & prince of egypt was like the only movie we could watch with her. i seen it like a million times. wow! that’s so cool he was a part of it ♥️ s/o to channel 85 for this episode and for putting me on. he dropped so many gems without sounding preachy.. i hate that 🤣 now i know who tye is i’m bouta follow him everywhere.
The judgement that I was raised on couldn’t believe Tye was on this episode. But the conviction and humility that I have NOW made me watch and see and I can’t take God and y’all enough for this. EVERYBODY needs bonds and relationships like this. With people who are willing to listen and learn and not be judged with their life. That judgement comes for GOD and only Him
This is a awesome conversation!! I commend all the kings having time together to communicate without judgement but open to hearing our issues and allowing the best to come to the surface of our being!! God bless these that aren’t scared to confront. Thank God for Pastor Tye
I forgot to add this was very Powerful…I normally don’t do the traditional prayer praying but when he said bow your heads I immediately without thought went into prayer! This was needed for so many💞🫶🏾 if we can all be like this 💪🏾👏🏾✊🏾Thanks Crew for always keeping it 💯 respecting one another views and really listening to one another. Karlous you never fail us with the questions that most of us think and feel to guilty to say it out loud. This can together Divinely in Divine timing which is infinite! Definitely saving this episode 💞❣️
Tye Tribbett: My heart bleeds for relationships now because everyone is about themselves, everyone has their list of how your suppose to be, and if you don't meet the criteria, people are just disposable to people. man love don't exist no more , not that real thing anymore. 💯💯
GREAT EPISODE. THE CHURCH AND THIS GENERATION NEEDS TO LEARN, UNLEARN, RELEARN EACH OTHER. THIS WAS MUCH NEEDED FOR THE CULTURE, COMMUNITY AND OVERALL HUMANITY. ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.
Thank you, Tye for representing Christ. Thanks to 85 South for this episode. I was able to watch with my 25-year-old son and have a healthy dialogue and live for Christ. We both needed to see that the younger generation can still live and represent Christ and that you don't have to be sinless but sin less with the help of our God. As an older Christian woman, I wouldn't normally watch this podcast but my son told me about it because he was surprised to see Tye Tribbett. He grew up on Tye Tribbett and G.A. and that's something that we both share....the love for music (because I and my husband are musicians) and love for God. Even though I grew up on "choir" music and am a church baby, Tye's music and message resonated more with my son and cousins. He's finding his way in life and I understand that because I had to do the same at his age but this episode was a "God-thing" for sure. Job well done!
DC grew up in church but this shows he doesn’t just live religion he has a real relationship with God . I cuss when I pray not out of disrespect but out of full vulnerability “God this is how I feel “ so DC being able to be in his element naturally and have a relationship with God spiritually is beautiful to watch
Such a great episode, and I'm not finished watching yet. Growing up singing all of Tye Tribbett's songs, I loved this so much. He was definitely dropping knowledge and challenging thought processes. You guys are helping people. For real.
Thank yall for having Tye AND thank you for challenging him. These are the honest conversations we need to have because the church (as an entity) typically avoids taboo conversation. Taboo or not is real life and it's really important to discuss
Inlightning episode!! Karlous kinda altered the energy and vibe a lil bit in this one! DC need his flowers now, he’s a longevitive legend in the making!!
Wow I smiled the entire interview !!! I knew this interview was powerful when Clayton said your the first person who prayed for us and we pray before every show 🙏🏽 I agree more increase for this platform I've been watching & subscribed since I moved to Ga 3 years ago & the growth is amazing !!!! Keep it up y'all I loved the visuals at the end & the commentary #beautiful
Y’all don’t know how much this episode helped my way of thinking as a black man. I appreciate the tough topics. Black men need more conversations like this. Very insightful. 💯💯💯. This podcast for the real niggas
Tye good! I got frustrated with some of these questions from Karlous... gahleee....I learned alot on how to handle these types of questions... "You try H20 and get water, you believe it. I tried God, and I believe it!" Yesss!! ❤🔥
Wait a minute DC this young man never ceases to amaze me. I know he's a PK but come on DC quote this scriptures, break em, down & then give us context!!
