That golden color that you're talking about they're Dusty I always call that my haystack makes me feel that I got really good gas coverage on it to keep the oxide out. I've had a trailing cup and try and keep it silver also.

Hey Dusty, thanks for the new Content. What about Amps and Travelspeed ? Is it better to go fast with more Amps to minimate the Heateffected Zone as slow with less Amps?

Great channel brother, could you show some tips on repairing welds on .044 steel / gas tanks after being welded previously a production setting. Various issues such as blow thru in at start, mid weld, or at end. Dealing with varying thickness at repair site. Please show some machine settings and methods of repairs. Thanks

It's easy to keep gas coverage on a propped up fillet. What about an over head outside corner?🤔

Chinese made TIG machines have numerous features, which make things extremely difficult for beginners. There is now more and more UA-cam content, concerned primarily with the appearance of a weld, often with little or no consideration of the integrity of the actual weld.
In regard to the enormous cups, it's worth remembering that the gas required might well be double that needed for the cup sizes commonly used in a commercial setting.
Anyone who has a problem with that, should have a look at the differences between pro set-ups, used commercially, and UA-cam cosmetic appearance stuff.

@@bdr3125 Do you find the bells and whistles on shoddy Chinese machines useful? Does using ridiculous 16 cups for aluminium reduce your gas use?

I get gold and silver colored weld beads but they aren’t shiny at all. They are dull but not dull like an uncovered weld. What could the issue be?
