The Hound + The Fox I’ve never heard of you guys, but I do love Home Free. I try to copy Tim’s low notes (I’ve nearly gotten some, such as in Man OG Constant Sorrow), but his voice is amazing. I loved this song even though I’m not really Christian. And if more of these come across my recommenced list, I’ll give y’all another listen and perhaps, a subscription. Best of luck to you all and Merry Christmas 2019!
@@caerlaverockjaguar3826 Hound & Fox are an awesome Singing Duo, but also 2/3 of FifGen Films w/Jimmy Bates, who filmed many Home Free awesome music vids (also friends Ptx, Peter Hollens, Lindsay Stirling, etc), ..They're also in some of HF vids> espec. are the feat. couple in HF's "Thinking Out Loud" videos..😊💜
Annemay Seyfried I think Hound + Fox should branch into country a bit. I think they’d sound pretty good covering some Conway Twittt/Loretta Lynn songs, and get together with Home Free to do Daddy Sang Bass. I know VoicePlay did a cover of it, but I think HF and H+F would do a better job and keeping it relatively traditional while still making it a cappella.
I doubt you look at the comments here anymore, but just wanted to let you know that you brought an elderly woman to tears with this song. She's at the nursing home I work at and was feeling lonely and depressed. Her room is decorated for Christmas but she was feeling rather down. I sat with her for a few minutes and played some Christmas music for her, this being one of the songs/videos. She watched raptly, singing along, crying gently. She told me she loves music, and GOOD music, and this was better than anything she was hearing on TV. You helped satisfy a real need/hunger in her soul. Thank you.
I'm glad they did not leave out the verse about myrrh. A lot of artists skip it because it's too "dark". It's a somber reminder of the death of Christ. Lovely version! Thanks so much!
RIGHT. It put our nice recording speakers to the test 😅It blew our minds just as much as yours the first time we heard it! Thanks so much for the nice comment Aubrey 😊
Wow, I'm not even Christian but I love this! Tim Foust adds a whole other layer with the super low notes, a beautiful juxtaposition with your two lighter, airier voices. This was a masterpiece, love you guys so much!! ❤️❤️
What a wonderful version of the traditional Christmas song ,the harmonies are just beautiful, sung with real passion but not heavy...I just managed to sing along to Tim Foust deep down in my boots !! the rhythm and drum beat was amazing and atmospheric just right, not too much.... I love Deserts too ,that was a very well done video..I'm 80 not Christian but love Jesus very much , and this version ,brings Jesus into my heart, thank you very much, God bless your work...keep it up...greetings from UK
Tim's solo at 1:29 !! The base voice! 😍😍 And as always, the feel of the song is well captured. One of my favourite songs, you've made it more beautiful! 😍😘😘
Yay!! That's high praise considering its a favorite of yours! It's hard to believe how good Tim is, and it was so fun to be able to use his full power and have this song cover almost 4 octaves 😅❤️
The Hound + The Fox I’m so glad you got him to use his full power! Did you guys record him in the morning? Voices are typically lower early in the morning. If that’s his natural voice much later in the day, then that’s freaky!

Thank you so much! Tim's addition took what we were already very excited about and made it better than we could have imagined, and we're so glad you liked it so much! And you can't even think of having him feature on a song without him busting our butts with that ridiculously low awesomeness
I listened to this after the Christmas sermon. I wept as I imagined being in the presence of baby Jesus! What a powerful song and your voices are amazing!!❤❤
Star of wonder, star of night... Guide us to thy perfect light... And it has brought me straight to this such beautiful performance of this beautiful song, just at Epiphany day. God bless you for your voices, artists!

Chorus: Ohhh Star of wonder, star of night Star with royal beauty bright Westward leading, still proceeding Guide us to thy perfect Light. @Jean Blythe Thank you for posting the lirycs, as it makes easier to sing along to the song. I must say, though, that you got an error in the chorus, as they say "thy", which is an ancient form of "yours". "Guide us to thy perfect light" And while I'm not completely sure, I believe that in the fourth verse she says "Breathe alive of gathering gloom"...

That's what's important. King, God, and sacrifice.
Yes, and I wonder how the new mum and dad reacted to it. However, it's an important part of the entire story.
