I found out about Mr Little Jeans a handful of years ago. But ever since I found it, I've listened to it on repeat consecutively. This song is the epitome of a song that I can never get tired of. This is the kind of song I'll share with my kids too. Its so beautiful, an enchanting rhythm with beautifully made hypnotic beats.

This reminds me of my freshman year of college. Walking out my dorm, putting on headphones, walking to class as I see everybody just pass me by living their own lives as I am wrapped into the beauty of this wonderful music. I step into my first class and my journey with this beautiful music has came to a brief end as class begins. I sit in my chair day dreaming about being on a beautiful beach with the sun shinning, crystal clear water, and a cool breeze blowing. Class ends and I am back into the comforting hands of this music as I walk to my next class to meet up with friends. Damn I miss that year of college. Times were so much easier.

my thoughts exactly the first time I saw it, I was like WTF. but this time I felt the connection.
The idea of a trophy truck blasting. through the desert constantly on the brink of disaster with no one for a hundred miles is serene. there's peace and serenity of the empty desert countered by the truck absolutely shredding the road up, for what reason? yes, to win a race in reality but in this video it's representative of an inner battle for the driver. Hauling ass in a barren landscape devoid of humanity, franticAlly trying to outrun the demons that torture his soul, with nothing but god as his witness. he could crash at any moment, and in the end he does.
And of course there is a hot chick dancing, which on a deeper level reminds us that hot chicks dancing are hot.

And the visuals for the video are absolutely breathtaking on so many levels: the natural scenery, the sexy woman ( Getting a pair of pants like those is definitely on my bucket list!) dancing in such a spacious environment, the freedom and fun of pushing the limits on an extreme drive through the desert for an entire day! Spectacular! And did we mention the music? Enough said! I would have given it an award.

I always try to treat covers as original songs so that I can fully appreciate both the original and any covers. In this case, I find the original lyrically beautiful, and this cover is just freaking awesome as a more musically driven song. I don't see anything wrong with either version.
