Lmao the people that actually want mop talents instead of df talents are insane. This is honestly one of the best things that has ever happened in wow, especially in recent years. I legit hope they do this with all expansions. This could literally take a shit expansion like WoD or BfA and actually make it into a fun experience for the people that missed it + give u a lot of collectibles + give you max level characters you can play on after the event with actual good gear. Then imagine they do it for a god tier expansion like Legion. I am literally praying they make this for legion. It is also awesome theres no AH involved everything is just contained in the MOP timeline.
Completely agree. Legion is the main one I would love this for. It was one of the only expansions I didn't play that much, and having an accelerated artifact grind for like 3 months would be so fun. Plus Legion zones still look amazing, and it was one of the expansions I remember where it seemed like Blizzard really stepped up their game.

I actually missed out on mop, so I really don't mind making a toon to power level to see what it's like to raid mop, with a twist!

Every time I come back to WoW it feels like I'm enrolling into a 20+ year university where every patch is a another semester where you re-do all the work from the last semester over and over. but THIS? This feels like schools out and we goin to Six Flags baby!

Mana is for healing, whatever the spec, except arcane. Most hybrid can't heal more than 5-6 times before getting oom.
So happy the dev team is finally being creative. Hoping they use a lot of the info from these events to make the live servers more fun and better. Don't know how they'd add anything similar without it completely ruining the balance in PvP though.

No one cares about pvp anymore. The game shouldn't be restrained by a game mode less than 5% of people play.
@@Krulfar A lot of people care about PvP. If they didn't they wouldn't update it and add new changes and features to it every single patch. PvP literally has its own balancing. They wouldn't do that if they didn't care lol.
@@jayfaulkner2602 doing balance patches is super easy but ask yourself how many real resources have they spent in pvp in the past 6 years. All new arenas are simple, circle/square with a couple of pilars, and using assets that are already in the game and the last bg is from 6 years ago. No pvp events since I don't even remember also. And they are right to do so when only less than 5% of players do pvp

i was reminiscing about mop with one of my friends, couple of weeks later this gets announced. im actually really looking forward to this.
As a retail Andy this mode is a huge W, especially as someone who wasnt playing when MoP came out. I really wish they would've implemented MoP class designs, but even so this is fun, especially at a time when there isn't new content in retail.
I will definitely spend exponentially more time on this than Plunderstorm.

This event isnt supposed to be a long-form version of wow. If you take it from the perspective of giving certain players the following opportunities:
1. A chance to quickly experience the story of MoP first hand without the long form farming pains
2. A chance to farm cosmetics that you cant get
3. A different way to level an alt instead of the same way all the time.

I loved MoP and it’s my favourite expansion. I’ll wait until MoP classic is released.
It's a lot like SoD since you can Raid during leveling.
WoW is awesome this year; I'm having a fun and playing daily be it Retail, Classic, SoD, and now this too!!
It's the opposite. They literally split the entire player base and it's not rewarded to commit to any of the "modes". If anything, you start enjoying something while knowing it's literally not gonna last long lol

@@Jaybe8891 Yes but the difference is that new expansions used to feel like a new journey. Now it feels like a tease since you don't know if anything else comes around and soaks the player base. That's why the classic versions failed so far. You had the nostalgia effect in the beginning but then it was nothing even remotely comparably to their original versions.
I am playing WotLK right now on the most populated server and it's out of question that gameplay wise is so much inferior to retail. But then the queue times are even longer than on retail... No side wins here and it's beyond how my understanding how anyone can call this situation good. Imo there is only one sort of people who likes this situation and that's the people who want to see WoW die. Whiny casual minority killed the game by turning it into more and more casual clown fest, while re-playing "classic" parts of it, which are not even remotely what it was.

That's because it's tailored for a different pocket of players big enough for Blizzard to start on this path anyways. Now obviously it's not as big a fanbase as Retail so longer queues are expected but not unbearably (being a Classic HC player myself). Think you're missing the point here.

Personally this is a much better way to level to the current expansion rather than picking an old expansion and being expected to know what's happening. Having a streamlined experience using an existing expansion makes way more sense, it gets everyone doing the same thing too.

Why even have mana in game if you never go oom? Whats the point of it?

