I had a really similar situation with finding out I had Asperger's and was on the autism spectrum, like I literally said to myself "holy shit, other people feel this way and it makes sense"
It is!! As someone who discovered i had ocd after dan said this, i listened back to this and thought. Oh my god, this is literally how ive been feeling my whole life. Its so nice he shared this story because it helps me get through ocd

I know they're a company and also need to appeal to a wider audience (especially in the gamer community where there is a spectrum of LGBTQ people looking for a safe place to escape), but knowing the Grumps as people (to a certain degree) and how they disapprove of blatant bigotry of others just for being different makes me feel better anyway. Arin may have been serious or just playing it safe, but if he ever reads this, I want the Grumps to know how much I appreciate them making statements like that, and how much better it makes me feel just to hear their affirmation sometimes. In a world where 98% of the people around you, in your circle, or friends and family, make you feel like nothing more than a deviant, the 1% can literally be the thread that keeps you hanging between sanity and insanity.

When Danny talked about knowing who you are as a kid and becoming scared once you hit that adult age, it really hit me. I straight up started crying. Two days ago, I finally got some job applications and filled them out. I could’ve done that sooner but the truth was, I was putting it off because I was scared. This is my first job opportunity and I don’t want anything to go wrong. Also, I’m just scared of not becoming a competent adult.

The fact that Dan and Arin 100% support the LGBTQA+ community is honestly so amazing. It's hard to find allies on the internet sometimes, and it's wonderful to see a couple of bros who can recognize that everyone is beautiful, no matter who their sexuality or gender is. The support for transgender people in that LSL episode honestly made me tear up a bit.

Dear Whoever Puts These Compilations Together,
Hi! I'm Riley. Without giving out too much detail, I am going through a pretty rough patch. Like it seems that everything is just falling apart and there isn't much that I can do about it. Everything I do ends up just dying or I just lose motivation. I watch a lot of game grumps and have been watching them for a few years now. I was one of the first people to love Dan as he came in on Punch Out and wowed us with his Little Mac Skills. So, it goes without saying that I love them and everything they do. Now, onto the reason I am posting this comment. I seem to rarely watch episodes in which they get super deep like they do in this episode. I am at marker 26:27 and I have never felt more motivated than right now. I love how you put this together and put this out there because watching GG and having these come in little doses just wasn't enough, if that makes sense. But hearing them all back to back..

They're such good friends and it shines through nearly everything they do together and I adore them for it.

Also, I agree with Arin SO MUCH about talent. I hate that word. I know some people are born talented, but we still have to work so damn hard to make it. Calling it talent just completely disregards all the effort people put into their craft.

Who else thinks that this is just purely amazing? That one channel has spawned multiple other channels that can make 30 minute to 3 hour videos on all the personalities you see on Game Grumps? There are rage compilations, and the more negative one's like "Salty Grumps" where Arin and Dan are just mean to eachother... or there are positive ones like this, where they do just what the title says: they just warm our hearts. It's really cool, I think.

When I heard Dan say "When I was 18" I knew I was going to start tearing up. I've heard him tell this story so many times and it still hits so hard because you can genuinely see that he's happy now. And with the release of "Danny Don't You Know," it seems like he really accepts who he was when he was younger and just really wants the best for himself now and that makes me so happy.
Danny mentioning that The Last Unicorn is one of his favorite things makes my heart happy.

I would like to point out that the Wind Waker episode where Dan talks about his OCD automatically shows up when searching “Game grumps wind waker”.
When I heard Danny's OCD story for the first time it was the final push I needed to convince me to go to therapy for my own OCD. I'll always be grateful for him sharing that story, helped me realize that it wouldn't control my life for ever. (Also as a nonbinary person that trans part made me tear up, the fact that they felt that they had to apologize for that really meant a lot, I love how supportive they are)
dan really helps me out whenever he talks about when he was a kid and things weren’t going good for him, life is super tough right now for me and knowing that i can trust him with the fact that there IS a light at the end of the tunnel makes me feel good. i’m still waiting for it, but i hope it comes soon.

dans ocd story rlly gets to me. im too anxious about everything to get help because when i was little i didnt have lots of support, so ive been afraid to say anything to anyone. its just. rough
I've been going through an anxiety and depressed episode for about a month now and am also too scared to get help. I feel you.
You both should get help though if you feel you need it.
Because i did and it helped me to feel so much better! (getting off the meds after years wasn't fun, but I'm even better now! so go for it! Don't let fear control you! If nobody else does, then know I am backing you up and encouraging you! And so are the Grumps!)

I almost started crying when I heard Dan talk about having OCD when he was younger. It resonated so much with me and my personal experiences with discovering I had it, and hearing one of my favorite UA-camrs describe the darkest period of my life, practically identical to how it happened for me, just really struck a chord with me.

I know that Dan will never see this but I also suffered for a long time with ocd causing depression because I thought too much without knowing what it was until it got so bad my dad took me to therapy. I got medicine and am still on it and will not be ready to throw it in a lake for some time now, and it gives me hope that you went through the same thing and still became the amazing person that you are.
Don't... don't throw it in a lake though... the withdrawal on most mess is terrible. Go show and wean off it properly, okay?

oh god i only just heard the transphobic joke apology and it made me cry, the fact they felt they had to apologise for the joke they didn't even make and reassure trans watchers that they don't agree with those views is amazing. its just little things like that which help towards a brighter future for me and all other transgender people. thank you, game grumps...thank you.
I literally stopped the video right now, at that part, and started crying. I hadn't seen that grumps video before, and right now I don't even know what joke they're apologizing for, but the fact that they did, and the way they did just so wholeheartedly, it just... It hit me really hard, in a good way. Hearing them say that, not even knowing what the joke was, just warmed my heart so, so much. I never know which content creators I love today are going to turn out to hate people like me, and it can be hard having to be wary of that all the time. But knowing that Arin and Danny are two people I look up to who support me and who I am just lifts me up so fucking much. Honestly.
It made me cry too the first time I watched it, I was totally caught off guard by the sudden seriousness and sincerity and I was so touched that he went out of his way to reassure trans viewers that they were valid. I still go back to that video when I need a little lift sometimes.

Evil Toad Sorry, but I’ve been taught crying is for the weak. I mean it’s fine & all when you do it in private, but never EVER do it in front of people. It only inconveniences them & makes everything uncomfortable. So I will, in fact, call people who cry, pussies.
Don’t get me wrong, I cry too. And for those brief seconds I too, am a pussy. But at least I walk out that bathroom door with dry eyes & my dignity in tact.
This video reduced me to tears. As a 20 year old who was recently diagnosed with autism and feeling as if my entire life has been turned around and my self doubt has been at an all time high, that little part about ignoring the self doubt and the voice just made me tear up. It is something that in all honesty I needed to hear right now