Thank God for this episode. I definitely needed it for my life. I was contemplating suicide now I’m ready to be better do better and honor God with my living. Thank you Los, DC, Clayton, Jon, and Tye.
Glad you're staying in the fight with us. I'm praying for you. Like it was said in the podcast Everybody is here for a purpose...to help someone or something else. Glad they were here to help you, and glad you were here to help others with your testimony. Your comment could encourage someone else to not give up.
Love the conversation on this episode. It's awesome to see how the conversation gets deeper... "high level". We need an outlet like this that's not filtered to where the guests feel uncomfortable to speak on their connection with our great creator or other issues that should be discussed. Karlous really asks great questions that the supporters want to kw on every episode. Need to tour in Austin Texas.... come on yall go to Dallas and Houston... we want yall show us love too. ❤️
This was needed and unorthodox!! I loved and enjoyed the conversation and the engagement!! This is the podcast for church folks and street niggas 🤣Shoutout to DC !! I see the GROWTH & MATURITY!! Stand up Kings 🤴🏿& let the church say AMEN🙏🏾
This was everything 😍🙌🏽 Tye is the goat for this!!! He’s very transparent and in tune with this generation without judging them and he’s a pastor 🤯 this is awesome and very rare!!! This is how you reach the people and draw them to Christ 👏🏽💪🏽
Tye did his tang... he preached without being religious... he spoke when he needed to speak.... he was quiet and listened without being judgemental when he needed to be... the other guys could speak freely without feeling judged.... I learned a lot... I laughed a lot. I betcha' eveybody googling tye now... This was Amazing.
Especially while they had weed
Hearing a word with out feeling judged or cut is not preaching it’s flattering, compromising.
I love Tye. I tell my kids, Preach Jesus, Use words if necessary.
Y they cut em off tho
He really had no room to judge. Especially considering he cheated on his wife with another man’s wife.
As a brother in the hood.. this is very unexpected and I didn't know I needed this. And I thank God I watched this in its entirety. And I thank yall brothas for creating a platform for us. Again... thank you from me to the whole 85 South crew. God bless. 🙏🏽

When I saw Tye Tribbett I clicked so fast!!! A gospel legend. I grew up on him. So unexpected but so necessary as you said for US! 🫶🏾
Praise him fam🙏🏽

Omg yes! It’s so important to meet ppl where they are & for both parties to be respectful.
That's dope that you got internet in the truck
Keeping God first is a lot more than inviting a pastor and claiming to be a Christian. You'll know a tree by its fruit

Wat song..right..I love that one..as it touches me deep
Thank y’all so much for this episode. It was a wonderful discussion about life, the Bible, good, and bad. Ways to better yourself, and what to look out for. I feel like this was the episode I needed at this point in my life to encourage me to go pick up my bible, study more, and to try harder to be a better person. Thank you so much, and I hope God blesses all of us.
Let’s Go Tye ! Bring Jesus to the trap.
And this is what ministry is all about!! Meeting people where they are (streets, trap, club, park ect..)and showing them the love of Christ. No judgement. Just love!! Revealing how amazing the love of Jesus Christ is to them. Great job man of God!! Pastor Tye Tribbett!!
DC knowing his bible and being able to articulate his thoughts about it was great. Big love to Ty !
Love this episode! Pure blackness, great energy, education on all sides (without overly proving a point), and true passion!!!!
Who overly proved a point?
@@donnyouttheway4091 she said “without “
DC snapped on this episode. Hats off to him
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.
Amen
Back at ya ✊️🤝
Thank you... I truly respect the blessings 🙌... I needed to see that.
Thank you, same to you 🙏🏾💞
DC hit me because I’m the same way. “I don’t even like people!” 😂😂😂❤
my grandma on my dad’s side (rest in peace) was literally the only person in my fam that used to take me to church & prince of egypt was like the only movie we could watch with her. i seen it like a million times. wow! that’s so cool he was a part of it ♥️
s/o to channel 85 for this episode and for putting me on. he dropped so many gems without sounding preachy.. i hate that 🤣
now i know who tye is i’m bouta follow him everywhere.