There are still ways to go OOM as a mage. Spellsteal, Blink, Arcane Intellect, and Remove Curse all have higher mana costs since they are non-rotational abilities. Spamming Spellsteal in PVP is the easiest way to go OOM.
You can go oom with certain spells that cost a lot of mana like spell steal or arcane explosion. But they made it that way cause melee have a lot more uptime so casters had to have something in return.
Some abilities, usually heals or utility, make you go oom. Normal rotation doesn't.
You never played high m+ or mythic raid?
How do you try this out? I don't see it on the PTR
It was only during the weekend, it's removed now. It releases in patch 10.2.7
Xar talking about mana....it's a resource for healers and they can certainly run out of it if they are pushed too hard/undergeared. Look at Mana as a resource more for Healers than anything else. For DPS they wanted mana to not be a concern as much as rotations/priorities.

PTR for it ended last night, speculation is another 5-6 weeks before the patch hits.
I cannot wait for MoP classic, gonna be great. But this is fun too. Would I prefer we had a 10.3? Yes and I am still butthurt we didn't and just got all of these little things, when might think we could have just put all of that labor into a full raid tier. Oh well.

Yes you just have to enable pvp.

Did he never notice his cape is legendary and he can use those threads of fate to upgrade it infinitely essentially as of ptr they have found no limit thus far. I have not heard him mention the cape or the threads or seen em use the threads and apply them to the cape. Just saying no one told em about the cape? Or do they just auto add the stat to the cape when you pick them up, and that’s why he isn’t mentioning it or does he just not know about it?

Retail has a lot of great things going for it, they just need to make some big tweaks while they have the attention of the vast player base here. For example, I got outran by a DK today, and I play Monk.

They don't expect an average player to play ALL the game modes they're releasing. They expect average players to have options and play what they want to play.
Can't imagine playing mop without vengeance/snapshots insane amount of abilities and fun specs

Plunderstorm is ending soon, and MoP Remix is starting right afterwards.

With plunderstorm they introduced something like an arcade with alternate game modes. Plunderstorm was one of those modes but far from the last hopefully.

I think its interesting, i'm glad its not a mop classic because then it means they won't do mop, but I think this also serves to gauge interest in mop classic after cata classic. I'm pretty much done with classic current stuff unless they start making improvements to cata, mop, etc and I'll just to stick to seasons. I think it may serve as a better version of chromie time leveling. Leveling in retail is so terrible, it actually pisses me off thinking of what a bad state and jumbled mess it became and there's no easy way to fix it with world scaling and all that This is a way to set the slate clean so people can level in one of these remixes, "experience" a full expansion in a remixed setting, and then move to current content. I don't even like retail, but I also like this idea because it's somewhat like a retail fresh server in a way. I've been wanting to see a fresh retail server to cater to classic players, no account wide collection stuff, no transmog, no cross realm play, no cross realm AH, maybe no RDF, maybe no level scaling, and would be cool if raids only had one difficulty and some were made as 40, some as 20, some as 10, and anything else really non classic. How would you make a retail expansion feel like a vanilla wow game basically. Either way, just a pure isolated fresh server and see how people enjoy the game without the non classic stuff in it. Keep all the items, achievements, etc, etc but some big changes in design from classic trilogy to retail is xmog and cross realm, plus the massive amount of stuff other players have.
I play much more of retail than I do of classic. I think this will keep me satisfied for a good long while.

i played a bunch of this on the PTR and it was the most fun ive had leveling in WoW in a long time.
im personally REALLY excited to jump into the remix - anybody thinking this was mop classic was delusional to begin with

Retail talent points system is really good but they need to narrow down classes. There’s way too much spells and classes don’t feel unique cause of mythic plus.

It is a fun mode to play. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to getting it on the last patch of every Xpac or for them to completely overhaul the timewalking into this.
I think if they overhauled timewalking like this that would be awesome, but also there would be the concern about certain expansions feeling dead compared to others. They would definitely need some motive to drive people towards a specific expansion to keep the mode feeling alive. That's already a problem with Timewalking/Retail in general, solo leveling feels dead unless you're dungeon spamming or leveling in whatever expansion everyone says is the fastest right now.
Xaryu: "This isnt for me. If I wanted to play retail I would play the end-game." -- But this is exactly how you get to end-game. This Remix is exactly aimed at people who want a new character, or try a new class, but also dont want the same boring leveling that they have done for 20 years. Xar, the biggest bomb, is slightly out of touch. This is basically giving retailers a max level character for free that they can enjoy in the next Expac.

Retail WoW leveling can hardly get any easier than it already is. This isn't any easier than it already is, it's just an alternate way to level.

I can’t decide what I like better tbh. I know we lose out a lot on customization with the previous talent system, i guess that was from about legion up until shadowlands? Not even sure. I also like the dragonflight system. But if I had to choose I think maybe I’d go with the simpler previous one… am I solo in this? Lol