Watching this episode helped to renew my faith for sure. Thank y’all and TYE (huge fan) for this!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It's uplifting not to only see this episode, but also reading the comments and how many people are willing to receive this message 💯
DC is on his ish on this episode preach my brother Fly
I forgot to add this was very Powerful…I normally don’t do the traditional prayer praying but when he said bow your heads I immediately without thought went into prayer! This was needed for so many💞🫶🏾 if we can all be like this 💪🏾👏🏾✊🏾Thanks Crew for always keeping it 💯 respecting one another views and really listening to one another. Karlous you never fail us with the questions that most of us think and feel to guilty to say it out loud. This can together Divinely in Divine timing which is infinite! Definitely saving this episode 💞❣️
I like how they pay respects to the guests that don’t smoke. Very classy fellas 🤙🏽🤝🏽🤝🏽💯💯
Mind Xpansion Exactly
Tye Tribbett: My heart bleeds for relationships now because everyone is about themselves, everyone has their list of how your suppose to be, and if you don't meet the criteria, people are just disposable to people. man love don't exist no more , not that real thing anymore. 💯💯
I felt this on every level possible
@@valariegaines8211 yeasss! Sad man 😕
Tye’s music has gotten me through so much in my life he is hands down my favorite gospel artist. Been real since he came out
GREAT EPISODE. THE CHURCH AND THIS GENERATION NEEDS TO LEARN, UNLEARN, RELEARN EACH OTHER. THIS WAS MUCH NEEDED FOR THE CULTURE, COMMUNITY AND OVERALL HUMANITY. ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD.
Returning to this after tragedy. Realizing this episode will always be relevant. God reveals. Praying hard for DC and his family.
This came out last year before tragedy! Correction
I love the energy he brought, gives Karlous and dem a break from having to carry the whole interview
This is one of the best episodes. I love the dialogue!!!! The honesty, transparency and being everyone’s self!!!!!
Tye broke down the christian life SO well. This gave me hope
I would loooooove to see a Verzuz with Tye and Deitrick Haddon. The energy would be crazy
Omggg Yess... they are amazing performers..and MOG...
They both have adhd I think lol
Facts!!!
Yoooooo, that’s the ONE right there! You’re on to something!
It would blow up the internet 💥
Glad to see Ty in the trap! His honesty is refreshing. You can hear the church boy in DC come out in this episode.
love love love this && DC i love when you speak the word of God and when u pray i love it and u can still be funny Great episode
He was funny and right talking about God zapping us out of here with the intense "You're Outta There" head motion!!!
This was a DOPE episode! I LOVE it! When Kingdom meets the trap, ANYTHING can happen! 🔥🔥
I love the raw, realness and revelation that came with this conversation! I love that tye can still be tye amongst differences
This video show how mature and knowledgeable DC Young Fly is… A lot of people need to see this… Because like me he understanding what’s what
I agree. Tye and DC broke down things in a way that had me like 🤔. As a believer I feel like I explain some things about God easier now
DC grew up in church but this shows he doesn’t just live religion he has a real relationship with God .
I agree
He was listening to respond rather than to understand
Agreed
I think he was speaking for those of us who don't share this belief 🤷🏽♀️
@@miam3282 very true, but his approach to it was a little abrasive
Tye's concerts be liiiiittttt, from beginning to end!!! He starts with a shout!!!!
The prayer at the end l felt that Pastor Tye is so anointed. He is reaching the sinner saved by grace.
Tyeeee Tribbet In The Trap ICONIC 🙃💜🥹
Wow I smiled the entire interview !!! I knew this interview was powerful when Clayton said your the first person who prayed for us and we pray before every show 🙏🏽 I agree more increase for this platform I've been watching & subscribed since I moved to Ga 3 years ago & the growth is amazing !!!! Keep it up y'all
I loved the visuals at the end & the commentary #beautiful
Thank you Los, DC, Clayton, Jon, and Tye.
i hope you’re having a better day today. i appreciate you still being here and willing to take a leap of faith.💕
Glad you're staying in the fight with us. I'm praying for you. Like it was said in the podcast Everybody is here for a purpose...to help someone or something else. Glad they were here to help you, and glad you were here to help others with your testimony. Your comment could encourage someone else to not give up.
❤️💪🏾🙏🏾
Dc its a history book a law book and a Grimoire to invoke the spirit … blessings onto you all.
